      @zydration3538@zydration35385 ай бұрын
  • I will forever be perplexed as to why individuals like Bush were nominated if 1. The film they're being nominated for are archived footage from documentaries (who in the case of these major political figures, especially if they were/are in office, would be unavailable) and 2. Unless you're Reagan a majority of these figures lack acting experiences. Even Trump's roles were mostly cameos prior to running for office. I get nominating them if they were in a film of any other genre, but I'll admit its a bit unfair to nominate those as "bad" film actors if the said film they're being nominated for is not shot like a film would normally do.

  • Most of these make sense, but some are just ridiculous, any documentary or concert role should be not considered acting anyway, so why give an award for bad acting? And the hatred for Sandler, Stallone and Costner makes no sense, I think each of them deserved one or even two that they got, but overall it was the scripts fault for many of their failures. And I'm glad that the Razzies has decided on a formal concept of not giving it to young actors, that Jaden Smith one was bs. At the same time, there were some truly horrific performances, I mostly prefer the name actors who phoned in the role, I think that is really what the Razzies should be about, nailing the people who we know can act, but just didn't give a rats ass and were collecting a paycheck... or vanity projects by well known stars in other field (Neil Diamond, Prince etc) who just didn't have the talent but thought they did. I don't mind the Stallone bashing for the Rambo sequels, as those movies were bad and goes entirely counter to the original. (But you can't tell me that Rocky IV was bad in any way)

  • Honestly most of the wins here are very valid, but i feel there were some hardcore snubs from time to time that deserved it way more than the actual winners, either be by questionable career moves, how many movies they were in (which might count them as being in an movie where they are okay, like Bruce Willis in The Siege which i don't think he was that bad), or just by how unpopular they were during that time (Ben Affleck 2003), here's some of the leading roles that i personally find deserved more in some years 1991: Vanilla Ice in Cool as Ice 1998: Carrot Top in Chairman of the Board (surprinsingly not even nominated) 1999: Matthew Broderick in Inspector Gadget (also not nominated) 2003: Tommy Wiseau in The Room (i know The Room wasn't even popular then but... let's be honest with ourselves) 2004: Ben Affleck in Surviving Christmas (i know i said he didn't deserved that hard in 2003, but he was insufferable in this film) 2009: Justin Chatwin in Dragonball Evolution (another movie that i don't understand how it was snubbed) 2016: Rob Schneider in Norm of the North (tricky nomination since it's voice role only, but still very bad) 2017: Michael Fassbender in The Snowman 2018: John Travolta in Gotti 2020: Hero Fiennes-Tiffin in After: We Collided (at the time i'm writing this none of the After movies were ever nominated and that is sad because i feel they were the easiest target they could get afterwards) 2022: Machine Gun Kelly in Good Mourning Every other winner is justified

Denzel had his Virtuosity, Halle had Catwoman, Jamie Foxx has had a bevy of stinkers before and after Ray, and don't get me started on Will "Slaphappy" Smith's numerous cheese wheels. Wild Wild West, anyone? Viola Davis has Fences and Suicide Squad (the David Ayer version) to her name. I could go on.

As for George W. Bush, he may not have been an actor in his life like that pathetic late former U.S. president, Ronald Reagan, but he deserved an award for being another WORST U.S. president in his lifetime, too!

I guess he was probably old and past his prime, but can you imagine how disrespected you would feel 😂 I doubt he ever even saw it, but if he did like what an insult lmao especially for an old fashioned esteemed actor like him. There’s nothing wrong with a cash grab as long as you don’t go in thinking that it’s supposed to be high art. Some of these were definitely trying to be really good and failed though. You have to assume something with Paul shore would suck. Travolta really thought he was doing good work though and that’s just sad.
