Chael you need to go back on JRE again please
Where's your kid at ?
Dono x Dono Don’t say it.
EboDagoat Don't say what ?! Are you kidding me ! Where's your fucking son
Cant stand rogain. This podcast is light years beyond juvenile dribble joe.
FISH ON how? I love Chael, but this is a free rant with no one countering his points.
chael has always had a very listenable voice, if he was my math teacher i wouldn't be working for minimum wage right now
Bruh Khan Academy
fuck genghis khan
Maybe.... Chances are you would still be working where you work haha. But no shame in working where you work, at least you have a job.
You work the job you deserve. A good math teacher would have no effect on your work ethic and drive or overall intelligence. Buckle down learn a trade and there is no reason a person of average intelligence can't make a great living in America.
wawawawawawawhat what job do u work?
I absolutely fucking love how he always looks at the ceiling when he's talking hahahaha!
That's because he has his script stuck up there
Not necessarily script, who puts a script on the ceiling? It's more likely that Chael is a visual thinker. Visual thinkers oftentimes look up at an angle while forming thoughts..
he's joking buddy calm down. jeez.
Didn’t notice till you said that. Now it’s bugging me lol. Love Chael!
Just an honest answer brother, i notice he always looks up too. It's a trait of visual thinkers, that's all dawg
Numbers are slipping because everyone is watching third-party illegal streams of the shows instead of watching them on TV or buying the PPV. Even 4 or 5 years ago this was completely implausible, but with the rise of platforms like Netflix and Twitch we've become a streaming society. PPV is outdated, cords are being cut- UFC has a very young demographic compared to other sports, which is great, except young people are technologically literate and know where to get these free streams, and they can't afford fight pass + a cable subscription + 12 fucking PPVs a year. More people are watching UFC than ever by FAR, but also a very very large amount of them are watching it outside the UFC's distribution platforms. UFC needs to find a way to get on this train, like partnering with Netflix, because this is only going to get exponentially worse for the UFC every day even while their audience grows.
Skylitze exactly. I keep hearing people talk about MMA and UFC numbers being down yet I know more people than ever before talking about MMA. Most people just can’t afford all those pay per views so they order two or three a year at most. And try illegally streaming the rest, if not, all.
truth
Butterfly Massacre yea talk about decade after decade when 100 years ago you could die from pretty much anything . The world is changing automation will diminish hundreds of job things always get worse before they get better
I don't stream em anymore cuz the UFC streams are particularly troublesome, but I pretty much never buy the PPV's, I much prefer going out and experiencing it amongst the people to be honest.
very true this made me lol
“amanda noons”
That's the way it is spelled in portuguese
Pronounced you mean? If that’s he case I didn’t know that. I really believe NUU-NES, is how it is as a lot of Portuguese soccer players say it that way. Hmm
Chael pronounces names the way Chael wants that name to be pronounced and sooner or later so it is done. Just ask Yarear.
That is not how it´s spelled in portuguese he just can´t pronouce it but it´s all good most brazilians can´t pronounce American names.
I love the way he says it lmao
Oooo 40 minutes of Chael talking, count me in!
I don't know why.. But I could listen to Chael talk about anything for hours lol.
42+ minute video! Chael is the greatest.
The only problem is that Overeem is getting a bad wrap over this because he isn’t even complaining about anything at all. The media created this myth that Overeem is upset about not being in the main card. He said on the MMAhour that he’s happy with where he is on the card and he’s happy to have his fight done earlier so he can enjoy the rest of the fight card.
AmericanZombieDos He and Blaydes both said, "The money's the same"
A 42 minute video of Chael discussing interesting topics? The MMA gods have blessed us tonight bois!
Jesus Christ is God, get saved read the book of John and Romans from Tue King James Bible call upon the name of the Lord.

Uzamaki Luffy I have already been saved. I was baptized a long time ago. But thanks for doing good here in the youtube comment section. Respect!
Uzamaki Luffy I just don't see what prompted your comment. I said the MMA Gods, which is clearly a joke about something that doesn't exist, but I thought that was obvious.
Chael "i'll get to my point" Sonnen, lol
Thanks so much, Chael. I appreciate your videos a lot
That was a fantastic point Chael P thank you for your wisdom and honesty in telling us prior to the point that it was indeed a fantastic point.
You nailed it Chael! I am not even a big fan of Kevin and I can't deny you're right.
