I always thought it didn't make sense to bring all those people on to an active warship that was heading to more battles. If you think about it since the city was only hit with an EMP, the area was not critically dangerous to the people. Besides the storm which happens basically every year anyways

2042 had the potential to be something that would forever be remembered as one of the greatest games in history. The lore, the hype and loyal community supporting it, 3 years if development time, 3 AAA teams, and no campaign to worry about. They had all the resources to make this truly remarkable...it's a shame.

They honestly didn't have all the resources. They had to spend a ton of time updating to the new engine that nobody was familiar with because a lot of the old devs (BF1 and earlier) had left the company for Embark Studios in early 2018. EA pushed those devs out by restricting creative freedom, and this is the price they pay. EA should have allowed dice to delay the game, but instead we got an unfinished game.

I believe in my opinion is because the reason why the game shattered into pieces at first launch is because I'm pretty sure that they were working on the campaign but then till the actor of Irish's death suddenly happened before launch, I feel like they've most likely suffered with severe damage to how much work they were bringing in the game that they had to remove the development of the campaign, the pandemic made them suffer too but I think the reason why they were rushing to bring the game out is because the fans were telling them to release it early and now everyone's complaining. "I'm just saying this as in my opinion so I may be wrong but I may have a point there"

Battlefield 2042 has two choices right now. Either the No Man's Sky of shutting up and buckling down to fix what is basically a broken game or the Final Fantasy 14 approach and just rebuild the game from the ground up to be what the fans wanted and expected.

@@dennisz1252 I saw that too but I don't think so, Recker has no reason to want revange, he wasn't betrayed by his country or something (at least up to what we know so far) but Hannah and Dima is another story I think especially Dima would fit perfectly he has reason to do it. But he was also killed in BF4 (unless Hannah is a medic that doesn't know how to check someone pulse). Hannah on the other hand was MIA. She was never actually killed

I just discovered today that the voice if Irish passed away recently. It's sad to find out that we'll never hear his voice again in future Battlefield projects, but Irish is a lovable character. I enjoyed his company during the Battlefield 4 campaign. Rest well Michael K. Williams. Thank you for bringing your incredible voice for an amazing character!

I always thought it didn't make sense to bring all those people on to an active warship that was heading to more battles. If you think about it since the city was only hit with an EMP, the area was not critically dangerous to the people. Besides the storm which happens basically every year anyways

You're absolutely right. The marketing was great, the game was not. Same as Cyberpunk 2077
Yeah, all was got was the same old same old multiplayer slogfest. I was looking forward to an actual campaign, but nooooo. That was too much to ask for.
2042 had the potential to be something that would forever be remembered as one of the greatest games in history. The lore, the hype and loyal community supporting it, 3 years if development time, 3 AAA teams, and no campaign to worry about. They had all the resources to make this truly remarkable...it's a shame.
They honestly didn't have all the resources. They had to spend a ton of time updating to the new engine that nobody was familiar with because a lot of the old devs (BF1 and earlier) had left the company for Embark Studios in early 2018. EA pushed those devs out by restricting creative freedom, and this is the price they pay. EA should have allowed dice to delay the game, but instead we got an unfinished game.
The people that built Battlefield all left. 2042 was doomed from the start. Few listened, and fewer knew the marketing were all lies.
No campaign is a bad factor
They also had covid and a completely new frost bite engine to adapt too.
A shame is that this exodus thing wasnt made into a history mode
over 7 years later we now know its cannon Irish lives

Man i play 2042 since launch, and game is actually good now, but coming back to watch this trailer now.. maaan the potential of this game to the best in the series, the potential of creating the best campaign in the series...the music, atmosphere, grittiness...why the hell we didn't get this type of a game???
I believe in my opinion is because the reason why the game shattered into pieces at first launch is because I'm pretty sure that they were working on the campaign but then till the actor of Irish's death suddenly happened before launch, I feel like they've most likely suffered with severe damage to how much work they were bringing in the game that they had to remove the development of the campaign, the pandemic made them suffer too but I think the reason why they were rushing to bring the game out is because the fans were telling them to release it early and now everyone's complaining. "I'm just saying this as in my opinion so I may be wrong but I may have a point there"

They should've done a campaign with Irish being the main playable character and the story about being a No-Pat with multiple endings. 1. if he chooses to side with the US or 2. side with the Russian Federation or better 3. questioning and going againt the Not-Pat ideology as a extreme flawed way to survive a ultimate natural disaster.
Every specialist in this game should have gotten own short-movie to compensate for lack of campaign

How Irish didn't get riddled with bullets hiding behind a thin car door that even cops know provides no cover? They could've moved the character a little to the left to get behind the engine block(like real soldiers would do).

Battlefield 2042 has two choices right now. Either the No Man's Sky of shutting up and buckling down to fix what is basically a broken game or the Final Fantasy 14 approach and just rebuild the game from the ground up to be what the fans wanted and expected.

@@AmericanSn1p3r Recker returning would be cool, but he was a blank slate character with no real development or personality. Gives them room to make something happen, but unlikely. As far as I'm aware, Irish is the only one from Tombstone still alive.
Some people are speculating that Oz is actually Recker.
@@dennisz1252 I saw that too but I don't think so, Recker has no reason to want revange, he wasn't betrayed by his country or something (at least up to what we know so far) but Hannah and Dima is another story I think especially Dima would fit perfectly he has reason to do it. But he was also killed in BF4 (unless Hannah is a medic that doesn't know how to check someone pulse). Hannah on the other hand was MIA. She was never actually killed

I just discovered today that the voice if Irish passed away recently. It's sad to find out that we'll never hear his voice again in future Battlefield projects, but Irish is a lovable character.
