3 Pandas in Japan - What happens if you fail Tamagochi minigame?

This video shows an way to fail an level in this game that most people missed in their casual playthrough.
Basically, if do nothing at all for an minute at the start of the tamagochi level (Level 12), the small panda will actually get dazed out of energy and a "Game Over" text appears, complete with the failure sound playing and restarting the level afterwards.
Note that this only happens if the energy bar is empty when you don't press any promt buttons for an minute before it changes. Otherwhise, if you choose the wrong one, the bar won't fill up, but stays the same.