WELL IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! I finally get to Watch & Listen to u talk for longer than 3 or 4 minutes. I love the content in clips, but I hate how short they are. Keep it up. 👍
Overeem received a lot of crap because of something relating to this subject when a reporter brought up during the post fight conference last week that Overeem was vocal about being angry that he's on the prelims. When in reality he said in an interview with Ariel that it's not a bad thing to be on a PPV prelim card because the fight will be seen by more viewers due to being free on TV instead of a limited number of paying viewers.
Arthur Sprong yeah it’s irritating that the media creates fake drama by putting words into this mans mouth. He wasn’t upset in the slightest and somehow people are reacting as if he’s complaining when he’s not.
I'm a huge kevin lee fan after hearing this, let alone taking the ferguson fight after having staph. As far as randy wrestling at centennial hs, I thought you were gonna say he did it to be nice and pass on lessons to the next gen. I can't imagine anyone in hs keeping up with him even in his 60s.
The single greatest talker in sports. He can for an hour by himself have an in depth thoughtful stream of conscience on a single topic. Love the show Chael
You are doing great with this channel. Congratulations!!
I'm happy to see you now include the video footage of you talking in your podcast. I feel it's added to the production value a lot.
I really appreciate your insight chael, as an mma fan I learn a lot from you and entertaining as always to boot
Chael, stop trolling. You know how to pronounce Yair and Nunes.
KZheadr lmao
I do promotions for some world level figures or near world level, in another industry or social media segment. 140,000 phone calls in finance then industrial sales. And I always learn from Chael. Or when not learn, reinforce the good things I have found from lots of hard work. Genius.
Oh wow, I thought it was 4 minutes long..... 40+ minute long video! I'm in for the long haul!
love these chats...more please :)
just listened to Chael talk for over 40 minutes. He didn't rush, didn't talk fast, plenty of pauses, explained the same few points in different ways. I was interested the whole damn time. Chael mate you're a Legend :)
Thank you Chael
I come to this channel for an intelligent interpretation and im never disappointed
Love Chael man.
Brilliant, thank you
This is all so spot on
this is great chael, do such talk about marriage and life when you have time...
God damn chael is a genius
Hey Chael, after MMA, you ever considered being an agent? You got the contacts/network, know the external and internal workings of every aspect of pro MMA, and a great strategist and speaker. It could be highly lucrative, especially for a guy like Chael.
Or he could be a great coach.
@@johnlewis1640 he would be a great coach.. especially in wrestling.. buy being an agent might be more lucrativr
Americans love Chael like UK loves the count!
And Chael kicked Britscream's ARSE
Even us brits like chael lol
Interesting u call him the count. I call him the dank
Wtf like more than half of UFC fighters are American lol...it’s not the same at all. Also, Chael is loved in every country, except probably Brazil
They are both amazing, listen to and love both of any interview/podcast they put out.
Sadly this won’t be Chaels most popular video but it should be and current and up incoming fighters should listen to this.
You could say this video is under promoted by KZhead.
Chael is a naturally gifted talker , I could listen to him all day everyday
i would watch these if they were this long i see them but they are 6 mins i just listen to the podcast. Excellent chael
I totaly agree with chael you have to create intrest about urs fight no matter how good you r it dosent matter if no body know who u r
I love this chael keep up the long vids
A Chael vids is more interesting than 3/4 of fights haha thanks man!
Man like Chael is sick, have a speedy recovery 😢
Love the take on Randy.
Great rant.
You know what the cool thing about this advice is? It applies in all walks of life. If you take the time to put yourself out there, to struggle, to grind, then you are giving yourself the chances to succeed. And sometimes, whether it by correlation or coincidence, more opportunities fall in your lap. Keep up the bad work, bad guy ;)
Bring something to the table, the promotion doesn't owe you nothing. Just keep winning, do wwe shit, it's hard because you need to have something rare in order for people to be interested in you and most people that are under promoted don't have that, fans aren't drawn to those fighters. Also being good at talking, talking shit, being witty helps
why does colby suck then
#Nerdbash2018
Donald Wilson. Actually, Colby has gotten his name on a main card and it's mainly because he talks shit, and is winning. He doesn't even care if he comes across as xenophobic, racist, "the bad guy", etc. That's what's so sad. No one even knows him, but the want him to lose just because they hate him. Plus they don't just hate what he says, they basically hate the cringe worthy way in which he talks trash, which is noticeably forced and childish. If he loses her may not have another gimmick to fall back on.
