Take a tour of my small woodworking shop in a single car garage. I pack a lot of tools into the space without it feeling very cramped. I cover my layout ideas and improvements I have made to this small shop.
Support the channel by visiting my Etsy Shop and using affiliate links in the video description. Do it - and I'll keep making videos. www.etsy.com/shop/LincolnStWoodworks?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
The names are almost as adorable as you are 😂 If you have a yard you should add the your sawdust to your soil. If you don’t garden you can literally just dig a hole and mix it in to feed the worms and microbes. At the landfill, organic products contribute to climate change. By using it you’ll make your soil healthy. Thank you for all the videos
I'm considering buying those JessEm stock guides. I don't see a link. I want to help you out... Post a link if you want.
Doesn't look like you need any more support bro.
John do you have a birds eye view of your shop layout with measurements between everything? I’m setting up a 12x20 shop and have been watching all your stuff! Great info! Keep ‘em coming
Dude, please keep making videos. This is very high quality stuff that stands up to repeat viewing, BOTH for the woodwork content and your presence. You're good at this, give it a chance.
Don't worry we will keep on making them!
@@Lincolnstww Good thing you kept making them! look at you now 😂😂
@@DriveToSucceedTV can’t stop us!!!!!
I agree man great job!! Much love -From the Adirondacks in Upstate NY!!
@@stephanienassman1849 I quit?
Love the outfeed table and the boom system is fantastic!!
Best one car garage shop I’ve ever seen! Also like the starwars
Thanks for the kind words!
I have a set up on my back porch with all my tools in a small shed. I am currently cleaning out my garage to make it to my new shop. How cool?!?!?!?!
Love all your stuff, haven't seen this one before - but the My Cousin Vinny reference is AMAZING!! (I'm always telling my wife "it needs to be dead nuts" so similar)
That outfeed table needs a name!!
I named my sawzall “Rambone”, my 1/2” Milwaukee impact gun “Big Red” and my 1/2” Milwaukee magnum drill “That Gawddamn Wrist Breaking MFer”. My theme is more lewd and profanity but I’m a mechanic, it comes with the territory. You have a fine garage workshop there, I’m sure it’s the envy of all the neighborhood DIY’s.
I like that boom arm!
Thanks! Its an absolute dream in my small space
Love the Star Wars tool name puns. I have a picture of the character "Clamps" from Futurama above my clamp storage
Love the naming conventions!
Nice video. I came for the SW puns.
Thanks Chris.
Very cool shop and how fun and creative is that Star Wars theme. Love it!
I love... every... single... tool name!
For the planer: I got a Pittsburgh Automotive 500 lb. Hydraulic Cart ($250) from Harbor Freight for my DW735. I just drilled mounting holes through the table top. I mount it under the right side of my Sawstop - just a thought! It raises to the exact same height as the DeWalt stand for the DW735. Incredibly satisfying to just drop it back down and push it back under the table saw when done. Just a thought!
First, I love the names of your tools! Second, my shop is just a few feet bigger than yours and I've been having a hell of a time trying to organize so all my tools have a space. So, I thank you for sharing your shop because it helps me a ton!
That boom arm really is a show stopper. Genius idea, and bluetooth?? Perfect!
That was awesome man! Great setup and loving the punny names haha!
I love your naming convention for your tools
Thanks they give me a good laugh whenever I'm in the shop
This is by far my favorite Shop tour of all that I’ve seen. I have watched, probably 100! But I love that you tell us why you put the big machines in certain places, as opposed to walking around and overly explaining a drawer of pens or something. Lol! Thank you for a great video.
I'm more of a Star Trek fan myself, but I can't deny a good pun, so your tool names are awesome
lol thanks! much appreciated
I typically don't enjoy shop tours. Why watch some smuck show off what he has. I was bored, and clicked this link. But your shop tour is totally AWESOME! I love your low key attitude, and silly puns. The imaginative names for your tools. I can say with honesty. I am really happy for you. I rejoice with you, in the beautiful layout and thoughtful space use. Happy woodworking my friend. May the dust be with you.
