I vote for the one single print. I find that when I have a bunch of stuff (like you have with all the books to the right) that when you hang up multiple pictures it can give a vibe of being too cluttered. The one simple picture tones it down and simplifies an area.
Thanks, Kelby! That is great insight. 😊
I agree!
I agree!
I agree!
I agree!
I vote for the four printsThe large print is very similar to the shape and size of the cabinet. Somehow that feels too heavy. The four create the same basic large shape while being lighter in feel. However, looks like I'm in the minority. Well done! So glad I found you.
Hi Claire! I really appreciate your thoughtful comment. I love these prints so much! 🤣 The majority was definitely for the large watercolor, which surprised me. I really like the thinking behind your choice and I’ll bet you are very intentional in your decorating 😊 Thanks for your encouragement and welcome to the Peaceful Home! 😊
Agree
I love that you tuck away little treasures fo you grandkids to find. I'm a sap but I was tearing up. My grandma used to do the same thing.❤ now I do it for my kids! I also love that you are homesharing. I've never heard that term to describe multi-generational living. I think it's beautiful to have lots of loved ones around!
Thank you for such a sweet and thoughtful comment! 😊💛
Definitely the watercolor. Much more visible impact! Love it!
Thanks, Ann! I appreciate your comment. Thank you for watching!
My vote is for the one single picture!😊
Thanks, Jean! I appreciate that 😁
That picture over the new game cabinet is perfect!
Thank you! I am enjoying it there!!
The new thrifted art piece. Beautiful ❤️
Victoria, thanks so much for watching and for commenting!
The single print make a statement. It’s the right scale for the chest and the space.
Thanks, Elaine! I appreciate your vote! 😊
I love the new photo. It picks up the color of the books that are on your bookcase. Just beautiful!
Thanks, Annette! I agree!
I don’t buy books for their colour!
@@lyndakling901 that totally makes sense - the most important part is the content. I personally love books so much that I buy them for their insides and their outsides 😂
I have that set of Johnson Brothers China! My in laws gave it to my husband and me on our wedding day!!! Over the years I bought more pieces to make it a set of 12! We have 9 children so we used it for special occasions!! We were married in 1965! This set is almost 59 years old!! And I still love it!! ❤
Oh wow! That is amazing! I can’t believe you have nine children - you are a blessed woman! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting . 😊
I like the look of the 4 CURRIER AND IVES prints, however I think the large river print fits the room decor better.
I agree, Greka! 😊 Thank you so much for watching and for commenting!
I like the single large picture.
Thanks for watching, Lorraine! I really appreciate your opinion! 😊
I think the single painting would look amazing
Thanks, Peri! It is up right now (the majority vote by far!) I love it!! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting. 😊
I am one for the olden days (and I guess for seasonal decoration), and altho I appreciate the watercolor, I'd go for the Currier and Ives prints.
Yes! A fellow traditionalist! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting 😊
First time watcher today, but I have subscribed, and now I will binge watch your previous videos this weekend. The large new thrifted print is so pretty, and that gives you so many beautiful colors to play with.
Thanks, Jeannie! I appreciate you watching and commenting with your vote . Welcome to the Peaceful Home! 💛
I like the 4 Currier & Ives!
Hi Brenda! I appreciate your vote. I do love these prints!, Thanks for watching! 😊
Love the four prints together. Looks cozier to me. 🌻
Thanks, Vicki!! 😊
Thank you for the fun video! I too try to remember that as much as I love a new thrift find, if I'm not replacing something else with it, or if I don't have a specific home for the new item, I try to walk away. Sometimes I go back if I love it enough, however!
You sound very disciplined!! I admire that. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your wisdom!
Every time I walk away from something I want, it is gone when I go back
@@user-sc9lb4vp5u That has definitely happened to me, too! ☹️ I just have to trust that that item wasn’t meant to go home with me. Thanks for watching! 😊
I like the four over the cabinet but keep the other one for somewhere else. It’s really lovely.
Thank you for your vote, Janice! I appreciate it! 😊
Teresa, the blue & white dinnerware was my mother's choice for our family growing up in NC in the 60's. She purchased a 'featured piece' from the grocery store (Winn Dixie?) each week or month until she had the complete set. We ate off it for years! I believe it may have been called steamboat or river boat -- or maybe just a what a fanciful child comes up with while plowing thru her cornflakes & banana. Thanks for the memory!
