Have you seen any of Dr. James White’s videos? They seem very fair and also charitable.
What does the Islamic religion and your standing with it have to do with your appreciation of how the uploader explained things? Would it be any different if you were an atheist, Christian, Jew, Hindu, etc.?

As a Muslim I'm surprised that you even brought up the 5 pillars of Islam. You did alot of research on this video and I appreciate it
That's barely research. Every kid knows the 5 pillars
@@007kash007 What are the 5 pillars?
@@Unkn0wn_U53r The Five Pillars of Islam are the core beliefs and practices that every Muslim follows. They are: Shahada (Faith): This is the declaration of faith, affirming that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger. It is the foundational creed of Islam. Salah (Prayer): Muslims are required to perform ritual prayers five times a day facing the Kaaba in Mecca. These prayers are performed at specific times: Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), and Isha (night). Zakat (Charity): This pillar involves giving to those in need, typically through a prescribed portion of one's wealth or income. It serves as a form of purification and redistribution of wealth within the community. Sawm (Fasting): During the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, refraining from eating, drinking, and marital relation. Fasting is a means of spiritual purification, self-discipline, and empathy with the less fortunate. Hajj (Pilgrimage): Muslims who are physically and financially able are required to undertake a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca at least once in their lifetime. The pilgrimage occurs annually during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah and involves specific rituals at sacred sites, commemorating the actions of Prophet Abraham and his family. There is more to the religion than these, but these are core grounding points of the faith

I'm married to an Indian Hindu, and I've been around that culture because of it for the past 10 years or so. For a 10 second summary, you actually did pretty well with the Hindu description. i'm glad you emphasized that Hindus kinda both believe in many gods and also, in a way, one god. and that they have a very pluralistic approach to religion. as an expample, I know many Hindus that actually have no problem believing that Christ is God. They just believe that He's simply one more version/incarnation of the same supreme god
9:25 seconds *
is the closest way of describing it using christian terminology modalism?
@@bomboclaaat92 yeah, I'd say so. but I'm not Hindu and it's a vast philosophy/theology. You could ask 1000 Hindus and they'd probably all give you different answers. A family friend whos a Hindu told me one time that all religions believe in the same god, they just don't realize it. that god reveals himself to different cultures and peoples at different times in history in ways that those cultures and peoples would understand.
@@devinbrooks3927that’s not possible because different religions believe different things about God that contradict one another. Jews believe Jesus was not the son of god, nor a prophet, muslims believe that he was a prophet but not the son of God, and Christian believe he was both a prophet and the son of god. It is logically impossible for all three religions to be right.

As a Buddhist I would just change the wording from “deny yourself pleasure” to “stop running after desire” , or “stop clinging to desire”
Can I ask, for a buddhist, where do you go when you pass away?
@@someperson3169 You will remain part of the physical world (which can be interpreted as being reborn, although there are several other interpreations within buddhism) until you can free yourself from all physical attachment after which point you will become part of nirvana which is a state of spiritual harmony outside the bounds of the physical world. I should add: Achieving enlightenment (= becoming a buddha, "someone who knows the way") is the ultimate goal of most (strict) buddhists. They try to live a life in harmony with all beings, and detach themself from physical desires. The only important thing to them is spiritual enlightenment. Depending on the specific version of buddhism that someone follows, there are quasi-enlightened spirits who decided to not completely detach themself from the physical world by choice. This is for example the case in tibetian buddhism in the person of the Dalai Lama - who is a reborn buddha, so his spirit could at any time leave the physical world and become part of nirvana except for his love for the rest of humanity to also achieve enlightenment.
Also, the Buddha said you can choose to believe in God or not to believe in God. Everything is in you. God or no God is in you.

