It's really nice to see the faces behind the vocals provided for all of his songs
The awesome thing is Dan is a legendary bluegrass singer, he was George Clooneys singing voice in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (Dan's wife loved it, telling him: "George Clooneys face with your voice coming out? That's my fantasy!") By Avicii and Dan collaborating they each turned a bit of their audience on to the other :)
they were not only "his" the other "faces" collaborated with Tim to make the amazing vocals and rhythm. RIP brother
@@nartron3000 Luckily, Tim knows who to bring along to complement his voice! May Avicii rest in peace.
@@NerdFromDenmark Dan was part of Alison Krauss's Union Street Band. They had big hits in the 90s on the US country charts.
Not all the songs :(
Avicii, we really miss you brother..

LEGENDS NEVER DIES 🤚🏼💖
Dan looks like a dad who jumped up on stage because he thought they needed help and nailed it
Wish I could give your comment a thousand likes and believe Avicii would so totally approve!
Avicii painted this song, using the instruments to set up the canvas, and Dans voice was the paintbrush that made the painting come to life🥹
He probably works at Home Depot (jk)
I love how incredibly out of place he looks. Couldn't be better.
Dan Tyminski is an amazing Bluegrass/Americana singer and player. Sings w/ Allison Krauss & Union Station. Far from an amateur. Avicii knew what he was doing using him.
So glad that this concert happened weeks before the events of the COVID-19 went globally
Was it Close ?

Man! Avicii really did pick the best singers for his songs!
Hey there, I recomend you searching for a video called “ Dan Tyminski - Hey Brother Live” here on KZhead, where the singer explains how Tim got in contact with him.
Yes, that's true
True
Music talent! Genius.

This is a brilliant song. The blending of two seemingly disparate genres of music making a whole that is amazing.

@@piedepewget out of here with that negativity.
When they first released this song and I realized it was Dan Tyminski on vocals, I straight up did a double take. I never expected a bluegrass legend to show up in popular electronic music.
avicii used to say that if your song can't be played acoustically then it wasn't a good song. He used to surround himself with the best singers (voices, talent and no name) to make his songs 🖤
Probably one of Tim’s best melodies and arrangements along with sang vocals. Makes me cry knowing there’s no more coming....
Why did you have to remind us of that?!
The world needs to be reminded to check on the ones they love 😊❤️

Hey Brother should be played across the country at least once a day, with stations everywhere launching it all at the same time. This beautiful song could inspire love in people's hearts.
People don't get it.
I do agree with you wholeheartedly and I think it should be taken one step further I think that it should go across the water across the pond we need to show our brothers and sisters in arms like that dire straits song Brothers in arms a very poignant song also! That song too should be played once an hour on the hour it should be played for the ukrainians as well and the Russian boys they're having to go against their will the whole world sucks everybody's in some kind of war be it in their mind in their house my heart breaks right now
Yes, just simply yes 🙌
Well, it was played during the Hockey matches of 2021 Tokyo Olympics, whenever a team scored a goal. (Only exception was that when India scored a goal, Chak de India was played)

Its interesting how one man's ability to make music touches people to their most unique emotions at such a huge scale. I will never forget avicii as an artist in my lifetime.

