  • There was some great speeches and stories that were told Saturday Night. But Kurt Warner's story was the most moving story because of what everything He and Brenda went through (Brenda was divorced while pregnant with her second child, her first child went blind and deaf after being dropped by her first husband, then lost her parents a year later in a tornado) went through. Kurt needed a woman like Brenda to help him get through all of it. He was undrafted, worked in a supermarket and only got his job with the Rams as a favor. Yet he is the most deserving Hall of Famer EVER!!!

Sure sounds like this gentleman thinks not only does the whole world & universe revolve around him, it appears that he even thinks the son of god revolves around him too. Someone shoulda asked him after this speech if he thinks even god himself revolves around him. He sounds very elitist, snobby & self rightious. And by the way, his name isn't jesus. His name is Jehovah. Jesus is the name of the guy who cuts the grass & a rakes ur leaves. Only those who believe in Jehovah will be saved. All u who call him by the name of a greasy mexican will perish. Ur religion is wrong! Mine is right! Repent now! Jehovah is not a greasy mexican u foul children of the devil! This speech by this man is typical of Christians. Very snobby & self rightious speech it was.

He also played 2 full seasons of Arena football.. and made it to the championship game both of those years. His 1 full year in NFL Europe, his team tied for best record in the league. • Speaking as a longtime Cardinal fan, I say thank you Kurt. Before you became a Cardinal, my life as a fan was met with much snickering, mocking, and sometimes outright laughter. But then you put on the Cardinal red and the laughter stopped. Now, instead of looking forward to another 4-12 or 6-10 season, I can look forward to being competitive. Once upon a time the Cards winning double digit games was but a pipe dream(only being done 3 times in my lifetime before Kurt came along) or even a winning season seemed to never be in the cards(pun intended). But #13 came along and started a trend where my beloved Cards are not only competitive and winning double digit games, but who are in the conversation of which teams can win the Super Bowl. Now we haven't gotten there yet but the notion of a Cardinals championship is no longer something that can only play out in my mind. Thank you Kurt for being the nudge we needed. Thank you for helping my Cards no longer be a laughing stock but a contender. May God bless you in all you do. Thank you from the bottom of this 40+ year Cardinal fan's heart.

I remember one of them saying that he was done with the cardinals cause they signed a loser at QB. That Warner was garbage and would never be anything else. He said cardinals will always be losers because of signings like this one. The fan said he would not be watching anymore cards games til they got rid of Warner. . Funny, that was most of the radio callers sentiment.

  • What amazes me is that this guy had 4 healthy seasons as the bonafide full-time starter in his career (1999, 2001, 2008, 2009). 2 MVPs, 2 First Team All-Pros, 3 Super Bowl appearances, 3 potential game-winning drives in the SB, and 1 victory (his defense blew two of them and almost blew his only victory). To put that in perspective, Tom Brady has 18 full seasons as the starter (cutting out rookie year, the ACL injury, and the 4-game suspension season)... He has 3 First Team All-Pro selections, just 1 more than Kurt Warner. It is pretty incredible when you think about it that way.

  • I have followed his career since his days in the Areana League. I got to see him play a few plays in 1998 against S.F. I told my friend when he went in during the 4th quarter to watch this guy, he can really throw the ball. I remember him dropping back in the pocket and delivering a ball 30 yards down field and hitting the receiver between the numbers. He, of coarse...dropped the ball. He was probably not used to getting the ball delivered like that. I knew then, we had somebody. That next year after Trent went down, we would be ok. I hated seeing Trent hurt and really felt bad for him, but the rest is history. Of all the Rams I followed since 1960, Kurt is my favorite player. I am so happy for him.

    • @@AmirKhan-yv8jm Not entirely sure what your question is. But A-Rod spoiled his legacy with steroid use. Just the era he was in and it's stuck with him. One day I think a veteran committee will let many of these guys in. (Clemens, Bonds, Palmero, A-Rod etc) Mahomes, is awesome. He's just starting out but if he stays on pace I do think he's a HOF'r.

    • @@AmirKhan-yv8jm No wonder I was confused. lol. Yes....A-ROD the green bay packer (for now) is a sure shot for the HOF. It's awesome how Green Bay got struck by lightning twice with Favre and Rodgers. I live in the KC area, and Mahomes is the QB I have always longed for with the Chiefs. We've had so many come and go, but never really a franchise guy from the get go. We did have Montana the last two years of his career as an honorable mention.
