  • When we debate the greatest city claim, Tokyo is always unfairly forgotten by Westerners (and it's a much more pleasant place to be poor than London, NYC, or Paris). But it's remarkable as of the last 5 years London now likely boasts better Skyscrapers than Tokyo does.

  • As a European i am ashamed that our skyscrapers are so small compared to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Dubai, South Korea. Wish the modern area of London or Paris looked like Pudong.

    • Nothing to be ashamed. The main reason why sky scrappers are not permitted in European cities is that most of these cities are very ancient, have tons of historical monuments with stunning views. With so many sky-scrappers, that beautiful view is cluttered. You can't view, for example St Pauls Cathedral, for more than 5 meters if you build too many sky scrappers around it.
