What I really like about the O5 Council, is that there's a theory which explain that 05-13 is actually a totally normal human, with no anomaly whatsoever, and he's just there to make the other remember what is "normal" to the public eyes, where everyone else is abnormal on the council. And, there's a prolongation with some of the most recent members of the council who find O5-13 so normal that he looks abnormal. Bruh.

Keep in mind the "Administrator" is more than just a figurehead, they're the only individual in the foundation that has access to Clearance Level 6. They're one level above the Council. There are theories that The Administrator is a member of the O5 Council and not separate. There are also theories about how The Administrator is the individual who founded the Foundation circa 14th century.

How cool would it be to see a trilogy of movies about the SCP universe? o.O
A trilogy of movies would be really hard to explain the story. I’d say give it to a studio with the budget of Disney, make it an MCU style universe and bam profit. Ideas for me - Short stories about capturing SCPs (monster of the week style streaming series, something akin to Supernatural or the X Files) - Streaming series about SCP 3008 (infinite IKEA). It can showcase life inside the IKEA and the differing communities. (Something like Game of Thrones) - An anthology series that deals with regular people’s different encounters with SCPs (Something like the early Resident Evil games) - Series that deal with the other organizations in the SCP Universe - Dr Bright movies These series can then crossover for a big event

@@pelicanchampion8629 Agreed, they need to do all the things but unlike the MCU they need to keep it all together instead of one medium like movies just ignoring and pushing away everything else. SCP in that sense would work a lot better for such a thing since a lot of its content is rather vague and disconnected. Even the vid we just watched had sooo much wiggle room you could show the same 05 member 7 different ways without contradicting yourself or falling into plotholes. If anything it would only make the mystery more interesting and let the fans all guess at whats going on and who is who.

Guys I have an O5-7 headcanon. Her mom worked for the foundation and pressured her into working for it. (The mom’s one great dream was that her daughter would be on the O5 Council one day) She gained her position by nuking the site she worked at following a devastating containment breach. (Her mom and the previous O5-7 were killed in the process.)
Love the 05 council, the oroboros cycle is one of my fav SCP tales. The idea of the ones running this anomaly-containment empire being anomalies themselves is just some wonderful poetic irony

I've been interested in the SCP universe lately, especially the stories of the Foundation itself. When I searched for the O5 Council, there was little to no content here. So this video is really a treat for me. Thank you SCP Explained!

I am a mere Junior Researcher, however, I know someone who has met one of the O5, specifically O5-3. He said that 3 is "Some kind of Germanic, probably German or Austrian" yet speaks "perfect, almost native born" English.
I wish we got to see what clearance level each scp was at the beginning of every video or at what security clearance specifically unlocks which details( like in the scp 1000 video)
I like the theory that O5-13 is just some nobody. A regular person they pulled off the street because they've gotten so anomalous and powerful, they don't know what a real anomaly is anymore. So they as this person "does this seem strange to you?" and follow their advice
Well the SCP-001 contains a non anomalous book called Consensus Reality. The book is written by the SCP O-5 council and can only be altered by a unanimous vote by all O-5s. If anything not written in the book is discovered the SCP Foundation locks it up. Consensus Reality is what the majority public generally believed to physically exist because of SCP propaganda. So, it helps the O-5 recognize what is and is not anomalous.
13’s job is basically to decide the general properties of anomalies and what constitutes them.

The O5 Council is one of the two legislative bodies of the SCP Foundation and is the most senior of the two. The O5 Council is responsible for the entire foundation and can pass laws, generally approving them from the Administrative Assembly.

I'm fairly certain one of the O5 can foresee the future, or at least knows things about possible futures. They react very strangely to some situations, and it always leads to the right outcome; that can't be just luck.

Also if the authors wanted to give an example of the O5 Council's intrigs, you could tell about the tale "The High Court With The Magic Army" or the assassination of the Administrator in SCP-001 - The Children.
Should I say how lazy this video is? O5 Command Dossier contains information about 66 (!) potential members of the O5 Council. Yet the authors barely scratched the surface.

Viewing the page seemingly places you in the shoes of O5-12, as he navigates past login prompts and enters file access commands to delve deeper into expunged information about the phenomenon of “déjà vu”. After a string of contradictory files, you finally arrive at one from the year 2035 that simply says “Data Forgotten”, followed by blank space and the phrase, “Wake up O5-12. / Remember what we did.” To access the full truth, you have to click “Remember data”, and doing so will greet you with a letter by O5-12, addressed to O5-12 (I think?).
