In this video I show off an upcoming feature as part of the Chop shop DLC content update in grand theft auto Online which is going to allow players to finally take control of the elusive train.
It is speculated to be a part of a mission as part of the Chop shop car heists/missions but is an interesting development none the less!

First buyable police cars, and now drivable trains without mods.
Well it's either going to be for a mission on freemode since all missions and the heist can be done on freemode without any loadings orrr it's a cutscene . However it doesn't make sense there is a cutscene and our character is not driving the train . Maybe driving the train can be an escape option.
Using the train brakes to actually slowing the train down to drop vehicle without risk...

It would've been really cool if they implemented a moving train HQ where you're constantly moving around the map

@@amonhaq3103 you're right. A jet that can go stealth mode at will is reasonable. But a train is where we draw the line.
its like this dlc is giving us what we always wanted in online, animals, cop cars, flawless drifting, and now BEING ABLE TO DRIVE THE TRAIN, maybe this is the final one

This will certainly be a part of a police heist/mission with Vincent as a contact. From what it looks like now, it will be playable without any need of a property and it will have a few stages. Also, it should happen in the paleto bay factory.

@@loganeasley4343 No this is real, Vincent will be back as a cop and will ask you to take out a drug operation in the Clunken Bell factory in Paleto bay. The way of entering the factory requires a train, there is already videos of these cutscenes from the mission. There is a cutscene of the player interacting with Vincent and two ways of entering the factory, being loud and sneaky.
Weird that they put the functioning seat on the left. You generally sit on the right side of a locomotive in America (and most countries where the trains run on the right track), and they got that right in that one single player mission where you hijack the train, so not sure why they changed it.
You really think the people worked on the train design in 2012 are still working on train in 2023 lmao
@@redhunnid5142well no but locomotives evolve VERY slowly so it stands to reason it’d still be relatively identical

I think its going to be for the clucken bell farm raid since the train has that model in the cutscenes. Would be cool if rockstar changes the ingame train model and replaced it with the chop shop one.

This is something most people have been asking for a long while.
most certainely a hq vehicule, like the submarine or the avenger. if along with the usual defense (canon, missiles, etc. ) there's an autopilot which would make the train follow the tracks it would be awesome. good luck to tryhards. also, if there's a way to force an path on the train, it would be even better. stay the train underground and even the orbital canon would be ineffective. unless using a godmod glitch, most tryhards would be killed many times just to destroy the train once. then, simply teleport away and take a new train.

Since this update is R* telling us to play their game once a week, I doubt this will be in free roam and will be for one of the weekly heists. I also feel we won’t have much fun with the train like the one from San Andreas where you had complete control and could even derail it if taking a turn to fast.

I mean we've been able to press the enter vehicle button on the train and "go in it" for years, though this is a substantial upgrade
I remember there was a glitch years ago that allowed you to glitch yourself in the train and it would actually display correct name of the train

Two years left , I think you’re still gonna see updates …. After seeing taxi work appear in online , and now the cop cars , I think we’re still gonna get some kind of vigilante drip feed work and maybe trucking business ? Seeing as there were ingame commercials about that as well …. We might be lucky and get the classic paramedic ,firefighters and coastguard missions back ?
This could also be the return of the train freight missions from gta SA.

I think it would be really cool for a final dlc for them to just add a purchasable military train that would be like the mobile operation trailer and they can even add new tracks like on the board of the map As for upgrades it can pretty much have a little bit of everything yacht defenses Guided missiles The homing missiles that the terabyte has (and that other vehicle i can't remember the name of) a garage for a purchasable ufo a orb cannon And a place you can access all of the missions All of the upgrades can cost 30 million I feel like this would be the ultimate send off for gta5 online

Anyone else getting train business vibes? I know the chop shop heist is likely the reason behind the drivable train, but hear me out. A new business where we buy and customize a train to partake in train based missions. I know majority of players did not like the mercenary update for obvious reasons, but if Rockstar did something similar to project overthrow and LSA missions that caters to solo players and have decent payouts for time investment then maybe it would work.
but can we call one up through pegasus and customise it i want a pink or chrome train with flame decals

if driveable trains were in freemode, how would that work… most railways in the game are one way, like the Blaine - Plateo so traffic with trains would be worst than traffic in the average city espically if someone is counter driving that train. There could be a possible chance now that we know gta vi is coming out in a year and half, that trains can be drivable with the possibility of more railways ~ Just a theory lol

This would be a getaway for those pesky Griefers , anti-Griefers if it is made possible, it would be neat. I think they should just make it possible for story mode where people are least affected. I know they wouldn’t, though the campaign, story could have been greater than it is sadly they realized where the money was One thing I am surprised about is they never brought anything to GTA besides GTA plus throughout all the years that’s a milestone not many companies have surpassed we can only hope for GTA 6 to have much more to do, and interact with after “said campaign”

GTA V was supposed to be the breakout of all GTA's GTA IV got to use the police computer GTA San Andreas had Vigilante Missions and yet GTA V we can't activate the police computers still drive the train I hope they learn lessons for GTA six

I don't typically speak up on sponsorship deals, especially for creators somewhere in the middle in terms of size. KZhead is hard; you gotta dance with the devil sometimes to put food on the table. But I have no respect for account boosting servers. I don't care what legal/moral/ethical loopholes you try to argue, account boosting is cheating. Play the game yourself, earn the time you put in. And more to the point I'm incredibly disappointed you, of all people, took said sponsorship. And on a 2 minute video no less. As I said: full-time KZhead content creation is hard; it's why I've never even considered trying. But this ain't it chief. I'd rather see a bunch of annoying Raid Shadow Legends ads, as opposed to this. Hope the payday was worth it.

You could already ride the train in online. It’s just very tricky and specific stuff you gotta do in order to do it but it’s been possible last time I checked.
