I always seem to drop my phone when I'm most worried about it, for example when i just got it. When I had my Phone for 2 Years and am more casual and not so carefull, I never drop it...

I wonder if it is possible to make the back glass easily removable? Like if the new glass back just had an adhesive back side so you could just remove the old glass and stick the new one on would the new one be more prone to falling off, or would a yellow hue form?

This case didn't have even that front panel cover :( Still the iPhone 8 shatters super easy - probably due the aluminum + glass. iPhone X is stainless steel and glass. I still feel that portable devices should be made to withstand at least a 3 foot drop. Will agree that they didn't make the case well, the case makers are going to refund me for another reason...
Kharizmah yes, cases do not protect your phone 100%. Cases only decrease the chance of a phone from cracking cause they can only absorb so much energy. Reason why I just use an aluminum bumper case. Protects the phone and I can still admire the design vs having it trapped in an otterbox

Stopped buying apple products after my ipod that I NEVER dropped had a small crack near the power button, seeing the 8 get obliterated on the second drop makes me glad I made that decision
I`ve had the iPhone 4S, 5S, 6, 7 and NONE of them broke anything, I sold them basically as new. Always use a good case with screen protection and you're good to go! Even if you practice cardistry flourishes with your phone and drop it a lot.

a lot of the reason for shattering is the angle and position of impact. When it hits the frame it seems ok, tilt forward or backward so the corner of the phone hits in cat act with the glass it breaks every time. They are so fragile though. i broke a 7plus screen with a screen protector and case on it because it made contact with the glass in the corner but it only cracked a tiny amount. I will be using your vid as a guide when i replace it!

I think the problem is the fast charger they recommend is currently too big to fit in the box. Maybe they will make a smaller one

Definitely dropped mine with the case on it and the back broke underneath like yours did only from falling off a Table and then it fell again from a stroller and shattered the surface of the back glass. Both times there was a case on it and $500+ doesn’t sound good when the phone costs so much
I have the 10 and I have dropped it I don’t know how many times! Mostly from holding my baby and trying to text or talk but anyway... never has it dropped without a case on it and I’m so glad because I’m sure after seeing this, it would’ve been done for! Definitely should always consider a case no matter what phone you have but that was a no brainer for me when I got the X. Especially when there’s glass involved! Thanks for the video!
I put cases on my phones and it makes them ugly, bulky, and last forever. I typically break 3-4 phone cases a year and I break zero phones. Ever.