Yes! That’s exactly how it was originally distributed. I just found that so fascinating. You are right - it is called steamboat and I’m so glad it was a pleasant memory. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting. 💛
My mom‘s choice was this pattern as well. I grew up in the 60s/70s and our family had these dishes until the early 2000s! My mom must’ve purchased ours at A&P or Shop Rite because there was not a Winn-Dixie store in South Jersey. I do recall that the name of the print of some of these pieces was The Old Grist Mill.
@@lynnek4226 Yes! The old grist mill! I have heard that, too. I love the different scenes on each piece. Ireally excited about doing more research on it!! Thanks so much for watching, Lynn! 😊
Takes me back. Mom purchased hers from King Soopers grocery store in Colorado during the 70s. I remember the display in the store. Each week or month (?) they would add new pieces. They were made well. And made to last. Used a long time and none ever chipped.
@@teresa3070 Wow! That is quite an endorsement! They are such beautiful dishes. I’m glad it brought back good memories. Thank you for sharing! 😊
I vote for the single large water color over the cabinet of games for sure! That way what is on top of the cabinet showcases much better in my opinion. You remind me of myself as a thrifter. I am a newbie thrifter, keep what I purchase but am picking up way too much now. I love most of what I have, turned clay pitcher, a couple of beautiful crystal bowls, one 10” and the other 5-6” diameter. Both are gorgeous, some pewter candlesticks but then there are a few spontaneous buys that I didn’t really need. I guess that is to be expected.
Sounds like you have some great finds!! Thrifting is so fun but it’s even more tempting to buy things you don’t need because of the low cost. 😬 It was really fun to read your comment. Thanks so much for watching!
Lovely finds but I especially love the larger print over that table. I find that smaller prints are better in hallways or in gallery walls, but I think the big print in that wall is much better. It just looks so bright and happy. Thanks for sharing😊
Thank you! I appreciate your comment so much. BTW, congrats on hitting 20,000 subscribers!! That is so awesome. 😁 🎉 👏🏼
I vote for the single painting. If it is indeed an original watercolor that is a steal! I do watercolor painting and the large ones are often done by highly experienced watercolorists. The frame and glass alone are worth $100 if new and made of real wood.
Now I feel even better about this find! 😂 Thanks so much for watching and for commenting!
i love and have collected for years vintage dog figurines and display them throughout my home. i also love vintage art , especially with children and animals like dogs or horses. when i thrift i can hardly pass up crochet dollies . thanks for sharing . God bless
I think collections are so fun. How many dog figurines do you think you have? I also love art with children and animals. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 God bless you!
thank you , i never did count but i probably have at least 100 figurines, most are in an old secretary. i also have 4 real boston terriers b/c i rescued 2 of them. never planned on having that many dogs, lol, but they are a blessing, so you know i can't pass up vintage boston terrier fugurines. @@teresaelling-peacefulhome
Haha - I’ll bet the real ones are adorable! And 100 figurines is quite impressive. I also love grouping pieces of a collection together. I’ll bet they look fantastic in your secretary. 💛
thank you, i am looking forward to your future videos. love your style and ideas@@teresaelling-peacefulhome
Definitely the large single print. Lovely home!!
Thanks, Melanie! I appreciate your vote!
The watercolor is best in my opinion. The four C&I prints seem cluttered. Great finds !
Totally agree
Love the new thrifted watercolor. It looks better than the 4 in an already busy room.
Thank you so much! This vote has been the majority by far! Thanks for watching and for commenting 😊
The one large art work...for sure!
Thanks, Isa! I appreciate you commenting and thanks for watching! 😊
I like the one big picture. I love the picture and the colors coordinate so well with your books below. I enjoyed your video and thought how amazing it was that it popped up on my KZhead feed because as of late I have been buying quite a few things from the thrift stores and for the most part I have a good idea where they are going to go, but I also don’t want more than I need. I have always been one that less is more until recently 🥴 (finding all these goodies at the thrift store has made me into a hoarder. 😮
Haha… it turns me into a hoarder as well! It’s really hard when we are surrounded by so many beautiful things. Thanks so much for your vote and thanks for watching! Welcome to the Peaceful Home, Kacee!!
