  • I like how the baby alligator just looked like an adult, but smaller. Just this emotionless beast who patiently tolerates Evangeline's parenting.

    • ..when in reality even alligators can grow up with people and be socialized. Moral: don't start an animal, child, otherwise it will bite off your father's leg and you will have to finish him off.

  • This man didn't pay attention to his daughter because he had lost the love of his life and he was grieving the loss of his wife, we don't know if she died or if she left them...when his daughter bravely saved him, he realised that she was there and that she loved him and needed his love....

  • Damn.. grief can be a tough nut to crack, especially when your inside. Great short story, really nicely done. Loved the shot of Evangeline lying on the Gator... What I won't be able to unsee for a while is the fully loaded boat 😔

  • This was a gem of a find. Being from Louisiana and very familiar with the story of Evangeline I thought it would be a retelling of the original. It is not, but I enjoyed it all the same. Thanks for posting.

  • Bin der 200ste like :) Sehr schöner Kurzfilm. Von Animation, Soundkulisse und Voiceacting hat mir alles gefallen. Ich frage mich nur wie man ein Tier von dieser Größe so lange geheim halten kann. 😁 Ich fands auch sehr süß das der Babyalligator ein normaler Alligator war nur in sehr klein. Mit am eindrucksvollsten war für mich die Szene mit dem Kutter (oder was das richtige Wort da ist), sehr gut in Szene gesetzt, weckte in mir das Interesse mehr erfahren zu wollen, war auch schön düster und gut untermalt von der Musik.

  • I'm sure Evangeline didn't mean to make her dad lose his leg to her pet gator, who I'm gonna call Gallie. In the end, though, Gallie is still a dangerous wild animal, no matter how much love she showers him with. I'm also sure Levon didn't blame her for keeping Gallie as a pet and making him lose his leg to him.

  • Inattentive parent fails to notice enormous alligator in kid's bedroom. I like how it hatched as a literal adult. The most un-baby looking alligator hatchling ever. Then grew up almost over night.

  • Keeping a gator is far from safe even if you hatched it. The father realized that it is not enough to keep give his child clothing, house to live in, materials but lack of attention. Lesson in here is keeping our kids safe is to be their side everytime. As shown in the last clip, a swimming gator in the river doesnt matter as long as Im with you.

  • Great work on making this video and I'm glad the father started to cherish his daughter. But I believe this video is also about the cruelty of harvesting crocodile skin. Unless an animal is going to be consumed for sustanance it is wrong and needs to be outlawed.

  • I believe that alligators/crocodiles, and any other reptiles, have some sort of feelings just as mammals or birds would do. It's just they are unable to express them in a way understandable to us, humans, or we, humans, simply don't understand them.

  • Очень поучительно. Чтоб мы обратили внимание на своих детей! Вот такая своеобразная пощёчина от крокодила. Мультфильм аллегоричный, но вразумительный. Форма подачи конечно грубая, но это в вашем духе.

  • In my perspective, children when neglected can get involved in dangerous activities, which can seem innocent at the beginning like just hatching an innocent looking egg out of innocent love and care. In time it can become extremely harmful and dangerous for the whole family.

  • This is scary... Ok listen to this! I was an adventurous tomboy as a little girl. I have brown hair and always tied it back in a pony tail. I am a caucasian with a light complexion. I have green eyes. In a bicycle accident I lost my first tooth, the same she has missing. As a teen my parents kinda left me alone a bit to much, making me get bad friends or imaginary ones. It took a big and bad event to make my parents show me some love again. I think baby crocs and aligators are hella adorable! 2 idiots one thought I guess?

  • i understand the story in this show but first off long before the gator grows up the father will stumble into finding it . and kill it or mouth tie and drag it deep in the swamps. but in the end a daughter's love outweighs a pet and saving her father was the important thing to do as a film art piece very we done.

  • Мне интересно,одна я не поняла ничего,или ещё есть люди? Ребенок нашёл яйцо крокодила,затем крокодил вырос,по виду года 3,а ребенок нет.Что потом произошло,вообще не понятно.Ноивроде все живы.Так себе мультик.Наверно сейчас все подумают,что я глупая.Но мне все равно.

    • Это о другом.Метафоры. Девочке нужно было дарить и получать любовь.Отец ей этого не давал.И вот появился Крокодил. Ужасный,но любимый и ручной. В отце наконец проснулось желание защитить своего ребенка от ужаса,она ведь не понимала,что это угроза. В противостоянии ужаса и проснувшейся любви дочь выбрала отца и отказалась от Крокодила. Иногда бывает иначе.
