  • About a year ago I started an incredibly stressful job in the public mental health field, and started a membership at my local climbing gym at the same time. I was instantly hooked by the mindful nature of climbing and it became my most important form of self care. I wanted to get better, so I took to KZhead for guidance and I found Magnus. This guy has inspired me and helped me with my climbing more than anyone and for that I’m so grateful! Thank you so much Magnus!!!

  • Woo, welcome to the bay! Pacific Pipe's the biggest climbing gym in the US, but for bouldering you've gotta check out Dogpatch Boulders back in SF proper too. It's got like 2x the bouldering square footage and even more interesting route setting (though I think the same route setters). Pacific Pipe is an awesome gym, but it's possible that Pacific Pipe has a higher rating than Dogpatch because it's brand new. While you're in town, I hope you can make it to Dogpatch!

  • Never climbed but watching your videos about an year already, they are addictive really, thanks for quality! As just an observer I can say how much power Anton is putting in where Magnus is doing it with half of that power (I can see the difference between the tension of their muscles), so I guess it's all about technic, not power. So keep trying Anton, you only need some practice, don't relate just on your power, but understanding where to push and where to release.

  • I don’t think that the music thing should’ve contributed to the scoring because it’s a commercial gym. If you were invited to film or if you asked all of the other customers for permission I’d say that it could be considered but it’s a public business after all.
