I remember this as a child, even though I was six. I actually thought they were Chas and Dave. Who I'd seen live in the audience for Crackerjack. It was so funny though when my daughter first saw Ronnie Corbett. He was a guest on Strictly Come Dancing and when he came down the stairs my daughter said "Who's that little man?" "Well it's Ronnie Corbett". "But he's so little Mum. Is he a real person?" "Yes, he's just short." "Well, I don't think he is real. He must be a robot man or something. He is very funny though." "Well, yes, that's his job." My daughter and I often have these surreal conversations.

Right, so, opening sketch. Chas and Dave. Chas and Dave Christmas Special 1982 was EXACTLY like this and was brilliant - and it's on KZhead and still shown on British TV some Christmases. Look on imdb - both this and the real Chas and Dave were shown on the same day in 1982. How?? And why?? I don't have the times of day for either show. But there is a radio Times archive I may look into. How did they get access, and it would be a pretty clever joke of the Chas and Dave was shown earlier in the day than this.

I wish someone would upload the complete programme with the David Essex segment back in.
I wish they wouldn’t 😂
Telly before patronising the audience was popular.
where have all these great christmases gone ? just seem really boring now ?
its a british rail winterbreak weekend !! too much funny it is
The late and famous 'Beam me up scotty' intelligent Ronnie Corbett and intelligent Ronnie Barker. Remember William Shatner ?
I agree but then it shows how far tv has fallen .I don’t watch tv much these days. I prefer you tube
Too funny
what music is in the intro?
Right, so, opening sketch. Chas and Dave. Chas and Dave Christmas Special 1982 was EXACTLY like this and was brilliant - and it's on KZhead and still shown on British TV some Christmases. Look on imdb - both this and the real Chas and Dave were shown on the same day in 1982. How?? And why?? I don't have the times of day for either show. But there is a radio Times archive I may look into. How did they get access, and it would be a pretty clever joke of the Chas and Dave was shown earlier in the day than this.
Different channels. Chas and Dave ITV , Two Ronnie's BBC. Also Different times.
haha discount it's a wonderful life
can't think of anyone who wants to go to Basildon
