The plaintiff and defendant used to be close friends. She paid the defendant for a puppy, but the defendant has yet to give her the dog, so she’s suing. The defendant argues she was hacked because she was never selling any puppies to begin with, so the plaintiff was clearly scammed.

This is a common Facebook scam smh
My cousin got scammed out of $500 on Facebook marketplace, same reason
Yes I was coming to say this. It’s very common on Facebook. It seemed too good to be true but almost got me. I decided to reach out personally to the person that supposedly posted it first and found out it was a scam. Smh.
Exactly,. It makes sense to contact the police however the police are already overwhelmed with real issues like car jacking and murd3rs etc.. they don’t have time to investigate FB scams. 😅
And IG 😢
This level of sheer stupidity is common as well...
They’re both slow 🤦🏾♀️ How can you send a copy of your ID to a complete stranger.
Riiiiight!
😅😅😅
Trying to get in on ppp money
The lady that thought she was buying the dog got scammed. The lady that claimed she sent her ID for a bank deposit knee it was a scam
Good luck reaching Facebook. Their customer service is nonexistent
Exactly. 😊
They don't even have a phone number. Unbelievable what they're able to get away with.
@@ugoddessthepoetWe can’t reach them. But they reach us and shut our whole accounts down. 🤦🏾♀️
My experience too.
That is the truth
Plaintiff isn’t the brightest crayon in the box 🙃
Nor, the defendant 😅
They are as sharp as a marble
Agree
Neither is the defendant, sending her ID to some guy who said he could get her COVID money.
Lol..."I got caught stealing at Walmart. I was young..." (expecting 14yo or something) "I was 26...," 😂
Yes this was crazy 😂
Right 😂
She is 34. She was probably 20 but felt it was only 10 years ago. 😂 My mom will say things happened 10 years ago but its been 20-30. I'm 31 and I will feel like something was yesterday I was 19-22.
😩😂😂
DUH 🙄 The brain is fully cooked at 25 (as Judge Judy would say)
Girl…🙄Y’all ain’t friends…y’all don’t talk!! She’s gotta eat that loss.
So many people can be so gullible, it's astounding what people fall for.
right she kept buying ish 😂🤣🤦🏽♀️
I agree totally except this poor girl might fall under something a bit stronger like “just plain stupid”!!
It's absolutely astonishing 😳how dumb people can be....it blows my mind.
I’ve seen it alll…
Lmao Doug over here pouring salt on the wound as usual 😂😂😂
💀💀💀
That's what he always does, I swear if I ever went on this show I would be ready for him, he really enjoys catching people off guard and totally disrespecting them!!
Calling her silly. Dang. 😮
This is why these scammers are so unrelentless because they are successful! People please educate Yourselves on the type of scams that are out there!! Don't become another victim!!
*Relentless
As soon as you become hip to the new scam, they create new ones. It's a really hard to keep up, especially if you're an older person who doesn't know a whole lot about social media in the first place
I am not computer wavy, but I am know about scam. One day I was getting text messages on my messenger on what I thought was my nephew. So am I full conversation with him, then all of a sudden he asking me for money. I was like what. So I called him and ask why u asking for money, he responded what money u talking about. At the same he phone pinging from the messages them and I was like scammers / hackers would go through an extent to get your money. I am just saying that people need to stop being so vulnerable. Wells Fargo also telling people to be so careful of these scams
@@fitnessfocused I used speech to text and it always messes something up lol
@@alyssahamlett I myself don't know all of the scams but I know quite a few of them. I think it's always best to just play it safe and never trust anything! I assume everything is a scam. Especially if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.
These women are absolutely ridiculous. How the hell do you not know you're being scammed?? Omg the ignorance is unbelievable. This is why scammers continue to try to scam people because of gullible people like this.
Someone on FACEBOOK has been scamming people for months. I went to the cops. I put big signs on their page. People are so desperate they fall for anything
People don’t be knowing because they hacking pages of people you know I almost got gotten myself until I realized they was a fraud. It’s a honest mistake
@@goddessp5209 there were SO many red flags!! All the different accounts that she sent the money to. She was extremely gullible and naive.
@@goddessp5209Nope, usually greed. Not honesty. You wanna take free money, free handouts? You deserve the misfortune you incur.
