I think it’s amazing this flash game has the accurate drummer movement animations, but tv shows and movies can’t get the movements right (other than whiplash)

Wow. On top of the fact that it allows you to write full songs, the midi sounds INSANELY good! Especially considering the fact that it came out in the early/mid 2000s.
It wasn't midi, it was actually all loop the creator recorded. There was a tool going around once upon a time that would take your output song file and actually combine the loops into an mp3 for you.

It's a shame EvilDog never made punk-o-matic pro. It was A LOT more ambitious than pom2 and I don't think it could be possible, even with a small team. EvilDog is really good at making games(he also made both road of the dead's and lab of the dead), but meeting and outdoing pom2, that's a tall order

PoM2 is a fucking classic. I still hop on it from time to time. Btw, there is an MP3 converter for the songs. You can even get every instrument as a separate track. Cool for editing if you want more control on the final sound

Waking the Fallen is my fav album of all time, Second Heartbeat is still my fav song to play and I've been playing for 23 years since I was 10. I love the lead and the solo in Second Heartbeat, also the last track "And all things will end" has such a sick main riff and lead.
What a trip down memory lane. I still remember a ton of these riffs from the game. This is the content I didnt know I needed. 😂

I remember coding in Actionscript, even in their later versions all you could do with Audio was play or stop sounds, even stuff like pausing you had to do from scratch. Mad respect to the dev(s)

When I was young right before I got my first electric guitar, I legit thought only pussies used guitar straps. I still regularly play Punk-O-Matic 2! To this day I come up with cool, different sounding riffs and tunes. I've created dozens of bands and played through the story mode countless times. Always hoped for the Punk-O-Matic Pro sequel that never came to be...
