Orbitwheel Instructional Video by Inventist
This is THE video of instructions on how to master the Orbitwheels, an original invention by Invenitst.*. These instructions will help you develop the wave-like technique involved in learning how propel yourself forward along your chosen path.
1 Position the Orbitwheels on the ground in front of your feet. Step onto the platforms with your toes touching the ground. Push off with your back foot and glide in a straight line. For beginners, it may be easier to push off a wall or other stable object with your hands. Get used to balancing and gliding in a straight line before going on to step 2.
2 To propel yourself, start by turning your toes inward. Then push your leading foot in front of you while at the same time pushing your back foot behind you.
3 Next, turn your toes outward. Push your leading food back and your trailing foot forward. Try to make long, fluid movements instead of short, quick ones. Your feet will make an “S” or wave-like motion. You may want to draw four or five long "S" curves on the ground to follow.
4 Continue alternating steps 2 and 3: toes in, toes out, toes in, toes out, etc. Swinging your arms and twisting your body might help you coordinate the motion. If you feel like you are losing your balance, just step off the platforms onto the ground.
The Orbitwheels are challenging! But don't give up! Did you instantly learn how to use a skateboard? Once you learn to control the Orbitwheels, you will have a crazy new skill you can show off to your friends.
Enjoy the journey - enjoy your new Orbitwheels!
*Please note, the Orbitwheels shown here are an earlier version, and attaching the foot platforms has evolved: 1. Snap out the platforms from the middle of the wheel. 2. Fit the bottom of the platform on the base inside of the wheel. Push down until it clicks into place.
Storing the Orbitwheels: 1. Press both buttons under the platform and pull it off the base. 2. Line up the groves on both ends of the platform with the notches inside the wheel. 3. Push down to secure.

I really just wanted socks for Christmas
These skates are unusually difficult ... *.*
Just get a skateboard
I love how everyone is shitting on the video and complaining they got these for christmas
Coming from an electric unicycle rider (another one of this company's inventions). The whole point of these to my mind are learning a completely alien motion that feels extremely relaxing, not speed or stunts or anything like that. Like asking why ride a skateboard when a bike is much easier and faster: skateboard feels more alien/floaty/dreamy. I can glide on these but not push...yet, but it still feels extremely cool. The electric unicycle felt terrible and hard then suddenly just clicked and was just a magic feeling, so much cooler than roller skating or even somewhat than skateboarding, even at low speeds. I can only assume these are fairly similar. I'm interested to learn if there are any who actually managed to learn to ride these and still don't like them. I'm just frustrated so far with myself, not the skates, jealous I can't yet use them fully. The intuitive part seems to be don't let them get/stay in a line, always push them into staggered positions for balance. Then again, rollerblades also require this, it's just your body naturally does that facing forward, but not when facing sideways, so it's a mind battle to train your body to do the latter.
this video looks like it was filmed on a 2007 flip phone
The razor flip phone was the bsst
True lmao
Anyone here buy this thinking it was electric

Not for $129, but would be an interesting set to electrify.... I may give it a try if I see more vids indicating its possible to remain upright for long enough to have fun, as opposed to writhing in agony on the ground.
I remember getting these when I was like 12 and they were impossible to use. Imagine trying to learn to ripstick but you can’t get momentum first and the ripstick is also cut in half...
I know how to ride the rip stick and the orbit wheels the rip stick was more easy to learn but the orbit whelles where harder to learn
The rip stick is easy
Extremely intuitive?? BWHAHAHAHA! That was funny😂
LMFAOAOAO I FEEL THIS
Shitty Christmas present? Same.
Boy i bet Crip Walkers are master's of these!!!!😂
How fast can you go in these?
Its like wakeboarding, i tried both of these.
Instructions unclear I am paralyzed from my feet
They’re basically sideways rollerblades.
Bro I had that same pair of Air Speeds! I miss those shoes lol
Anyone snakeboard? How was the learning curve for you? I snake and to me it seems more similar to snakeboard motion than a ripstick.
I got a dragan board which was inspired by the snake board, and it was super difficult to use. I can ride a skateboard and roller skates pretty well, yet this was a very steep learning curve. If you just want to get around, I don't recommend at all. Though if you feel like you have enough time and energy to learn a new language, go for it.
I’ve had these for six years, occasionally giving it a go every year or so, hoping it might just click this time, it never did
I almost died just now
@@ibr7515 😂😂😂 look up free skate tutorials! They will be waaaay more informative and these are basically knockoffs of free skates
It’s a copy Of the snakeboard we had as a kid . Was so hard and never took off
How do you stop?
Ride or die, it seems
fall
Use your backtoe
Legend says he never stopped
spin
Idiot in-laws bought these for my sons. Like the stupid snow shoes from last year or the goddam slingshots from the year before they will never leave their packaging.
Why does this look like a vhs?
I've been thinking about getting a boardless Skateboard for about a few weeks but have been scared about getting it because I have terrible balance 😅😅
Also, this product itself looks terrible. Freeskates just look better all around. This product looks like it was developed by a person that doesn't actually skate for fun. This was more of an engineering project, than an actual search for utility.
I dont get the propelling
SAME
Ur moving like the ripstiks wheels unfortunately i guess
But the question is can it be faster than ripstik on flat?
@@paladinsupreme8377 hmmm well it’s better when you are on flat ground instead of being on a death trap of a concrete at my home 😂
El Toro here I come baby
I don't see an l or an r on the bottom of my skates
How do you break?
fall
spin
Full splits
Thats the catch- you dont
Whatever these things are just look like a harder, less efficient, weirder pair of freeskates. I say that as a freeskater myself.
I know how to use ripstick
These are literally the most pointless skates ever. My grandma got me these and I honestly rather she bought me outdoor wheels instead. These have no flexibility, no practical use, very restricted mobility, and just don't make any sense. If you're thinking about buying these, don't, just get some rollarskates instead. A lightly used pair of good skates costs the same as these, but actually preform as they should and don't have very flawed mobility issues
the only reason to get these is fun when mastered and portability
Where can I purchase?
DONT
The roller skate that worked just fine didn't need to be reinvented into this very hard to use idea haha. Fair play to come up with the idea but I hope you never remortgaged your house for it.
Crabwheel, because you only can move sideway.
True, but good training for these is doing crab/sidesurf on rollerblades. For real.
Wow these are a pain to use lmal
I got this Christmas preasant for like 80$ what a rip off
You can’t spell present though?
@@laurdessvalentino5849 mm okay Im sorry that i cant spell and you decided to correct me on it, smartass
@@laurdessvalentino5849 lol
@@laurdessvalentino5849 bro ain’t no way I was that salty towards you correcting my dumbass
I think your spelling of the word present came from the same place as your Christmas “preasant”
Rollerblades lol
These are just bootleg free skates
Different motion, harder because you don't have a second wheel per skate, more interesting IMO because you can lean more aggressively and the larger wheel can handle larger bumps. Similar but by no means the same.
super awesome but seems impractical
This looks horrible and I can see all sorts of accidents! Wouldn't roller blades be better?
This seem unsafe and unnecessary
How could it possibly be unsafe
Yeah, there's no way not to look like a loser with these things.. just like a ripstik. Wish someone had told me how lame I was for buying a ripstik back in like 2005. Would have much rather spent that money on a nice new board..
Couldn't master the ripstik huh
nah fam. 👎🏼👎🏿
