Staying on the Deen as a born Muslim is the biggest challenge these days. You are also heroes don’t underestimate your pursuit of Islam. You are doing amazing and you can’t downgrade your Imaam and compare yourself to a new Muslim whom I have total respect and love as new brother or sister. However, we need to make duaa that Allah swt keep them and us I. The right path. Lots of them go back to their life except those whom Allah has guided.

This is my first time of seeing this wonderful Imam, and I found it hard to believe that he has not been a Muslim from birth, if not for his accent. May Allah increase us with people like these, who for certain learnt about Islam (not on a platter like us who were born in it), but are inspireed by Islamic valuse in such a society that shields everything good abiut Islam, and here they are embracing the religion earlestly!

This is not but legends of the former people in quran s46;17 But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people" - dog in the cave In the Christian and Islamic traditions, the Seven Sleepers, otherwise known as the Sleepers of Ephesus and Companions of the Cave, is a medieval legend about a group of youths who hid inside a cave outside the city of Ephesus around AD 250 to escape one of the Roman persecutions of Christians and emerged some 300 years later. Another version of the story appears in the Quran (18:9-26) s18;22 They will say there were three, the fourth of them being their dog; and they will say there were five, the sixth of them being their dog - guessing at the unseen; and they will say there were seven, and the eighth of them was their dog. Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord is most knowing of their number. None knows them except a few. So do not argue about them except with an obvious argument and do not inquire about them among [the speculators] from anyone." 23 And never say of anything, "Indeed, I will do that tomorrow," 24 Except [when adding], "If Allah wills." And remember your Lord when you forget [it] and say, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct." 25 And they remained in their cave for three hundred years and exceeded by nine. 26 Say, "Allah is most knowing of how long they remained. He has [knowledge of] the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. How Seeing is He and how Hearing! They have not besides Him any protector, and He shares not His legislation with anyone." Story of 7 sleepers in cave The story says that during the persecutions by the Roman emperor Decius, around 250 AD, seven young men were accused of following Christianity. They were given some time to recant their faith, but they refused to bow to Roman idols. Instead they chose to give their worldly goods to the poor and retire to a mountain cave to pray, where they fell asleep. The Emperor, seeing that their attitude towards paganism had not improved, ordered the mouth of the cave to be sealed. Decius died in 251, and many years passed during which Christianity went from being persecuted to being the state religion of the Roman Empire. At some later time-usually given as during the reign of Theodosius II (408-450)-in 447 A.D. when heated discussions were taking place between various schools of Christianity about the resurrection of the body in the day of judgement and life after death, a landowner decided to open up the sealed mouth of the cave, thinking to use it as a cattle pen. He opened it and found the sleepers inside. They awoke, imagining that they had slept but one day, and sent one of their number to Ephesus to buy food, with instructions to be careful. Upon arriving in the city, this person was astounded to find buildings with crosses attached; the townspeople for their part were astounded to find a man trying to spend old coins from the reign of Decius. Jesus is mentioned twenty five times in the Quran and has an honored rank along with other great Messengers of God. His Immaculate Conception, miracles, teachings, and ascension as well as return are integral aspects of the Islamic faith. There is an entire chapter devoted to the story of his mother Mary. The Quran states, “Relate in the Book the story of Mary and how she withdrew from her family to a place in the east. God sent to her the Angel Gabriel who said, ‘I am a messenger from your Lord to announce the birth of a holy son to you.’ She said, ‘How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?’ Gabriel replied, ‘For your Lord says it will happen. @bananapiejuice Acts 4:12 KJV - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. There is a huge difference, my friend. Jesus is God in the flesh and belief in him is the inly way to salvation. I am the way the truth and the life no man comes unto the Father except through me. Jesus died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sin. He rose again on the third day, defeating sin and death. This is not in Islam and makes Jesus content in the Quran as irrelevant. We know he was born by the Holy Spirit by a virgin. However, he is the Son of God and God in the flesh. God bless you. I pray you see the whole truth of the Gospels.
@@27steve What you have related is pagan Roman myth. It has nothing to do with Jesus Christ the son of virgin Mary peace be upon them . That tragic story was inserted in the gosbel 300 yrs after Jesus was raised up to Allah. Jesu s never told that he was god or "sonofgod" . Neither did he ask ppl to worship him. All he taught was that he was a servant of God and he insisted that he was ( son of man , son of man, son of man. Yet corrupt priests play deaf and say he was "sonofgod" Allah Al-Mighty is exalted and glorified than this heresy. It is offending to Him to claim that He had a son, or ascribe a partner to Him. Read your bible and don't rely on greedy clergymen to preach and tell you what to believe about your Lord, all they care about is your donations . Church corrupted the message of Jesus.

Wow brother that was really touching 1988 Morgantown WV state champs, eastern division champs 1st runners up in the US youth basketball championship tournament in Orlando then Moved to McLean VA 1990 frequently visited Fairfax and Alexandria punk life as a youth then found my way back to Islam by 19 your story really hit home.