Thank you Neil
That may the dust be with you line was epic my friend. Happy woodworking. Lol
You are completely right about the magnets and the board, thanks for the idea !
An often neglected part of shop tours, is electrical. Personally, after learning the hard way, I rewired my small shop with 4 separate 110V/20A circuits feeding plenty of outlets at chest height, and also installed 220V outlets. Overkill, but every time I plug in anything, I get a feeling of satisfaction. Worth it.
I agree with you. It’s very important to have good clean power for wood shop.
very true
I just put in some 20 amp in my shop. Finally. I wish I had the panel space to put in three or four separate 20 amp feeds. And I'm not sure what I would do with the 220, but I'd put it there anyway. Welding?
Inspirational to see what you can do with a small space - so efficient! Also love all the Star Wars tool names!
Your Boom Arm idea is great! The sawdust trap for your Miter Saw need more work.
You have a very nicely designed shop!
Well done grasshopper. Well done
That's a great little shop man ! And I thought I was ate up with Star Wars lol
Very well organized. Was a pleasure to meet you at WBC.
Wow beautiful wood shop
Jabba the Cut!!! You’re hillarious!!🤣🤣🤣
Thank you! Hes my favorite in the shop
Nice!! Really nice tools in this!
I watched 20 videos on settig up a small shop prior to yours. Should have just come here from the start. Love the star wars names as well. G'day from Oz :)
Awesome, thank you!
One of the greatest one car garage tours I've seen!!! Great job Bro 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you for the kind words Darryl
I am looking for the best way to manage my little woodshoop, just like you, for me it is also a hobby that I enjoy a lot and I hope to have a small business that gives me extra money, that is not a bad idea, I saw your video and I really liked it, I think the most complicated is to organize or assign a space to all that is left over, since the space I have is very small, I think I have to look for the option of using the ceiling to be able to store things They are not heavy and take up a lot of space. Thank you very much for sharing your video, it was very helpful for me
This is super helpful. I'm in the process of setting up a single-car garage (12'x22') based shop and it's nice to see that it is possible to do all the things in a space that size.
Very nice economy of space! Bravooooo!! Hey! My cousin has written with George Lucus thru all of the Star Wars…. Yes, simply a bragging right! Great vid content too!!
Thanks for some ideas. Agreed awesome content. Pure flippin awesomeness.
A nice little set up. Good on ya
Wow - this is a beautiful shop and impressive use of space, John! Really well done and your video editing is fantastic!
Thank you!
Great video and love the shop and althrough not a huge Star Wars fan the tool names were awesome/funny.
Thanks, glad you liked the tour.
Great layout, great tools and I love the names for your tools.
Very well done! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome set up that works for you , thanks for sharing , great video 🙏
I love the naming of all of your tools! Very fun and creative. And a great, well organized shop! I’m still at the haul everything out to the patio method.
I'm 4:21 into this clip...Han Sawlo!!! As a Star Wars fan I'm naturally loving this so far! And shout outs to Bob and Tim!
Great tour. I'm finally getting my shop set up after moving and have to contend with a lot of "stuff" in my two-car garage and you give some great tips.
This was a recommended video to me from KZhead. Loved it. Nice setup and I love the Star Wars puns.
Im moving my shop into a one car garage and this is a huge help! Tool names are pure fire! Had me at Sandalorian
Thanks, glad you found it helpful. I've got a couple new ones that will pop up slowly in upcoming videos.
Thank you for all the advice I have a one car garage as well and and still trying to find the right place for everything keep making great videos

That boom arm is a great idea

Great shop tour! Inspired me on what I'm going to do with mine. Love the star wars play on names!😂
Congratulations on your store and machinery! I'm working hard to grow my project and move to a bigger shop. Keep making videos and helping us!!!
Awesome tour. My garage -soon to be shop- is the same size and you have given me many great ideas. I really like the placement of your tools and am in awe of the boom arm. Thanks again.
Those Star Wars names are really good :)) Nice content man, keep it up.
Love your tool names, good stuff, nice style and great content. Thanks.
