Let me know how this works out for you. It's still really comfortable for me for extended daily use. I also recently noticed I can still slip on the light seal without the cushion for full immersion or if I need to wear it outside.
Great video. Love using with no light shield. But i need a decent head band accessory like you’ve prototyped. Currently I use with a foam wedge to support device sitting on bridge of my nose. Works well
Please show more videos using it in your daily life. Someone should be a good third party band to provide this experience and make it look good
Instead of the velcro straps, someone should just modify the solotop adapter for the top solo band to be included as well like you did.
I kinda feel this will put too much stress on those two connection points (not sure what they are called) that encase the speakers and connect to the visor. The device wasnt designed for it to hold the weight of the visor like that. Over time, I think they could break/separate or if you are walking around, bouncing them could cause them to break/separate. Damaging either the connector or worse, the headset falls off and breaks. I am using the dual loop connector tho as of yesterday and so far it's great, but with the visor still.
This is a fair point. I'm assuming there is enough tolerance in the mechanical design to support well above the weight of the headset especially since you are removing any force that would otherwise have come from tighteing the headset directly to the face. But that's an assumption and as with any physical modification to use a device out-of-spec it will always run with some risk. It's for that reason I'm generally wary of mods that make contact and apply pressure to the headset itself.
Someone should just 3D print a helmet support the AVP that essentially does exactly this

You really just need the Solotop adapter and maybe the additional top strap, either a solo knit or generic velcro. For anyone that has Solotop, they probably have all the pieces to try this out. Also less bulky and packs into a small travel case.

Nope. A hard hat is not an improved solution as his way uses only soft straps, which are much better. And we know there is an issue, which is the reason for this in the first place.
Hard hat is not a good idea because the Apple Vision Pro vents are on the upper side of the front screen and wearing a hat will create air fryer system between the device and the hut visor and fry your forehead.
