    • LaPorta was a second round pick. Not covered in this group. Both LaPorta and Branch were excellent second round picks for the Lions. I also disagree with C+ for Campbell. His playing time was limited by the fact the Lions already had a strong LB core. When he did play he was very good but not an A level player for sure. I would give him a straight B. He will be all-Pro by year 3, middle LB takes time to learn in the NFL. He is a unicorn in his physical traits and a hard worker, he will be great before long.

  • You can tell the person assigning these grades just looked at stats and doesn’t actually watch football or understand the impact of each player. Paris Johnson Jr. getting a C- is absurd. He played every single snap and helped anchor an O-line on a really bad team that ended up being pretty solid by the end of the year. Yes there were growing pains, but it was a very solid pick by the Cards.

Allowed only 5 sacks and was one of the best OFL on the team after learning a new position and having to have an appendectomy. • Kancey got Defensive Rookie of the Month at the end of November? Wouldn’t say that’s a D rating. He started off slow but also missed 3 games to start the year so it took some time for him to heal up and adjust. I’d give him at least a C+

    • You guys are crazy. B+ for this man. Was hurt since preseason, misses a couple of games to start. Behind the 8 ball but came on strong. He is always pressuring the qb and is solid on the top 10 run defense. Kancey and Yaya brought juice to a team that needed it.

  • Stroud/Flowers/Addison have to be tops. Lots of other solid picks like Pitt with Jones, though i feel Joey Porter Jr their second outshined. Heck pitts first 4 picks have all contributed and been hits this year. Jones/Porter/Benton/Herbig have all contributed big time. JPJ is gonna be a shut down corner for years.

  • Paris Johnson played every single down for 17 games and faced the toughest pass rushers in the league. He played great overall. The Cardinals were the only team to have over 4 games of over 200 yards rushing. Connor had his first 1000 yard year and did it in only 14 games. Cardinals receivers had the least separation in the league so they gave up some coverage sacks. Paris got better in the second half with Kyler in the lineup. B+. He's nowhere near a C-. That's lunacy. PFF is just wonky sometimes.

  • Per PFF Darnell Wright was the 2nd best rookie OT (behind only former OSU and current Brown OT Dawand Jones), ahead of both Paris Johnson and Broderick Jones. This also sounds more impressive than it is, since they're all within about five points of each other in grading and NONE of them was graded as one of the best OTs overall. I would say give them about three years and we will know a whole lot more about them. Early indications imo, are that Johnson, Wright and Jones will all be good OTs down the road.
