2023-05-19 We were visited by a couple of large manatees, a female and a male. They were both very friendly and curious, checking out our fins, and visiting very close. We enjoyed their company for about 30 minutes. They both had significant scarring from boat strikes. The male had the most serious scarring, with slices to his tail, and bad scars on his left-front paddle. We are glad that they appear to be active and in relatively good shape. So memorable to spend time with them.