My mother had those dishes. She never used them . They were a grocery store promotion in west Michigan, I believe in the early 1960s, where you spent a certain amount on your groceries and received a piece.
Exactly! I think that is so cool! It's amazing to think these are now collector's items. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting. :)
I have recently thrifted many of the Courier and Ives pieces that you recently thrifted. I absolutely love the scenes on these items. Reminds me of my childhood. Standing over a fence talking with by neighbor friends. The other one with ice skating in the backyard. I’ve just stacked mine and placed them on the top of a low mini China cabinet. Easy to grab and use for lunch while eating at my desk. I also have that same pottery piece with the blue stripes I thrifted it for $2. I have wooden spoons in mine. It’s such a classic piece.
Ohhh… I didn’t think about putting spoons in it - great idea!! Thanks so much for watching and for your thoughtful comment. 😊
The new large water color! It is beautiful!!
Thanks so much, Lynne!
I love the new larger print there on that wall.
Thank you for your vote. 😊 Thanks for watching and for commenting!
The large water color!!! No question,!!😊
Thanks, Pat!! 😊
I think the one large picture looks just right in that space! ❤
Thanks, Lisa! 😁
My first time seeing this and I am so happy I found it!! I like the single watercolor.
Hi Barb! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting. Welcome to the Peaceful Home!
Definitely, that watercolor! It looks perfect above the new cabinet. What a find.
Thanks, Sheila!
Love this video! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
That print looks beautiful on the wall! I would hang it there!! I like it better than the 4 smaller prints!! Hugs from Michigan! ❤
Thank you!! Michigan?? Stay warm and thanks for watching!
the 4 -I love old cottages
Thanks, Roxanne! I do love those prints so much. I was surprised that the overwhelming majority was for the watercolor. I do love it but it’s not quite right for the spot so I’m probably going to keep looking. 🤣 I really appreciate you watching and commenting!
New subscriber here, love your format!
Thanks, Lisa! 😊 Welcome to the Peaceful Home!
I just found your channel! Love it! From one thrifter to another, thank you. 😊
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching and commenting. Welcome to the Peaceful Home.
I have been collecting the blue Currier and Ives for years. My mother-in-law gave me some plates when I was married in 1977. Those were ruined when my house burned. So I started picking up more pieces when I would go to the flea market or thrift store. I have quite a collection! What is unique for me is that most were made the same year I was born--1954. 70 years old! So I've been collecting since I was 23. I recently acquired some relatively flat serving bowls, which I have been using to make personal size salads. So great to see them on here, because where I live they are no longer so collectible. My boyfriend, who passed in 2019, would call my house "The Flea Market House", before it became popular. Thanks for the video!
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your boyfriend. He named your house well!! I’m so glad you’ve been able to build up a new collection. Thanks for watching, Debra!!
I love how you have setup this video!! I vote for the big one!
Thanks so much for your vote and for watching! I had to go check out your channel and I love it!!
Your voice is so calming and your home is beautiful ❤
Jody, you are so kind - thank you!! 😊 💛
I’m a first time viewer. There are so many thrift- haul videos that I hesitate to look at too many but I liked the de- clutter aspect along with creative thrifting that you present. I also have a similar decorating style to you, I think. Your voice is very peaceful and you showed the end result ( how you styled everything) so I subscribed. Thanks for the effort you put into making this video. 🥰
Welcome to the Peaceful Home, Grace! Thank you for watching, and for such a thoughtful and kind comment! 😊💛
So glad to find your channel! I really like the single framed art piece ... so peaceful and beautiful.

I always enjoy your videos and my favorite videos include thrifting! I love the new picture so I’m voting for it! Happy weekend! 💓🌟💓
Yay! Thank you for your vote and for watching! I’ve always been a little jealous of your booth - that really allows you to buy some cool things and you don’t have to worry about cluttering up your home - you can always resell!! That is genius for thrifters! 🤣 I appreciate you, Carol!!
I'm very pleased that your video showed up on my feed. I thoroughly enjoyed your thrifted haul and how important it is to have a place in mind for each purchase. ❤
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Welcome to the Peaceful Home, Cinderella!! (when else do I get to say that?! 😁)
Beautiful! I’m a little jealous of all of your thrift finds.
