Is scoring top in class more important than having compassion? In a harsh environment called school, the top 3 students in the class are tasked to help their classmate NINA improve her exam score. As they get to know NINA better, they find out that she is ill and the upcoming test could be her final exam in school.

Like how Bella talks, like how Ming knows what question to do or not, like how Rafiq enlightened the mood by playing with them, like how Nina is trying. This is a beautiful story. The fact that the top students aren't jealousy type here, they are so good. Also student shouldn't be forced to be top in the class, as long as they are doing good it's okay, but what can we say this how is our society. (Ming is cute)

  • If I was a child of such demanding parents I would honestly be confused if they ever were satisfied or loved me for anything else then my results. One second they say "As long as you do your best, we are proud of you" and the next "How could you get that one wrong, it was such an easy question". I happen to be a child of not so demanding parents, they are not completely careless as they remind me every now and then to do my best. The fact that I could realize myself what school means to me and how important it is I enjoy it in a totally different way in what the Asian kids does. If it comes more natural and not so enforced, I think it'll be a much better and healthier experience.

  • Such an inspirational story...Its true when they say children have pure heart because they have a heart which can sacrifice anything easily for anyone but when we grow up we just lose that heart and such a little part of us can make sacrifices …. We must learn from children what we lose when we grow up to make ourselves a Better Being :)

  • What an absolutely beautiful story. The schools in Asia have much higher standards than those in America. But that's not the point. The point is that these children chose compassion for their classmate over high scores for themselves.

  • 'Heartwarming' resolution aside, I'm slightly more perturbed by Ming's parents' reaction towards his stellar grades, especially his mum. Her point about getting good grades to please the parents reminds me of the toxic concept of 'saving/having face' in Chinese culture, which is a main factor for many students struggling to do well so that they can avoid embarrassment and punishment. Doing well should be for your sake, not for your parents especially where it might spiral into some sort of emotional blackmail in the future. Comparison is the thief of joy. I'm also quite perturbed by the overly materialistic rewards, such as the iPhoneX mentioned in the video for such young kids. This is why some students develop into status-seeking, self-absorbed young adults who may care too much about their appearance. It's sad that some parents in today's society have to resort to such means to encourage children negatively.
