The TNT dupe is very intentional. In a PaperMC server I'm running, there's a setting to specifically allow/disallow that "glitch" (and, Mojang is well aware, as they are with iron farms and the like). Well, what I rather mean is that they don't want to annoy the Minecraft community too much by "fixing" such useful glitches that dedicated players love.

Until the devs make something that does near the exact same thing, then they will patch it out.
yeah i wouldn't mind they patching it, but then i really want a "legal" way to auto-mine blocks. there's nothing fun in mining manually 3000 terracotta for a map art project, but building a machine that does it for you is fun. also bombing the shit out of things is. an other option could be to make dispensers movable (only in bedrock i believe) and make TNT a lot cheaper. or now that i think about it... i still didn't make my creeper farm.

The replies have the right idea. The inventory dupe only works for singleplayer worlds, and even on those, you may prefer the other dupes because they’re automatic while you have to actively inventory dupe, but honestly that only comes up on MASSIVE projects or continuous furnace usage.

I can't even feel bad about the carpet one, since they're renewable anyway. It just helps you rapidly get a lot of carpets for construction jobs, sweetberry farms, or if you're having fuel shortages living out in a desolate biome like tundra, ocean, or desert.

I didn't hear about rail duplication before, so for me, that is the main point of the video. Inventory dupe is too op as you said, but the other thigs are really usefull, and save a lot of time crafting items or collecting/afk-ing for gold to craft the powered rails.

CCS covenant raid farm it's a lot of effort to build but can give you 9 stacks of emeralds per minute

My favorite is TNT generator. It seems to be the most useful, most widely used. It's a must have for flying machines, since dispensers cannot be moved without mods. I think the 2nd most useful might be the rail duper. (Note that the TNT duper doesn't actually dupe items that can be picked up or stored, feels like less of a dupe cheat and more like a feature.) With iron and gold farms (and redstone farms like witch farm or raid farm) it's not necessary, but this cheat could make early game life easier. I don't need to dupe carpets, I have wool farms ;) If you don't spawn near a coral reef, it's easier to make wool farm than carpet duper :) The gravity block duper doesn't seem to work for me, but I'm running my own papermc server. Same for tripwire, didn't work for me. And I already have more iron than I need :) The inventory duping is op, but at that point if you have access to the process then you can just have /op or enable cheats and do more than just dupe.

Hook up the carpet duplication machine to a simple redstone clock and it will work automatically. then, enclose the space and put hoppers on the floor that lead into a double chest or two and it will be AFK-able
My fav was the inventory one. Like wow. Not only the items inside the shulkers, but the shulkers themselves get duped as well.

Here's a really slow dupe I found for singleplayer. It uses game files. So you get the item you want to dupe into your inventory. Then, you go into the world file and save playerdata somewhere else. Then, go back into the world and put the item in a chest. Then, you go back into the world files, and put the playerdata you just saved back into the world file. That will keep your inventory the same as when you put the item into the chest, and keep the item in the chest.
if you’re editing game files you might as well just do commands or get a mod

With the inventory glitch, there is a more efficient way to do it. You can dupe your entire inventory by puting in to a chest after the relogining, and before you close the chest, you end the java task

I have a rule of thumb for duplication if it saves me time and I COULD get it then it allowed for example i can dupe obsidian for a build since I could grind and get it but it will save me time but i can’t dupe stuff like armor, netherite, or beacons since it’s not just a time saving matter
Plus it's fun to find netherite is the wild
That still ruins some of the grind aspect of the game thiugb
Also duping new armour for when you die is time saving by your logic and you could get it so it’s fine by your logic
