Read the President's Plan: OFA.BO/MX3Ss8
"Over the next four months you have a choice to make. Not just between two political parties or even two people. It's a choice between two very different plans for our country.
Governor Romney's plan would cut taxes for the folks at the very top, roll back regulations on big banks, and he says that if we do our economy will grow and everyone will benefit.
But you know what? We tried that top-down approach. It's what caused the mess in the first place.
I believe the only way to create an economy built to last is to strengthen the middle class. Asking the wealthy to pay a little more so we can pay down our debt in a balanced way. So that we can afford to invest in education, manufacturing, and homegrown American energy for good middle class jobs. Sometimes politics can seem very small. But the choice you face, it couldn't be bigger."
OFA Press Release:
Obama for America Released New Television Advertisement: "The Choice"
CHICAGO -- Obama for America released a new television advertisement today titled "The Choice." The American people will decide over the next four month between two fundamentally different plans for our country, and OFA's new ad features President Obama laying out the choice of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and pay down the debt. The President's plan ensures everyone pays their fair share and still invests in the things we need to create jobs and grow our economy over the long term, like education, energy, and infrastructure.

  • Wow, I have to say...I am completely impressed. This is an amazing ad, as I think it really strikes the "choice" election that the democrats want 2012 to be. I hope both sides can do more ads like this. It's time to set aside politics and do what's best for the American people. I really hope that the recent tragedy in Colorado will bring politicians back a step, and understand they should be grieving for us and understanding OUR problems. Not the other way around.

  • This is how political ads should be. Not sensationalist, not meaningless quips, not out-of-context quotes, not an ad-hominem attack, just the candidate explaining major differences between his plan and his opponent's.

  • I can't wait for another 4 years of Obama. I've never been able to say that about a sitting President in my voting lifetime (1988 was my first presidential election). This is the first President I have ever had confidence in, the first President I actually feel gives a damn about the rest of us and will try to make the best decisions for us, not his wealthy friends. I'm looking forward to another 4 years.

  • Bring factories back to the us with incentives to companies who do it, and punish the companies who keep it over seas. Simple was to solve the job crisis. For some reason, it hasn't happend yet. The revenue the us would make, along with how many jobs would be created is good enough of a reason to do it.

  • I'm from Canada, and I've been keeping up with American politics because this election also affects my country indirectly. I'm just hoping Americans won't make the same mistake as the 2004 elections and vote practically. Nevertheless, both candidates reveal distinct flaws. But Mitt Romney will be the peril for this country.

Almost everyone thinks he's mostly failed (because there's so much noise about Congress trying to defeat him?), but his list of success in things that matter to us is surprisingly long--over 200 achievements we never or rarely hear about.

Meanwhile, technology firms have expanded operations in Canada and other countries to more easily hire the skilled workers they need. President Obama may benefit politically from a pro-immigration image, but it is about time he actually earned it."