This is a high quality video and I think it is a much needed overview/summary for a lot of people.
You mean it filled all the gaps you are _aware_ of having had in your pre-existing knowledge. 'Cuz, you know, there's a lot of stuff he missed out on mentioning in the video, and to presume that _all_ of the gaps you had in your pre-existing knowledge were filled is kinda overestimating how complete your pre-existing knowledge was... Islam didn't come to existence 1400 year ago. And Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was not the founder of Islam. islam has been there since man set foot on this Earth (from Adam (pbuh)) there were 124000 messengers (Adam, Noah, Solaman, Jonah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad (pbuh)) chosen among men to deliver the message of the one and only God Almighty. And the last and final messenger was Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). All the messengers came before Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) were sent for a particular group of people and for a particular time period. Since Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the last and final messenger he was sent for the whole world and till the end of the world ! every #nation was sent a Messenger for their guidance. The important matter was the concept of Tawheed i.e., in oneness of Allah. The secondary matter was #Shariah which kept changing from tribe to tribe and nation to nation. Allah, the most high, alone knows what is good for His creation. As it is mentioned in the Qur'ân: And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. (Qur'ân 10:47) And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e., do not worship Taghut besides Allah)." Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). (Qur'ân 16:36) Some of these Messengers are mentioned in the Qur'ân by Allah and some of them are not as the Qur'ân says: And, indeed We have sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad(P)); of some of them We have related to you their story and of some We have not related to you their story, and it was not given to any Messenger that he should bring a sign except by the Leave of Allah. So, when comes the Commandment of Allah, the matter will be decided with truth, and the followers of falsehood will then be lost. (Qur'ân 40:78) "So, we decided to have a look at the issue of Messengers sent to various tribes and nations and taking the advice of the Qur'ân So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the #truth). The material below is an attempt to show that how different tribes in different parts of the world had #Monotheism, i.e., worship of one true God. But along the true God some subservient gods are also worshipped in some cases. www.islamic-awareness.org/History/prophet.html

just quickly saying Jesus said he is the way truth and life, no one comes to the Father but through him. John 8:58 NKJV Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 1:2 NKJV He was in the beginning with God. Colossians 1:15-16 NKJV [15] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. [16] For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. John 10:30 NKJV I and My Father are one.”

@@loganstrait7503 the religious tradition is the shorthand for the damaging effects of what's being condemned. Looking at it's intrinsic and extrinsic effects, the seeking of pleasure, rather than deriving it as a side effect of righteousness, were you to accept it at all would do the same thing as appealing to the tradition.
@loganstrait7503 no, because that's a conclusion. People first believe their religion is true, then they conclude that self-denial is good. This is the opposite of new age spiritualism. They want to give themselves endless pleasure, so then they conclude no religion can be true, inverting the logic
@@loganstrait7503the human body is in a careful balance, so denying yourself stuff that will have a negative impact on that balance is good.

