  • The last time my Sims' water was shut off was just before their wedding, when one of them had low hygiene. :)))))) So needless to say, my first experience going (partially) off the grid wasn't positive. One silver lining is that the normal toilets still worked, or else there'd have been a huge problem. Hint - Waterfall in a Bottle works in a pinch, so keep a few bottles around for unexpected water shut-offs.

    • Hurting your back is legit more of an issue! :P Besides, I've had one Sim who only had a fireplace during a very snowy winter in Windenburg and I still never had a fireplace catch things on fire in my Sims 4 saves. I'm sincerely not sure what qualities are needed to get that result. Do they need to be on top of it? Does the game have ignition qualifiers?