Haha… you just don’t see all the garbage left behind after the many times that I walk out with nothing. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting!! 😊
The new thrifted picture,so beautiful ❤️😊
Thank you, Emilia! (I love your name!) Thanks for watching and for commenting 💛

I’m new to your channel, I sure enjoyed your content; oh, and I subscribed. I love the watercolor print in that space, it looks nice with what you have on top of the dresser. The pitcher was my favorite of your haul, gorgeous.

Hi Lynn! Thanks for your vote - you are part of the majority! Welcome to the Peaceful Home 😁
So glad I found you! New subscriber here. I love the single large watercolour - looks elegant and I personally find the 4 prints too frame heavy in that spot.

Thanks so much! 👍🏼😊
first time viewer, I love the single watercolor
Hi Cindy! Welcome to the Peaceful Home!! You are with the majority. I put up the watercolor, and it looks amazing. Thank you so much for watching and for commenting. 😊
You can use the pumpkin as decor on a shelf and just turn the ladle opening to the back.
Maria, that is a great idea!! Thank you! 😊
1 print looks less cluttered. Great finds
Thanks, Tanya! I appreciate your comment! 😊
I love the peaceful river scene, so perfect for sitting in your library using your new lamp. Hope we can thrift together soon!
That would be so fun!! Thanks for your vote 😊
The watercolor is beautiful!
Thank you, Rae!
The ceramic pitcher is beautiful! What an awesome find! (Also, I would go with just the one large framed art above the cabinet.)
Thanks, Jen! I appreciate your comment. 😊
The color of the water in your new watercolor painting matches some of the books on your bookshelf. It's a great find!
Thanks, Cindy!! 😊
The large print makes a better statement, great find
Thanks! I appreciate your comment. 😊
we had the Currier and Ives set when i was a kid. Then i inherited my MIL's set. she had all the accessory pieces too. It eventually went to our niece.
I love a clutter free space! It’s hard when you find so many things you love at the thrift store
It is hard!! There’s part of me that would love to be a minimalist, and I really do hate clutter, but I also really love vintage and antique items! 🤣
I like the new large painting best.
Thank you, Donna! 😊
The large print!
Thanks for your vote!! 😊
I like the Currier & Ives prints. They pull in the blues from the books and pitcher.
They are a classic! Thanks for your vote and thanks for watching! 😁
Just found your channel, great ideas and lovely home. I like the four seasons pictures and actually have them. I put up one at a time and rotate through them with the seasons. For that spot, go with the large painting.
Thanks so much for your vote! I love that you rotate the seasons!! Welcome to the Peaceful Home, Robin!
I think the single picture looks tbe best.😊
Thank you, Sandra! I appreciate you watching and commenting 😁
I gave our son my whole set about 10 years ago. I had serving platters, casserole dish. He still uses it everyday. 😊
Wow!! I just love that you had a whole set! It’s definitely a blessing when we can pass something on that is loved and used. Thanks for watching and commenting, Denise ! 😊

Thank you, Sadie! You are so kind!! Welcome to the Peaceful Home! 💛
First time visit to your channel.. We use the blue and white Currier and Ives dinnerware. We tend to eat large salads, so the serving bowls work great. I have most of the pieces and accumulated enough for 8 ppl. My mom gave me some Friendly Village, and I've added some pieces, and we use those for special dinners but they are displayed on my hutch. The other plate you held up with the Old English Countryside-my mom had one random plate and gave to me as well. I keep one cup in the glass canister on my counter to scoop out oats. It has the winter scene on it so its perfect to display that way, and we use all these things. I had to laugh because I have a wooden primitive bowl and it looked like the one you had the toys in. I purchased a wash stand a year ago to put games snd the grandkiddos toys in so they're handy when they come, but not seen. I like the look of both the 4 pictures and the karge thrifted one. You can't go wrong with either. And what a steal. It's beautiful.
Hi Judy! I absolutely loved reading your comment. Sounds like we have a lot in common. 😊 You are the first viewer to not have a strong opinion, but I agree with you - they both look beautiful, which is why I needed some help deciding. 🤣 Thank you for watching and welcome to the Peaceful Home!!