Great wat to start your own shop. Great ideas and love the name on your tools. Very creative 👍🏻
Awesome shop tour! Inspiration for my blank slate one car garage. Definitely subscribing (feels like I'm getting in on the ground floor of a channel that could be huge!)
Thanks Kurt, glad you found it helpful. Wish I could give you some stock options for getting in early, feels like you deserve it.
@@Lincolnstww what are the odds I can get some of those stock options now? 😂 Congrats on the last year, been awesome to see you grow!
Very nice . Congratulations you have a great setup.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video, your shop set up is almost identical to mine, so I found a lot of very useful tips in this for reorganizing! On a side note from a fellow Star Wars nerd, may the force be with you!
This is great. I'm in the process of turning one bay of a three car garage into a shop. Thanks for the ideas!
Nice work. Great ideas.
great use of space...and love all the magnet usage!
You have a great way and wonderful attitude! I'd enjoy seeing a video of your crosscut sled and out-feed assembly table design. The Force is obviously with you!
Nice setup looks awesome
I just finished working on my patio and it did get old. I have the garage shop now and it's gonna be so much nicer!! Great video!
Impressive shop layout! Very helpful. Thank you!
Thanks for watching
Great shop layout. I really dig that boom arm! I hang part of my DC hose from the garage door track with a bungee cord but this has inspired me to make something similar!
Love love love the tool names! Thanks for the tour :)
Thanks Mark. I had a lot of fun coming up with the names and designing the logos
Great stuff, love the boom arm!
Thanks Calvin. Its my favorite addition to the shop. Makes my life a lot easier
Nice shop! I'm newly getting into woodworking, and still pulling my tools out of the shed and setting up on my patio for now.
I love the different uses for magnets that you've incorporated. I'll definitely incorporate those as I get my garage/shop organized. I also love the boom arm you got going.
Thank you! magnets rock
I am seriously impressed!
Absolutely love your tool names!
Glad you like them!
Those star wars stickers are GOLD
Glad you liked them
I appreciate the informative nature in which you teach. You’re not just showing us tips and solutions, you’re explaining them. Unlike a bunch of other you tubers. Nonetheless you’ve inspired me to go handle the unorganized mess I have down in my basement shop. Thanks again….
Nice shop!!
Great stuff!!! You also have great imagination naming tools.
Very impressive shop and love the tool names.
Very good video. I have enough shop equipment to fill a 30 x 30 shop (where it used to be) to a 14 x 20 space. You’ve given me a lot of insight and things to think about. Thanks.
Great stuff! That boom arm for the vacuum hose is brilliant. I’m getting ready to build an assembly table and had already decided to have horizontal and vertical track cuts, but that bigger panel in one corner I hadn’t thought of.
Star Wars? What's that? Nice shop. Love the metal pegboard and magnets, never thought of doing that.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Lots of great ideas. I hope to add a small garage add-on to the side of my existing garage for a workshop and this video helps a lot. Most of woodworking tools in basement and creates quite a mess sometimes. Love your tool names.
So cool, really enjoyed seeing your shop and how you've arrived at different solutions!
Thank you Blake
Thanks for the tour.
No problem!
I definitely get down with your approach to encourage and educate people about pursuing this craft and creating, whether it be with wood or their own channel.
Nice. Good idea on the miter saw magnets. I used hinges, but now I'm gonna change that for easier cleanup. Thanks and good video because I'm working out of a garage too!
great job, so neat and clever, happy for you. also changed my mind on pegboard use
Thank you. Appreciate this tour.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the boom arm, I have an I-beam across the middle of my garage, you gave me a great idea....
Love your shop. Great job.
Thank you!
Great shop tour! Love the tool names!!! 😁😁🐻
Thank you 🤗
Incredibly well thought out use of space! Lot of great tips in here I'll definitely be rewatching to reference. And OMG the Star Wars puns are the best thing about the shop.
Thank you Sam
Man you are good! I think I'll stay with my 35 X 25 but maybe bring your approach to mine. Thanks for the video
Love the Star Wars theme, very witty! Nice shop layout.
thank you!
Nice shop. I like that boom arm. That is a clever solution.