My dad's cousin got hacked & the person was getting money from our family 😂 it's called a scam for a reason. These mfs are professionals
I understand what she means about not knowing where to look after you report a scam.
Yeah, it doesn't send you anything back.
Exactly
You send an email and show the email.
@@davidswick8571that’s not how it works on FB. They make you report it in their site
There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING you can do once hacked on FB! I went through hell trying to get my old page back, years and years of music footage, pictures and memories all gone!
This is exactly why scammers still get money, I can't believe people are this dumb
I hope everyone enjoys their Friday, and have a perfect weekend.
You too !!
You too!
You too!
You too!🤗💕
And you as well! 😊
The plaintiff isn’t smart 🤦🏾♀️
Neither is the defendant 😂
That’s not true these hackers almost got me too with a tea cup it was probably the same MFS they hack your friends page so you really think it’s them
Unfortunately, this happens all the time on Facebook!
Joseph movie I don't know what she talked about I still can't get on my page and Facebook didn't do nothing about it
Yea someone hacked my Facebook n asked my family members for money
I've seen people get hacked on facebook while I'm talking to them. It's crazy.
It's crazy that the plaintiff thinks its more likely her friend scammed her than some random scammer and not only did she get scammed once but multiple times. I hope she knows that she'll be on a scammer list as an easy target and will be contacted in the future by other scammers. When did everyone stop doing the whole "don't trust the internet, anyone can post anything, it doesn't have to be real or true"??
If the Judge thinks it’s easy to report anything to fb, correspond with them and /or have them act in a timely manner she’s never tried it herself. They don’t care
My friends account is currently hacked, and their "selling" all of their furniture. It is a complete scam.
These scams are widespread. Why isn't FB more aware of this?
My partner's account is currently hacked and selling these same dogs, cars, and furniture 🤦🏾♀️ so he had to make a new page with a whole different name so family and friends would know the difference. Even reporting the account hasn't helped at all. It's so annoying 😞
Happy Friday y’all!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy it’s the weekend 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Happy Friday girrrrrl!
Happy Friday!
Greed will always continue to catch the right people. You both got scammed. Plaintiff should have reached out to her “friend” to make sure it was her🙄
No somebody hacked my mother facebook and started a whole go fund me I see puppy scams all the time
26 is not YOUNG to steal. 15 is young to do something that dumb and i gnorant.
She was probably younger. 😂 when you are thirty you feel like it was yesterday it wasn't. I was saying 21 is a fun age, and it dawned on me that was 10 years ago for me 💀
This lady I wouldn’t trust her to cross the street by herself 😂😂😂
I seen this Facebook scam! A friend of mines was hacked person was selling Yorkie puppies smh 🤦🏾♀️
This must have been during COVID LOCKDOWN 😂😂😂
People have been trying to scam me since I reported my dog missing. People are cruel
I'm so sorry
How do they scam you over a missing dog?
@@alyssahamlettprobably saying they have it and they will return it for a fee.
The police are not going to do anything about this. It happens to thousands of people
She wanted that puppy so bad she wasn’t even thinking straight. Cause all of this is a red flag
How would she KNOW defrauding was happening if she no longer had access to the facebook judge 🙄
Because her friend contacted her 8 months before the plaintiff got scammed warning her. She knew her hacked page was scamming people. She could have reported it to the police (whether they take it seriously is another matter)
Ughhh this is so annoying because the judge is wrong I have been hacked and I was completely powerless and all of my friends were trying to warn ppl and scammer blocked and deleted them!!
The short bus is parked outside for both of them.
$500 for a teacup…that’s a red flag…
No, it isn’t. Teacup Yorkies can go up to $1000. They’re a design breed just like labradoodles and teacup Maltese and all those breeds. Super expensive
@@thenatural5268 I wonder if OP meant $500 seems to be on the cheaper side and that alone should've alerted the plaintiff 🤷🏾♀️. I really want one of these adorable puppies, but I have heard they are pricey.
@@thenatural5268I think that’s the point she was making, that the price is too good to be true. Nobody is going to sell a designer dog for $500
My fiancée’s account got hacked and tried to report it to FB. FB was no help and honestly made it easy to hack.
I would just LOVE to see how the defendant handed the judge her phone to talk to her witness. Just love to.
@BobBlumenfeld 😂😂😂😂 Same!!
She provided the judge the number, and the judge made the call.