Colby is promoting himself the way he'll get attention and it's working. He knows what he's doing. It's all an act. This video sums it up perfectly. I'm assuming you didn't watch it with a comment like that.
michael thomas . I said xenophobic because he purposefully called all Brazilian people filthy animals..... Didn't want to use the term "racist" because Brazilians are such a diverse group and can't be lumped into a single race. But he isn't that talented, and has leap frogged the actual talent in the division. I mean he got tagged in a striking battle against Damien Maia.... Nuff said.
Probably best one yet
42 mins of Chael??Fuck Yeah.
I commented on one of your videos recently asking you what goes into the mindset of a good promoter I think this video answer some of that thank you
Chael I adore you
Hey @ChaelSonnen as someone coming from the Oregon scene and training for the MMA and boxing what steps/gyms would you recommend to someone? Huge fan of yours you are a bad ass and I look up to you my dude.
Do more videos like this long again cheal🙏
Old Chael content was so cool, he should bring back this vibe one day
"You just don't have these perfect storms that you can manipulate ahead of time." Chael is dropping gems right now.
Uncle Chael dropping knowledge
Epic rant coming
Often the prelim main event can be better than the 1, 2 or 3 match of the PPV. Just look at Robby Lawler's retirement match, prelim main event, garnered much more attention than if he was the 2nd match of the PPV.
Best way for a fighter to get name out there is to treat his opponent like an enemy . That’s what Conor and Diaz do and people love it
Fighter all deserve recognition anyone willing to step in
One thing all these people are missing is he is doing this pod cast talking to no one only himself for almost a hour that is dam good but ive always know he can do it he is such a good talker he is great at everything next hw champ
Great video! I'd love to hear thoughts on this connecting to a guy like Mighty Mouse, who has established such a reputation among his peers and some hardcore fans, has made some decent attempts at self-promotion (twitch, etc) but hasn't managed to become that "star."
Wise ol' Chael. 👍
At the end of the day, as a fighter, you are an independent contractor through the UFC ; ect. It is up to you, and or your management team to promote you or your own brand.
Chael SHOULD be commentating Octagon side!! He knows what's going on!!
Chael i love your hair.
Kevin's highly intelligent. Even after his loss to Ferguson, he kept up his media appearances. He's even been engaging with his fans online, taking part in Q&As.
your back wall is perfect sponsorship space :)
Yareer Rodriguez vs Amanda Noons is the fight to make
Kevin Lee is a good example for anybody trying to get by in music or just somebody who's unemployed. I don't know shit about MMA but I admire these dudes fight mentality and I want to learn from it
A good Manager can make a difference in most cases!
I think the best current example of what Chael is laying out here is Dwayne Johnson, before the Rock you can look at Michael Jordan, Shaq, and Hulk Hogan. And then there is the granddaddy of all crossover athletes Arnold Schwarzenegger. What's interesting is that Sugar Ray Leonard set that template back in the 70's and that's why he was the template for Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies. And Sugar Ray took that playbook from Muhammad Ali, Joe DiMaggio, and Babe Ruth. The more things change man, the more they stay the same. Connor is at that cusp but could easily go the road of a Goldberg (most popular for a time bit defined by their role in that sport) or sadly a Dennis Rodman (infamous despite their sport) specifically outside of the sport itself.
chael is dropping some knowledge here. Bisping is one of the best examples of using the media attention well as in his long career he's always headlining cards . Not many fighters after a close fight with leites would get silva in their home country. Fighters that may never win a belt or stay top 15 like perry, lobov, caceres, felder and bochniak will be able to to make a good living on the prelims because they are fun to watch and have exposure to the fans.
Chael is really giving away the game for free. This is dope..
i miss these types of videos
I think UFC Chicago is so stacked you can’t just have everyone on the main card.
Gus Bus just no injuries please
I'll be In attendance.. unfortunately Bobby green already got injured
Gus Bus Is your username a reference to The Benchwarmers? How long have you had this account?
This is a great video Chanel This is Tyson Duckworth from Ketchikan Alaska king of the featherweights at the Alaska fighting championship now...right here on AFC’s new home UFC fight pass Wo wo wo Chael ...I’m not done yet , if you think I won’t add a middle aged podcastter just for the goddamn hell of it -think again Ryan hall-3 month’s-you and the king of Alaska!!!!!
