Instead, I wanted a way to attach my flat sheet to the backside of my duvet. All night, I toss and turn and wake up with my flat sheet in a mess. • THANK YOU.......This is the best option I've seen. I've never had an issue until I bought a king size doona and king linen doona cover and it's sending us crazy. Now I can use my very expensive snap puuter-oner and few of the hundreds of snaps I bought in 20 different colours, (because they'll come in handy one day.) Have you ever used them on the sides as well. Just wondered if it is even more secure. I suspect it's the linen that has a mind of it's own.

    @lennymac5915@lennymac5915 Жыл бұрын
    • I'm so glad this solved your problem! I have put them on the sides, and it will keep you from having one side be all duvet and one side of it having a bunched up blanket on the inside. With the twin size I found it overkill, mainly due to us using cotton light weight covers, but with a heavier would, I think it would be helpful. Thank you for watching!

    @jewelscakes8157@jewelscakes81579 ай бұрын
    • I would add the four snaps in the corners and see how it holds. With a regular fitting Down Blanket, I will fluff the Blanket in its cover as sometimes it does gather in certain spots. However, with the snaps it is just snapping it in the air a few times and done. If it still is bunching, I would add extra snaps to hold in place so it is evenly distributed. For instance, one extra in the top middle and bottom as well as a few on each side so it doesn't all lay on one end or the other. Let us know how it works and thanks for watching!

    • First of all I would like to THANK YOU for sharing this incredible and simple method as I have like the rest struggled for years to get on the cover and ofcourse the shifting is no fun either. I do want to share here a variation, I tried as I had a few failed snaps due to the thickness and rounded corner of the my comforter edge. What I ended up doing is positioning the snaps about an 1-1.5" (25-38mm) from the edges. This required the snaps on the cover to NOT go through both layers but just one side. It takes some bit of planning to secure the snap. This also helps address the issue with length noted here if the cover is a bit longer or wider you can position snaps accordingly. I'm not sure if there is a way to share a picture but If anyone wants to try this variation happy to share more @@TheSimpleHaus. Thanks again this is a great solution and I plan on using snaps on all my envelope style pillow cover that tend to not hold😀

  • My duvet and cover both have ties in the corners, but my issue is more that it bunches in the middle (it's a king size). Have you ever done this in more spots than the corners, and do you think it would work well?

  • I just use a piece of nice rope and tie the 2 corner above to prevent it from slipping down and that is enough. No hassle with all the things needing to be bought, installed or sewed. Also safety pins are bad because winter duvet are quite heavy and can make it open and possible stab you. Also it damage fibers with may cause a hole the other pin thing would cause damage as well but less. A well tied corner will stay until duvet need to be changed and washed so no needing to put everything inside out to fix or unfix things either just pull the rope on one side and done.

  • I had a most difficult time attaching these snaps. It took days. The snaps with the spikes ended up for the most part breaking off. I had to keep going over and over replacing the broken spiked snaps with new ones. The comforter is supposedly queen size 86x86 and although the cover was supposed to be the same size it's actually way bigger. The comforter is also heavy so I had to put the snaps in about 7" inches apart. I will never use this system again.

    • I’ve made a lot of diapers and also had these issues too. Or the whole snap would pop off. I do know that a lot has to do with adding the right amount of pressure and I suspect too much pressure to the snap pliers. Also it’s possible that diapers go through more use and abuse and laundering, so the duvet situation might be better.

    • If you own a sewing machine, you can make button holes on wide bias tape, Then sew those strips onto the corners. Attach buttons to the duvet cover. These stay secure & are easy to detach/reattach. If you don't have a sewing machine, you can also use elastic & buttons. Sew strong elastic loops onto the corners & attach them around large buttons you've sewed onto the other corners. You can place these also at the mid points for heavier duvets.

    • I have found if I take it out o the washer and kinda of lay it flat in the bottom of the dryer that the chances are a lot lower of getting stuff inside of it. Or I simply line dry them, which is what most people in Europe do. However, sometimes weather doesn't allow that.

If you go to this video, kzhead.info/sun/ptaYY6aqZ5d_aYE/bejne.html you can see how I put on the duvet covers. I keep the Cover inside out while snapping the duvet blanket to the cover.
