Volodymyr Zelenskyy's full 2023 60 Minutes interview in Ukrainian

2023 ж. 16 Қыр.

Language translation is more art than science. Different translators have varied opinions of words and their meaning. For last week's interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we used the services of three independent interpreters of the Ukrainian language. The first translation occurred in the moment, simultaneously, during the interview. Later, a second translator watched the entire interview on video and translated Ukrainian to English verbatim. In the final editing process, a third translator sat with us and verified the edits that are always necessary for clarity and concision. At some points in our story, when phrases in English and Ukrainian did not match each other in length, we made the best effort possible to convey Mr. Zelenskyy's comments with precision and context. As a service to Ukrainian speakers, we are posting the interview in its entirety.

  • The president did not mention the superiority of the fascist russian aviation in the front line, when the helicopters fly in and drop the deadly cargo, but Ukraine has no available weapons to destroy them. This is evidenced by the small number of downed helicopters. The lack of proper aviation is one of the main factors behind the slow pace of the Ukrainian attack. Air superiority is one of the key elements of the US military's attack. I would like to see how the USA "attacks" without aviation.

Because if Russia knew nato and the USA were holding training excercises in ukraine, putin would have called this war off.

    • or how about Ukraine not set up on Russias border with NATO, aka practically forcing Putin, and Russia's hand into retaliating. Let me ask you a question, If China set up military operations, and was backed by the Russian dollar, and set up a military compost with thousands of troops, at the Mexican border down south in Arizona, do you think for one second the US wouldn't respond? Think logically on that question, and don't answer it with emotion, and bias. There was a treaty in place with Russia, and Ukraine, and it was broken, point blank. Call Putin what you want, these are just the facts.

Ukrainians are very well educated, many understand English well, such things do not go through here. Tried to find full English version on CNBC but there is only a shameful 13min cut.
