  • Went to the game with my young daughter. She loves this team and it was the first time seeing them in person. She waited for half an hour after for the players to come around the stadium to wave and they never did. The Chinese players acknowledge their fans right after game. That was poor by team USA.

  • Smith is true number 9, much better than Morgan. Keep Morgan off roster is better for US.

    • Morgan is in a goal-scoring slump, and is probably at the end of her very illustrious international career.

    • @@PepsiRed456 I mean well. It’s better to be critical now in criticism towards saving heartache in the long run, than after a loss in a big game. Its not just about the score line being higher, which it should be. I care about the ways that they score. They’re not gonna get cheap goals against bigger teams. I only like the first goal. With the other 2, one was by fluke and the other was china being sloppy at the back. Id more respect them scoring the ones where they should’ve been more clinical in front of the goal with skill and accuracy, with brief challenging opportunities. But ending up choking instead. Because those are the types of opportunities that they would be getting against tough opponents. I don’t want to read down the line against a tougher opponent that they choked on opportunities and that their opponents capitalized on theirs. I like the work rate in speed, aggression and physicality. But thats more affective against amateurs and midgets. Football is not only about that style of play, those who think that way will have a very frustrating and difficult time against more challenging opponents who would have more of an affective strategy, be more skilled and clinical at finishing in front of the net. It’s not negative destructive criticism, it’s positive constructive criticism.

    • @@noyes4968 I'm not sure why you don't understand when it has been clearly explained. The moment you are referring to was about 25 minutes in and the player in question Sophia Smith (not 'woman' or 'girl' -- how hard is it to listen to the name) COULD HAVE had a hat trick because that missed sitter was the third of three clearcut chances on goal during the opening 25 minutes that she was unfortunately unable to convert. It's really not difficult.

  • Hate this ridiculous thing some players do now of rolling their shirt sleeves right up their arms. It looks awful and you don't see it in the men's game. It seems to be particularly popular in US teams. Trinity Rodman is a serial offender and it just looks a mess. It's supposed to be a team uniform. And don't get me started on her utterly obnoxious goal celebration in a friendly against a vastly inferior side right next to the opposing team's goalkeeper. Maybe find some consistent form first before you start jumping up and down like your tap in is worthy of a Puskas award. No sportsmanship there.

    @MartaComplex@MartaComplex5 ай бұрын
    • Here comes the celebration police again! Rodman's celebration was actually very short, and she didn't go running off and sliding into the corner like the men all seem to like to do. I thought it was fine.

      @davidsprenkle2641@davidsprenkle26415 ай бұрын
    • She shouldn't have celebrated right in the faces of her opponents. Most teams go to the corner flag or the side line to celebrate as a mark of respect. Don't remember previous USWNT doing this.

    • Its the fault of the woman for celebrating on a FRIENDLY, it isnt like a final of the Weird systen the MLS has, Continental tournament, international what ever.
