Peugeot,French brand, unveiled its new 4 0 8 model, betting the "fastback" sedan. SUVs have been hugely popular in recent years in Europe, reaching a record 46% share of new sales in France.
the new 4 0 8 is much lower and longer than Peugeot's 3 0 8 SUV, with a flowing and aerodynamic line giving it a distinctive silhouette that sets it apart from mainstream models.
Peugeot 4 0 8 have some popular SUV characteristics such as a high ground clearance, big wheels and black plastic covering caps on the fenders, the sides and the rear shield.
The 4 0 8 will launch with three powertrains: two hybrids, producing a total of 180 and 225 horsepower, as well as one internal combustion-only version with 130 horsepower. A battery-electric version will eventually follow.
The 4 0 8 will be launched early next year in Europe and in China by mid-2023.
