I remember playing Comanche, which had something similar - you hear the BEEP of the radar warning receiver and then you've got half a second to get behind cover before you're blasted out of the sky.
So this is what keeps fucking me up in Battlefield? Hm
+Mr_GENALLIST HAHA for real man that's what I say
SEV3369 AA is OP as hell lol
yes lol
+Mr_GENALLIST Just hop in a tank, and he'll abandon ship after about two shells.
I love how they move.
So quick and agile, me like.
THANKS for share it. From spain.
Thanks J, I've up-dated it :-)
@martydrooo Yes, your fully right. This system is done for counteraction to the battle helicopters and hedge-hoppers of opponent. These machines dont operate unsupported. Its one of the components of defence, but this is NOT absolute instrument of defence.
nice shoot
@hiimcb No but they have a very low minimum engagement altitude of 15 metres. But the more modern Pantsir-S1 can engage groung targets (and almost certainly the newest Sosna-R also)
@1973frassrand no they are... against helicopters, planes like A-10 or Su-25 and even cruise missiles.
@TwistedComplex No you haven't. Tor is also a Russian design and is in service in substantial numbers there.
@bax7172 Each S-300 unit has it's own radar, it's common to have 3-4 per battery, so you have to take out all those radars to disable them totally. The radars have a range greater than that of the engagement range of most weapon systems you'd use to take them out too, and they very rarely operate as a single battery. They're spread out all over the place and supplemented by more powerful radar networks. It's a grid, it isn't a single radar. Also, a missile costs less and has no pilot to die.
damn thats the coolest russian thing ive seen in a while
God damn that's a mean beast!
this tank is a nice anti-infantry weapon, not only anit-air
@Ouija1210 the problem with that assessment is the Sukhoi PAK FA isnt gonna be ready for depolyment til 2015 has the initial reports are stating. And even then they arent gonna have alot in that first year unless they launch a crash program building these bad boys.
Fuck yeah! I love KZhead. Full of military experts, who have acess to highly classified information and are willing to share those infos.
nice.. and.. can you make some example of a new generation AA-gun/missile launcher or whatever it kills aircraft?i'm curious
Those guns move so fast..... holy shit.
@bax7172 Modern AA systems can tell military and civilian aircraft apart. They can even tell you what model of aircraft they are. All civilian aircraft have ID signatures too. The speed and altitude is also a give away as to what it is, and S-300 units can operate independently of the grid. They also don't just use radar, but a whole host of different sensors like Infra-Red to track heat signatures and so on. The only way to stop all this is to get them all on the ground simultaneously with SF.
@Ouija1210 The only Threat is the B-2. F-22 Craptor has been canceled back in 09. On top of that it was out performed by Su-22 (LOL)
When i served in the german Bundeswehr we always called the Tunguska "Gepardski" because it looks pretty similar to the Gepard.
We need this !!! Regards of Serbia
@lumberjack474 I agree, russian weapons always top'd in 1 factor. Simplicity and effectiveness... but when they come to match, normally they surpass, the KA-52 is a pretty good example. The Tunguska is aswell...
are u sure u didnt use to much greese on that gun? its moving alittle to quick dont u think?
@hiimcb Why? Are you in a hurry to go and buy one from the local dealer?
Nice
i need this baby for this summer
It seems your right, the M1A1 does seem to be faster, but how do you know the composite armor on the M1A1 is better than the T-90? You can only make assumptions but the armor on the T-90 is classified, it's also backed up by some of the best ERA bricks on there. Oh yeah, if it isn't spoofed, then whats the point of the shtora? But if you're actually right on that, the Arena APS actually intercepts with another rocket.
@xSonsofSunsx then who are the superpowers?
Oh wait, but what about the T-90MS? It seems like a huge improvement on the T-90. The whole interior looks re-done with new tech and the exterior seems to be covered with a lot more armor. Also the T-99 Armata, Russia's new tank, a 4th generation tank with a planned prototype in 2013. It seems completely different, a whole new design.
yes it says it in the title
Near the end of the video, one of the operators says "popal" "Popal" means "hit", I think.
Check out SPAAAs - self-propelled Anti-aircraft artillery.
@nawzy202 I think against low flying air support its deadly...but who would send in helos if they know AA is around...so yea, probably gets very little use unless one side makes a mistake...
@1973frassrand So u wanna say the tunguska doesnt work..?
I WAS TALKING ABOUT INCOMING ROCKETS AND MISSILES THE WHOLE TIME -_______________-. But since you're talking about the actual round from the cannon, my argument is that the T-90 is equipped with some of the best Reactive Armor in service. That may not be enough to completely stop a DU round but it probably won't penetrate the T-90. You also don't seem to think the the T-90 has the same rounds, maybe it could penetrate an Abrams?
