@@lilly3486 oooooh, imagine! L.M.A.O.!!!!
U mean the World Trade Center?
I hope we can find more of this European Spinosaur and Egyptian Abelisaurid.
There is a Kenyan Abelisaurid called Titanovenator Kenyaniensis the size is estimated to be at around 10 meters long the largest Abelisaur ever
@AyaanA7 "Titanovenator" is undescribed and its potential size is unverified.
@@Jpteryx the size is based on the head fossil
@@IRONPRIMEA7 Do you have any detailed descriptions of the measurements?
@@Jpteryx based on the fragmentary Cranial and post Cranial remains the size is estimated to be at around 10-11 meters if more fossils are found it could be the largest Abelisaur ever
Oh, I wasso pleased when you said 'largest theropod dinosaur to be found in Europe'. The BBC's report drove me up the wall, claiming it to be ' the largest land dinosaur' to be found in Europe. I was under the impression that, by definition, almost all dinosaurs were land based animals, with the exception of Spinosaurus, which must have been at least semi aquatic. Added to that, is that surely Cetiosaurus, a sauropod found in England, must be somewhat bigger than this new beastie, there fore refuting the BBC's inaccurate claims!
Yeah, the modern BBC is not known for its accuracy these days unfortunately.
inaccuracy? in my bbc?? it's more likely than you think!
Turiasaurus is probably the largest known European dinosaur.
Oh yeah, the BBC Barely Bloody Credible 😂
@@roberte.o.speedwagon6043 it’s a shame to see how far BBC and Discovery have fallen. Pretty wild we live in a world we’re randos making videos on some website do more research and verification than large “credible” networks
Spinosaurus seems to never get a break when it comes to new forms. Thing has changed so much in such a short time
This nothing to do with spinosourus, only a type of spinosourid.
Spinosaurus: "This is not even my final form."
I’m happy that Dr. Ibrahim keeps on keeping on as the Spinosaurus hype-man. Some of his conclusions re. the species are a little questionable, however…
I'm so glad they haven't named that spinosaurid, it's fossils are far too badly preserved to erect a taxon.
Yes, the practice of naming a new species on scant fossil evidence needs to end. We even make major mistakes with more complete specimens of different Ontological age ranges minting new species that are in fact hatchlings, juveniles, sub-adults, & adults respectively. To err is human I guess.
"Erect" haha

Love how paleontologists find one odd shaped bone and go, yes a piece of spinosauroid neural spine.
Its a cult bro. Gotta name them all. Always have been since Cope vs Drinker days
@@ANJROTmania Cope and Drinker are the last and middle names of the same person, Edward Drinker Cope. If you cannot even name the people involved correctly, I wouldn’t be making up stupid conspiracy theories
@@ANJROTmania Naming things = cult? That makes no sense.
@@manospondylus4896 A conspiracy theory, is a wild idea made up from an actual "thing", I would hardly call anything related to "dinosaurs" as conspiracy theory. Dinosaurs are a theory, but nothing conspiratorial about them. Dinosaurs are as real as Dracula, the wolfman, and ghosts. LMAO!

I’m lovin’ all these new spinosaur discoveries
Me too, but for a whole different reason. I love it for the comedic value.
Frankly, I think the mastodon info was more illuminating that the spinosaur info!
Agreed, I always love discovering more about how prehistoric animals lived their lives!
Because it was a story, a story of his life and we love stories, don't we?
I wonder, if this Spinosaur might be a Spinosaurus itself. Afrika is relatively close by and Spinosaurus is the most adapted to do a journey like this and come to a new continent to live
Definitely not. This spinosaurid is from considerably younger rocks. I also doubt Spinosaurus would go live in saltwater, as it was a freshwater dwelling creature.
@@jacobhise8044 it could be possible I mean look at crocodiles. Saltwater crocodiles are a thing
@@jacobhise8044 It could be the ancestor of Spinosaurus. Or, a close cousin diverging from the same ancestor as the Spinosaurus.
@@Thatbigmonkey It appearantly is in younger rock. So it might be more as a decendent rather than an ancestor

Awesome news as always!