As a Hindu who has long listened to your arguments, I appreciate the respect you spoke of our faith, even as we disagree.
Yes me as a Hindu also find hinduism very complex , but the problem is that Hinduism is very well blended with our way of life . So it's difficult to separate the religion from the knowledge of thousands of years from our ancestors which they did by mere observation
He got the caste system wrong tho. Lord Krishna speaks to Arjuna as he clarifies the origin and purpose of the caste system in sanaatana dharma (Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4, Shloka 13). चातुर्वर्ण्यं मया सृष्टं गुणकर्मविभागशः। तस्य कर्तारमपि मां विद्ध्यकर्तारमव्ययम्।।4.13।। The summary of this Sanskrit verse is that the four-fold order was created according to the divisions of quality and work. The second line of this sloka is connected closely to the 2nd Chapter of Bhagwad Gita and specifies the all pervading aspect of the God principle The emphasis is on guna (aptitude) and karma (function) and not on jaati (birth). The varna or the order to which we belong is independent of sex, birth or breeding. A caste is determined by temperament and vocation - not by birth or heredity.
The fact that he described it as a buffet 😂 Hilarious but true
The hierarchy in hinduism you are saying have never heard of it in reality , Also the caste system is a foreign word , the real word is varna system which defines an individual's role in the society, originally there were numerous pyramids of roles and hierachies which you can think of like a food chain and many different foodchains/pyramids make a food web . This was what it was made originally, but yeah it had flaws and turned into a social evil in financial hierarchy the vaishyas were the top But I do agree caste system is real And its diminishing rapidly , but for fact the generation after 2000s rarely face caste problems its mostly present in rural areas
What exactly did you disagree about with him?
As a ragging alcoholic and sometimes mental patient, I am impressed with the way you showed all religions in an unbiased manner.
Would you say the raging alcoholism and mental health are correlated or causal… and can you be certain of being unbiased.
lmfaoooo
unbiased words = aggressive vomiting? good joke ... christ (a religion including science, money, so words in general? to wear what someone vomits ... to worry, war, wrath, wrong ...), alcohol and mental problems are correlated, or the same (in any case, they are in one vomited comment) ... why should/how could someone "know" another person than himself? nonense, i guess ... especially a dead person, right? who idk if existed, "is said", but living people are saying that, they are saying that = speaking about themselves ... and i guess words are toxic, when people vomit them ...
I would say they are very correlated. I plan to do better but every time I fail and have another drink guilt sets in which triggers feelings of depression which in turn causes more drinking. I understand fully what you mean about being biased, in this sense, not only have you messed up against yourself, but you have disappointed god.@@Haidar-Philosophy

there's onereligion and Islam didn't come to existence 1400 year ago. The material below is an attempt to show that how different tribes in different parts of the world had #Monotheism, i.e., worship of one true God. www.islamic-awareness.org/History/prophet.html

you are christian, yet you still explain all this without bias you have my utmost respect
What you said in the end... "Some people try and respect all religions by saying, they're all basically teaching the same thing... But this actually disrespects all religions by discarding the uniqueness of their claims." As a follower of Christ, I absolutely agree with you.
"Omnism" is really just indifferentism, which usually just reduces to practical atheism. You can't say that all religions are the same without denying that the answers to these questions matter. It's like trying to design a bridge and just randomly guessing values for the strength of your material.
@@jdotozwell all bridges are the same in the sense that they have the same goal behind it. That's why all bridges are called bridges. For that same reasy all religions are fundamentally the same, heck everything is fundamentally the same.
@@sonkeschmidt2027 A bridge for heavy traffic made of rolled up newspapers will not achieve its purpose. ETA: It isn't even true that all religions have the same goals. Take, for example, how to deal with suffering. The goal of Buddhism is to eliminate suffering by eliminating desire. The goal of many forms of paganism is to reduce suffering by appeasing the gods who control the problem areas of your life. The goal of Christianity is to embrace your suffering and unite it with the sacrifice of Jesus, directing it towards your ultimate salvation and divinization/theosis.
@@jdotoz wether or not it achieves the purpose doesn't change that the goal of the same. A paper bridge has the same goal as a concrete bridge, whether or not it achieves this goal. Equally every religion has the same goal at it's core, even though they may have very different ways through which they attempt to achieve it.
But if we believe that every religion is completely unique then that means one (or none) may be true while all others are inherently false. I prefer to believe that, just like many legends arising from a single event, each religion holds a grain of truth, but no more than that. Think about it for a moment. As a Christian, you would say there are many angels, correct? Now, what if the polytheistic religions just call all angels gods? I'm not sure which angel is the angel of death, but I know there is one. And if he really exists, wouldn't he have had many names throughout history? Anubis, Charon... however many others. The more I think about different religions, I see more correlations than irreconcilable differences, really.
I love how oversimplified yet complex these always are 😂

Why wouldn’t a christian talk respectfully and without bias about every religion?
@@rodrigojds I'm not making any accusations
@@rodrigojds everytime someone gives a compliment someone has to turn it into a negative
@@rodrigojds Because Christians tend to believe only their religion is righteous and anyone who follows any other religion will be sent to hell to burn for eternity.