@Howie262 well how about putting armor in a x number of degrees that it becomes better protective, is that german... no its russian.
@franknbeans4761 The figures may be slightly different depending on if you count the troops from the Commonwealth. You are partly right, but we look at it a little different way since Americans had a different resistance most of the war. Americans fought effectively against Japan for example, but when they met "real" German units Americans died as much as everyone else since Americans were relatively inexperienced at war environment in Europe.
exactly, than what would we use to get there and effectively attack. I'm not just talking about these, in general I mean.
the a-10 warthog is exactly what this was designed to kill. that and the apache. all the time operating under the high alt air shield provided by BUK units
I believe that the A-10s and other ground attack aircraft had to change their tactics to deal with this thing. On the other hand, it is cheap and lethal defense against low-flying aircraft, provided that you destroy them before they get in range to fire missiles.
@TwistedComplex first its called tor m1 and 2nd: look it up in wikipedia its russian.
On testing grounds, the T-90 has been proven to survive 6 shots capable to the Abrams 120mm main cannon. It was not even repaired and it was still rolling out fine. The T-72's in Iraq were cheap export versions with poorly trained crew members.
Well, this certainly aged well
You want crew survivability, check out the Israeli Merkava. Engineered from the ground up to provide the maximum protection for the crew.
@Ouija1210 well said well said !!!!
That's me, surfing the tube.
War Thunder 1.87 lets go baby
If a B-2 Spirit was sailing at its ceiling of 50,000ft (15.2 KM) the Tunguska couldn't detect it, nor have any chance of hitting it. You can use Pythagoras theorem to determine weather the Tunguska is able to hit something.
@MSianGenGTeam19571 u got a spare one for me? Ill install it on the top of my house as a deterrent to snooping police choppers.
@smokinthepot A10 is only useful when the enemy doesn't have whole batteries of missiles.
@61741467 sucks the radar is blocking the ground view though:D
@TheGreatWurstbrot It's not a tank, it's and anti-aircraft vehicle.... -.-" And it's one of the best in the world.
афигительно
ur welcome
Гордость берет за Тульских конструкторов...
Hey I found where BF2 got its sounds
Masshaaallah
@SolarMichael well the sloped armor is a russian idea, same with auto rifles (look at avtomat fedorov), ICBM's, proton rockets, ifv is a russian concept.... they have invented lot of stuff
Ya but there is a thing called a A-10 and unmanned drones that would take this thing out in a heart beat.
This thing is fucking gorgeous!
they move fast
its not about the guns, its about the amount of soldiers, aircraft etc.
@Kominex AH64- the tunguska is already blown up by a stealth bomber
@2serveand2protect why would like to see sth like this?
This vs AH64? who win?
@xSonsofSunsx they are superpower
попали...) не хило попали.
@Howie262 Tunguska shows what the perfect gepard would be like ;)
The turret popped off in the first place because it was not as heavily protected as the T-90. I'm not sure about the turret layout of the tank because i can't find anything about it, but it sadly is, most likely the same. Also not sure about the "most likely to die" part because it's served in Chechnya, Dagestan and Georgia but I don't that it has sustained 1 total loss. The Georgian army and militants had much more advanced and effective weapons than the terrorists in Afghanistan right now.
this is actually called Gepard BF135 in Germany
no, its analog Russian ZSU-23-4 "Shilka" and gepard his copy
Uhh why did they show something explode on the ground in that video? isn't supposed to be anti-air? hitting the ground with a missile would be an assumed fail...
shere osomnes!!!
It looks for something out of star gate or star trek or star wars with wheels kinda :p
but did they get crappy outdated rifles and improper training?
Link?
Death's how i roll. Everyday in BF3
Cause they'd be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to OP
wow that fast way faster than the german 1 made in the 70s
this is why we can never find Santa......
@Ouija1210 lol, reminds me of Russia's anhilation of Georgia with just ground troops
that thing would scare the shit out of me
this monster is in BF3 the video game
dat GUN!!!
but this one moves too much when firing it's guns so it can't be very accurate without a stabilisation system
this will easy kill a-10??
@bunny153649 yes you right )))
1) dont know 2) yes!
Dear Santa...
Chuck Norris have a Tunguska M1 on his garage.
Why does the flame come out the side f the gun system?
Because of the heat, it must be air there or it will burn (the ammo)
Best defense is to hit first!!!
I want a gun like that!
@erer270 Why?
every time i tried to get this in BF3 i always fail.
I think its safe to say that if you turned up at a clay pigeon shoot in one of those you would get disqualified!!!
look at the basement lol with your comment youproofedthat you dont wachted the video twice or even once :D
@bax7172 General history of warfare since 1945.
@Howie262 Gepard 550/1 min, TUNGUSKA 5000/1 min :)