@@sonyajones4390 exactly. Some people must think she passed her the phone (which was a different colour to start with 🤦♂️) through the computer screen during the Zoom call 🙃🤣
Doug certainly knows how to "kick a person when she or he is down...throw salt in the wound..." all those old proverbial sayings. 😊
Good case. I was shocked that the defendant turned out to be not guilty, although she did sound credible. She did sound believable, and it's unfortunate for both of them. And yes, you definitely need to go the extra mile and protect yourself when something has happened, like calling the police. They have to understand that there are not even a lot of laws out yet for all this internet scamming!
I’ve seen this going around. It’s a huge scam. That’s sucks for both of them
The plaintiff is kinda dim witted. How did she not figure out this was a scam 😳 sent all that money to 3 different places. And then bought a kit 😮
Greed overrules common sense. Free money? Cheap puppy? Let's get me some. SMH
I honestly wouldn't have sent money the first time to an account that isn't tied to the person I need to send it to.
Wait.... so she's smart enough to file a lawsuit but too dim to realize she's being scammed... this literally happened to me.. I was like... if I have the money to pay in full and can get the dog today, why would I send a deposit.. just crazy 🤦🏾♀️
Some people shouldn't have access to bank accounts.
Some people are just really slow
The guy on the phone was very well mannered. Good job!
My FB account was hacked, and someone was trying to sell things. I tried to recover the account, but I couldn't. I sent documentation to FB, and they said they couldn't verify it was me. Thankfully, I had friends who knew how I operate.
I’ve seen that pic of those same puppies SO many times. Def a scam
Thank you!!! 👏 👏 👏
People gotta learn to do a reverse image search lol. Not that you should need to do that much, but still.
Lol, Judge thinking Facebook is going to be any help at all 😂
This is why I don't have any of my personal information on social media
I have had people get hacked and try to get me. My parents got hacked. Its not easy when the police don't really want to write the report. Its a almost no win situation. I feel for both
This judge is so green, she thinks you can stop scammers who hack your account. Facebook cant even stop them and when you report the hacking they dont give you a receipt or copy of correspondence. Who does this judge think we are CSI, Computer technology experts. The plaintiff acted foolishly
Doug: don’t u feel silly? 😂😅😂
Sending all that money to different accounts didn’t raise no eyebrows?! 😂
the plaintiff didn't even care to win .. like girl, all you had to do was check the other posts on her page to see if she was talking about other stuff besides the puppies.. cuz a scammer ain't gonna be sharing memes, etc.
Person who scammed me blocked me so I couldn't see her page anymore. Thankfully I could still see our fb messenger posts when she blocked me.
@@erinnorwood6124 that's why you create another profile & or have your friends/family see the page on their end... i mean, aye, if yall don't care about yall money, that's cool too 👍🏿
even thought this whole transaction was fishy, the fact that the plantiff wanted a dog, but didn't have enough to pay in-full just irks me. Don't get a dog if you can't afford it!
Anyone that has had their Facebook account hacks knows Facebook does not make it easy to recover it. Mine was hacked and the people kept logging back in and changing my password. And Facebook act like they could do nothing to stop it. It's happened to some of my friends too. And the people that hacked their accounts posted household items for sale. It's always something for sale.
They were both foolish af 😂
Plaintiff is not the smartest…YIKES!!
SAME with the defendant.
I truly hope Karma exists and visits all these scammers out there!
Man that same picture of them dogs I seen of facebook sis u should’ve known it was a scam
Some people need brain cells!!! How do you keep sending money to random people without getting what you are buying! The defendant obviously took advantage of dum plaintiff! What a scammer!!
The fact that you thought you’d get a teacup Yorkie for $500 and you’re making payments? Cmon now!
This is a common thing on FB which is why you shouldn't click on any links from other people especially when they ask you to help them not be locked out their account or if your trying to get the so called" free money" and they ask you for your ID dont do it. Once a scammer gets a hold of the account they will block the person from their account and begin to use the account as their own including all pics, etc
This been going on for years
I'm always in a hurry to send my ID, my social security number, my banking info to anyone online who asks. YUP YUP YUP. I seek out complete strangers to rob me blind. It's a hobby and I love it...this case was way too funny.
