Afghan Jihad (1979): A look back at the mujahideen who fought the Soviet-backed government of Afghanistan with US support, and who then fought against the NATO forces who invaded in 2001.
Subscribe to Journeyman here: kzhead.info_c...
In 1979, the mujahideen of Afghanistan rebelled against an Soviet-backed central government. The US threw its financial and technological resources behind the rebel movement, offering support in any way it could. As far back as 1979 in the remote Kumar Valley, the US was arming the likes Gulbuddin Hekmatyar and his organisation Hezb-e-Islami - the very group that would go on to wage a vicious counter insurgency against Allied forces in the 1990s and 2000s.

    • @@kyzersoze8408 Yes years ago. Have you seen how advanced the equipment is the US military is using? I have and I can tell you it's much much more than just pushing a button. You need intensive training just to be able to pull apart and clean it. And even if they could use it you mean they can just buy new ammo for all the weapon systems? Spare parts and all that... And frankly the only reason why soldiers from the west are using body armor is because 5.56 is a peashooter against 7.62×39mm. 7.62×39mm can blow through 74 centimeters of hardwood. The 5.56 is stopped by a donkey cart. Why do you think all those US soldiers died in battle even if they armored up like tanks? @Has1b@Has1b12 жыл бұрын
    • It’s a global phenomenon, people are people and all have a sense of honour. One of the portents of the approaching of the final hour is humans will be copulating in public, like animals. This is why it’s an issue when we see people go about wearing next to nothing in public.. we’re moving away from angelic practices to animalistic practices, greed for land and material things, vanity, lusting over whomever etc. The humans having free will if obeys God is given a status higher than angels, who obey God but have no free will. Humans who become animalistic become worse than even animals, at least animals only kill to survive themselves or their lineage, the humans who fight or tell others to fight for glory, worldly greed, pride, ego or entitlement in this world are considered amongst the worst. God have mercy on us.

What happened to afgans in the 1758 northwest campaign where they faced the wrath the sikhs and marathas. Sher shah suri got killed during kalinjar Siege against purbiya rajputs. What happened to the suri's 80000 army against 8000 rathore rajputs at sammel Battle. Remember saraghari battle 21 sikhs vs 10000 afgans fought for 7 hours. Rana sanga defeated Ibrahim lodi and thew him out of rajputana. Abdali despite winning panipat battle didn't go beyond delhi and retreated where marathas fought without food whereas abdali's troops were getting supplies from rohilkhand and had support of all muslim kingdoms So keep your talks to yourselves nobody can challenge kshatriya of hindustan. Taimur came and was thrown out by jograj singh gujjar Alexander came and got defeated by raja purshottam of punjab. • Osama bin Laden, America’s bogeyman, was recruited by the CIA in 1979 at the very outset of the US-sponsored jihad. He was 22 years old and was trained in a CIA-sponsored guerrilla training camp. The architects of the covert operation in support of “Islamic fundamentalism” launched during the Reagan presidency played a key role in launching the “Global War on Terrorism” in the wake of 9/11. President Ronald Reagan met the leaders of the Islamic Jihad at the White House in 1985 Under the Reagan administration, US foreign policy evolved towards the unconditional support and endorsement of the Islamic “freedom fighters”. In today’s world, the “freedom fighters” are labelled “Islamic terrorists”.

  • We lived in the capital city of Afghanistan, Kabul. In the early days of jihad against the communist regime, my dad used to raise funds for the struggle against the soviets. However when the foreign aid started to flow from Arabs and US through Pakistan, the mujahedeen leaders became corrupt and could easily be manipulated by Pakistan that has a land dispute with Afghanistan. Therefore, after the downfall of the central government in Kabul, these so called mujahedeen dissolved the army and fought against each other resulting in 70000 civilian deaths and destruction of major cities around the country until Taliban emerged and declared a new jihad against the corrupt Mujahideen in 1996. Taliban were defeated by former corrupt mujahedeen with the help of US and the consequent invasion by NATO that resulted in a new jihad.

  • Like many other wars in the world history, one has to look at how it happened and evolves into today formidably violent and resilient insurgencies. It started with many victims of the conflicts, then the barbaric and fundamentalists takes over, oppressing and extorting the miserable civilians even more to gain strengths, fighting men to resist, destabilize, and in some cases even win the wars. These hard core fighters' determination are unparalleled that foreign occupation forces should learn before they get involved.

Tariq Aziz, Saddam Hussein's foreign minister, was a Christian, but he died in prison because he was working with Saddam Hussein's government, which was rejecting American policy in the Middle East. The issue is not related to religion. America and Europe want to impose their policy on the world.
