  • I did much the same when I grew orchids in Florida, USA except I used sulphur to coat the cut ends with much the same results. When my babies had roots such as yours, I would mount them to emulate their growing in the wild. I hope they, and yourself, keep growing and prosper.

  • Just found your video and thank you for sharing!! I'm doing this right now as we speak in hopes of having the same results because I absolutely LOVE Orchids!!❤🥰 Btw here's a tip... You could burn a small candle in a jar and dip the ends of the stems in the melted wax, this was easier for me because I tend to be clumsy and hate getting burned lol!!🥰

I've used cinnamon water in a similar way, but I will use ginger for orchids as you suggest, this will be my first time propagating orchids. You have a gift, thank you so very much for sharing!     • Na górze pod filmem opisałam po szwedzku jak ja ukorzeniłam niechcący kawałek grubej łodygi orchidei, po prostu ucięty kawałek wsadzilam do doniczki z innym kwiatem i tyle. Ale to był taki gatunek, który miał dużo grubych łodyg, a większość orchidei ma liście u podstawy, przy ziemi i pęd kwiatowy jest cienki, wątpie czy się ukorzeni.

  • I have never tried with the candle, but it also works with rubbing onion or aloe vera on it. Just like with the ginger, I think it's mostly to prevent bacteriae or infections or mold getting in the stumps.

  • Hi, thanks so much for the update after the baby orchid growing root and leaves ! Now I know how to transfer them next 😊 but my have roots 1/4 inch and no leaves yet , only a tiny greenish.