I look forward to you and Ariel teaming up!
I agree with Chael and offer this comparison. Gene Stallings won a national Championship at Alabama in football in 1992. Years later he was out basically because he won with defense and not turning the ball over. Apparently according to some ignorant van it was fun to win a National Championship but could have been a lot more fun if we were rolling over teens with gigantic offense like the Miami Hurricanes used to. And I agree with Chael Sonnen even though I think it's cigarette because cannot stand on the Merritt that the best team or best fighter is who Rises to the top in the longevity of your sport is in question. And the UFC has always and still does look shaky when you have to wonder or when you begin wondering how long they will be around. You're not always going to have a Conor McGregor or a Ronda Rousey and you have to survive based on a deep talent pool and not just surviving because of a bunch of characters
It's a rainy/gloomy saturday morning. I partied last night and watched UFC 131. Nothing like waking up to two double strength Tylenols, breakfast and a hot cup of tea while watching a new Chael Sonnen video. I love my life
if you watch the preview commercails for the fight amanda nunes was talking about they were all about Ronda and how she was coming back
Its so true, media and promotion are both trying to optimize and make as much money as possible. Why would they purposely not promote someone who they could make money off of? Could it be that maybe the fighter is not pulling their weight? they need to step it up, give them (media, promotion) something to work with
Ok Keep the bigger videos coming Me like it
Get well soon uncle daddy chael
Chael is taking over
My legs fell asleep watching, Chael... gotta move more I guess
42 minutos of this, holy fuck this is going to be good
What about Zabit? No media, a few underground commentators predict him as the second coming, he gets a fluke spot on a main card, wins one fight, and he’s the next big thing.
TheDentist27 because he is fun to watch.....
Chael Sonnen the only MMA fighter with brain cells. A+++++
Chael is very on point here. Everone blames Dana for not promoting their favorite fighters enough, etc. While this may have been true in some cases like Rhonda Vs Nunes, after Nunes beat Rhonda, it's her opportunity to fire up that machine and run with it. Promote the hell out of yourself. Conor did this best of all so far. Colby is doing it now, although people are hating him more than liking him so it could backfire the moment he loses a fight. The Diaz Brothers are another perfect example. Nate was bare over 500 when he landed the Conor fight that changed his life and the entire game forever. But he promoted himself as a fan fav, and never had to win a belt to do it. It's all in how you handle yourself and promote yourself. It's the age of the internet and social media. Fighters can promote themselves easier than ever before in history. It's up to them.
Dana is trash. Ronda was never articulate or that appealing but they pushed the fuck out of her and created this invincible persona. Nate was not barely over 500 he was 18-10 and has been a fan favorite for a long time.
I don't disagree about Nate. I really like the Diaz Bros. But 18-10 is considered barely over 500. If he was 20-10 at the time, then there's an argument, but those two fights difference are a big deal in this sport where almost no one goes undefeated. I feel Nate should have had a better record but got robbed in one or two decisions, same with his brother. His brother has a much better record though.
regarding overeem, when asked about being on the undercard he was not concerned about it. he sees the pros and cons and knows the company has reasons for it.
Mousasi is one of my favorite fighters, but this talk applies to him. He never got a title shot while being one of the best, and it all came down to him losing the wrong fights. If he had stayed for another 3 or 5 years he would have been champion for sure (with the right PR). I do understand he made the jump to Bellator because he could earn more money without the Reebok Deal. But from a competitive point of view, would have loved to see him fight Rockhold, Romero and Whittaker. However Rory, Lima, Daley and perhaps MVP are interesting opponents too.
Chael? Would you like some shirt with that coffee?
Lmao i knew this was going to be a good one when i read that title
Hey Chael..
Tom brady was a 6th round draft pick underrated and under promoted i only knew so much about him cuz he went to michigan and that was my fave school but look at what that man did with his career he is the GOAT period no debate so fighters should look at that put the chip on there shoulder and use that to motivate them cuz whether you promoted or not if you WIN THE FIGHT they book you again whether they want to or not
Make a video about your dad and the race horses story mentioned in your book
when was kevin lee on the show?
Chael is the ultimate smart mark
This is true some of the greatest fighters are not necessarily the biggest fighters cause of the lack of fan connection. Go to the fans first.
If your good enough your work promotes its self. Be great at something and people will notice you
