A little long, but only 4 days after transplant Jennifer was up and slowly walking!

  • The real heros are the families that donate their loved ones ogans! My father had a liver transplant several years ago, it was the greatest thing that ever happened.

And she's a very strong cheerful person. I hope you guys have a lot of financial assistance for the medical bills as I know your country doesn't have the same advantages as we do here for healthcare.   • she will be ok at least she is trying she looks much better hope her healing comes quick before you no it she will be just fine she is amazing trying never given up I can see that it's rough my family been through a lot so we no how it is my twin sister died three years ago but to a heart transplant that didn't work she passed two days latter we will always remember her

  • Oh thank god!!! That is freaking amazing and her story will be seen forever... I cant begin to imagine the strength either of you have as being a father myself... Just wow... I showed my wife the prwvious video and she didnt care to much until i explained it and told her just watch her face....you never know how much time you have or will face.you two have fought and slayed your dragon.

    • She's doing great! We're now 19 months post transplant and yesterday she walked up and down a hilly golf course to cheer on her daughter at her golf meet, something she had to rent a driving cart to do for the last couple of years.

  • Why does she need to learn to walk after a lung transplant? Is it dizziness or weakness?

    • Weakness from not being able to breathe enough. Dhe also had four tubes sticking out of her chest to drain any fluid. Before the transplant her lung function was only 10.8% so she couldn't walk 10 feet without stopping to catch her breath.

  • I've read that chances of surviving lung transplant for 5 years is 50%. This is too low. I was expecting people to live a good 20 years afterward.

    • There are a lot of factors that impact this, but those are the rough numbers. Jennifer is going strong past 5 years so far!