Rescue animals need love❤
Soon as I heard Yorkies I knew it was a scam!!!! They on FB everyday and didn't know ppl are hacking accts tryna get money by selling fake Yorkies 🙄 Lawd y'all come on 🤦
Thus is crazy but the fact is if you get hacked it's very hard to watch anyone at Facebook for help and the police really aren't interested.
SMH 🤦🏽♀️
If you need to make payments on a dog the. You DONT need a dog
I would not have called the police. It was a Facebook hack not an IRS credit hack.... Judge is being extra
$500 for a teacup yorkie!! Come on...those are at least 1k.
I’m so sick of Facebook disregarding people who try to report pages like this. Mine was hacked at 11k and Facebook wouldn’t event help! Yet we can be criminalize over this bs!!!!!
I LOVE YALL SOOOO MUCH PEOPLE'S COURT❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ _ THX FOR YEARSSSS OF LEGAL, PRACTICAL , PRINCIPAL CORRECTION GIVEN, & COMMON SENSE STYLE KNOWLEDGE ...
I believe she was hacked, she's just not good at preparing any sort of evidence lol
As I go through life, it is becoming more and more apparent to me that intelligence is a commodity and rare! Speaking of which, Judge Milian's husband is handsome *and* clever (another seemingly rare combo).
Judge Marilyn is smart as a whip ❤️ her !
Dang they are both dim witted 😂
Ain't no way I would buy a puppy without seeing it for myself
IMO, to just have your friend tag a post a post isn’t enough. The defendant should have filed a police report and had FB shut the account down so the scammer wouldn’t have access to the rest of her 4500 “friends”
This is why I always take the time to message friends to change their passwords when I see they have been hacked. Pls if u see someone socials been hacked message them or if u have their number text them to change their password or just report the page for being hacked if u can’t reach them. It can literally save people lol
There really are vulnerable people in the world and scammers online capitalize off that.
I had someone steal my facebook account. Until now, I couldn’t understand why they would do that.
Happened to me too and I couldn't get it back! They put some crap on there that my husband had been in a wreck and needed money for a surgery. Everyone who knew me knew I'd never beg for money but some not so close friends gave money, thankfully not a lot. I don't know what ever happened to it because when I opened new account, I went on there and called them out on it but then they blocked me. Facebook was ZERO help on that.
@@Peoplesuk Same. I made multiple complaints to FB and had friends make complaints to FB and we received absolutely no response. I still have the new account so I can see photos but I never post anything myself now.
Dang, they both got PLAYED!! 😮
4 different places to send money… and this does not raise any concerns?!?!?! I had some guy call me about a kitten and he wanted a deposit to hold the kitten. We are in the same city so I told him we wanted to meet him and the kitten and I’ll bring the money. He never got back to me! SCAM!!!!! I have learned if you fall for this crap you are not to swift
Yea the plaintiff is a lil slow.😂
Wow that went left...
The price...red flag! Sending money to 3rd party...red flag! Send money to different place each time...red flag!! If it was a 1 time thing cool...but u KEEP sending...she got NO BELLS in her head to go off. She shouldnt be trusted to handle her own money! The "executive housekeeper" isnt so bright herself. Free money, so let me send my ID to this guy. smdh
These scammers are so good they once video called me from someone close to me FB account and had a video playing of her in the car driving ! Luckily I was able to call someone we knew mutually and they told me they’d been hacked and was using one of her old videos
What the hell is Harvey talking about at the end lol
😂 Right...
Pausing to say: *“Stupid is, as stupid does”,* and that goes for both the plaintiff AND the defendant! Scammers can see these ladies coming from a universe away. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ #CommonSenseIsNotCommon
#CommonSenseIsNotCommon 💯👏🏾👏🏾
I don’t believe the defendant…
FB does absolutely nothing when your account is hacked. They have no phone number to call and you send a message, but never get responses. My sister’s account was hacked and stolen. FB basically gave her a middle finger when she reported it.
Police won't do anything. My SIL recently had her Facebook store hacked and stolen from her. She has tried to get a report, tried contacting FB, etc. She ended up making a new store, but the old one is still open with people making purchases thinking it's from her.
How does one miss so many 🚩s?
Why would you send 4 payments to 4 different places? No sense..
Now girl come on 🤦🏾♀️
Both of them are gullible … smh
Judge missed it. Defendant only had warning put up THREE months after the girl got scammed!
No she got hacked in June 2021 and got the friend to send the warning out in June 2021. The girl got hacked in March 2022.