This week's news was so big that Doug exploded.
Can't belive i'm living in the age for when a big carnivour or piscivours is discoverd and maybe will get a name!
Excellent Ben.
In my ignorance, I thought they were all giant.
Every fucking year 💀
As a Spinosaur fanboy it pleases me to hear this.
I love this. :) I wish people would report on prehistoric animals that lived in other countries, not just those that everybody knows of. But that doesn't matter much, i really just wonder what kinds of dinosaurs (and/or pterosaurs) lived in smaller countries, like Norway, Finland, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Estonia, Etc. (By 'smaller' I mean lesser known) Although i do know that most of the countries of Balkans used to be parts of the Tethys ocean way back then.
prehistoric life forms still remain very mysterious to us
Let's call this new dino GIGANTORANIYONIX
I think that it should be called Megalospinus As a reference to Megalosaurus and it being one of the largest spinosaurs
@@GandalfTheTsaagan *titanospinus*
I just love dinosaurs so much :)
So a few things to keep in mind about the "spinosaur" This could also be a relative of baryonyx, one we had not encountered. As well suchomimus has a very similar body shape as a spinosaur. And without the very difining vertebrae spines to truly signify it as a true spinosaurus egypticus, it is no doubt from that line of evolution as they have some unique features not found in other dinos
you know that baryonyx, suchomimus ans spinosaurus are all in the same family of dinosaurs, known as spinosaurs.
@@anarkistogre yes I was aware they were closely related enought that the original depictions of Spinosaurus egypticus were just it's sail on a baryonyx. However I noticed a lot of people leaping to the assumption that this is the same creature as egypticus. So yes it's a "spinosaur" but possibly not the one most people picture. I was not actually aware they were all classed as spinosaurus, so thank you for letting me know that. I myself get quite mixed up with those sort of things, don't suppose we know about how they evolved? Like baryonyx into suchomimus and such?
@@johnfairweather7012 spinosaurs not spinosaurus. it's like a bald eagle is a type of eagle but not the same as a golden eagle or steller's sea eagle.
@@johnfairweather7012 Baryonyx did not evolve into Suchomimus, they are distinctly separate animals. Though they did evolve from a common ancestor.
@@jeucie okay thank you for letting me know that

Isnt it *Ironic* that Isle of Wight is a gift that keeps on giving White Rock Spinosaurid represent the largest known theropod throughout the Europe! Alas there is also another Speen paper

Actually, Baryonyx is a Spinosaurid and was found in England. So it isn’t the only Spinosaurid to be found on Britain.
True this, was kinda confused when he said this could be the first lol
Holy crap that’s insane
Yoo Giga Spino!!
Nice
I wonder what the % of animals actually become fossils, surely its low?, there could be a animal/dinosaur that just by chance never fossilised and we would never know, I know time travel is impossible but I wish I could if seen the past life of earth for real.
The % is extremely low. The vast, vast majority of organisms in the histoey of the planet never fossilized.
Literally one in a million, maybe one in ten million, significant fossilization is extremely unlikely & thus very rare. For instance we think there might been about 2.5 billion Tyrannosaurus Rexs that ever lived & we only have significant remains of 50 -100 specimens. Yeah one in ten million is my best amateur guess.
And on top of that the chance of fossils becomes even lower with animals that had brittle or no bones (this is why pterosaur fossils are such a big deal).
On top of all of that the region animals live in also impacts if they fossilize. We will likely never see any remains of boneless sea creatures or creatures from jungles, because remains in jungles decompose so quickly.
Les than one percent I'm sure
How many tranq arrows will that spino take, I found a mastercraft saddle in a drop
so smart
Yay!
The advertisement about this Christian guy that asked me if I think Dinosaurs were really a thing and to convert to his way or else suffer the consequences of hell. Guess I’m going to Paleo hell. And I love it. XD

Spinosaurus lived in west Europe too.

SPINOS RULEEE
im glad my Indiana is known for something lol
Good.
Those mastodons were built like main battle tanks. Robust bones, large forward facing tusks, surely it had a thick hide too. Makes you wonder what drove them to be so large.
Large predators
larger animals tend to originate in colder environments I would look at aquatic Antarctic and deep sea species
Cold environment, larger digestive tract to digest plant material, and a plethora of predators meant that it had to get huge and powerful. The same process happened with the Megatheriids, with Eremotherium laurillardi probably being the largest bipedal animal to ever live after the K-T mass extinction
Cool
Imagining pre historic Britain not being able to turn around without bumping into a Spinosaur!
You wouldn’t have any cars to begin with
