Api stands for application programming interface and is a set of rules and protocols that defines how to software programs and systems can communicate with each other. It acts as an intermediary between two systems allowing them to exchange data and functionality. API allows an app to access data from a database or it might allow a website to access third party services such as payment processors. APIs are an important part of modern software development as they enable different software programs and systems to work together and share data and functionality They are used in wide range of applications including web development , Mobile App Development and data analysis.
