Excuse me?? This song is FIRE!!!!!!! The melody and transitions have all the subtlety and emotional dissonance to be a song that I remember for years to come. That slight somber dip in the note when you say the word shine. The lyrics speak to me of innocence and shame, a pain I never tell anyone. I heard this song and I cried, and I also danced, it’s raw and to the heart, it says so much while also saying so little, which if that is not the truest demonstration of artistic mastery, then I don’t know what is.