There’s nothin’ in this world I wouldn’t do. My heart is crying.
You’re a cute boy.
My nostalgia hasn't hit as hard as listening to this song, makes me sad 😭 I do miss him
Dan Tyminski, the vocalist, is a Bluegrass artist who's mainly worked with Alison Krauss. He's also the singing voice to George Clooney's character in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (2000). He's a dad in real life, which explains his "dad" look. He's a country boy where it's about the art of the music sound and not how you look!
Precious information thank you
Country boy from Vermont, the heart of the south!
@@loganhembree7916 : No matter what part of the Appalachians you are part of the culture! :)
Big dad vibes from a 2014 article -> After texting his daughter Kathryn, 20, to see if she knew of Avicii, Tyminski was in. “She just went crazy. Her level of excitement raised my interest dramatically.”
Love his voice
Avicii, you'll always be remembered
🇸🇪💪❤️
Besides "Hey Brother", Dan Tyminski is best known in the U. S. for two things: Being the singing voice of George Clooney on "Man of Constant Sorrow" in the Coen Bros. movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou", and as a member of Alison Krauss and Union Station for over 20 years (lead and backing vocals; guitar and mandolin). Multiple Grammy winner, and one of the best bluegrass musicians working today.
Paul W. Woodring thank you
And a proud son of West Rutland, Vermont.
That's why I recognized him. Did he originally sing this ??
@@protectoroffaith That was my understanding. The first I knew of this is when I saw Alison Krauss and Union Station in concert in May of 2014 (they opened for Willie Nelson), and Alison mentioned his performance on that recording when she introduced him. He later did a very short version of it in a medley near the end of the concert.
@@paulw.woodring7304 that's cool
I love the fact that I don’t see a lot of people on there phone recording the show but instead enjoying the show I love that 🥰♥︎
No offence, but people can still be recording the show and enjoy it. It's a moment they want to remember, so of course they would record it. I see so many comments saying "so many people on their phones it's disgusting blah blah blah" but why wouldn't they record it? They paid to see something they enjoy, and they enjoy it enough to record it.
Maccamizer yeah, but sometimes people focus so much on their recording that they can’t really just soak it in. I like recording short clips every now and then, but keeping my phone away for most of the show.

He used the vocals of true artists without any autotune ❤️❤️
Are you passing a hint to Alan Walker?😏
Unfortunately there is loads of autotune on the original. But Dan Tyminski can sing in tune ver well, so I don't know why they used it.
For haters, his tribute concert proved that there's no autotune intended in his music
And somehow they still find a way to say “his pitch wasn’t exactly the same as the song” like some hating mfs
If he wasn't stressed out like he was we might still have had him
Papa Baah his manager pressed him very much
@Laurent i agree
@Gunner Storm Tim's father has stated he suffered from depression and anxiety even before he got into music
Gunner Storm He was struggling with his mental health from the beginning. It wasn’t a product of his career, he already had issues since his teenage. His family has been open about it. Although he developed quite a few health problems during his time in the industry, I believe he could’ve survived them. Plus, I don’t think you understand the concept of depression. You don’t just grow out of it. It is very ignorant of you if you believe that. And NOBODY’S blaming Tim. We all know he was pushed past his limits and he probably would’ve stayed longer if it wasn’t for his management. But with the level of mental torment he was going through, I don’t think he would’ve hung around very long. If he took such a drastic measure, I would say he had already thought quite a lot about it, it wasn’t a spur of the moment thing. He was very observant and thoughtful. And if you listen to all of his music, right from the start, you’d definitely understand that he wasn’t well. All of his music is a plea of help, and speaks of his troubles. I’m just blown away by how we didn’t realise this from the very start. It all unraveled in front of our eyes, in front o& millions o& people and we couldn’t do anything.
Oskar Hulten don’t blame his manager. He organised all of his tributes and payed for them himself. All the money from the tributes went straight to Tim’s family. :’)

It’s the tribute concert for avicii, so basically his last concert ever. Pretty special place to be at to not give a good reaction

Well it’s not everyday that u perform to 50k people in a foreign country😂
This man has such a great voice, and the way he performs and dresses here, in such effortless and low key, normal manner, amazing...
Finally we can see the faces behind those great voices that accompanied Avicii in his songs. I'm not a total fan of the electronic genre, but I do like several songs, and what Avicii did was very innovative in my humble opinion, because he expanded the genre by mixing it with classic styles like bluegrass or folk among others. Nothing to do with the rest of what I'm saying but I love that girls face at 0:39. Gorgeous!
The girl at 3.27 is gorgeous too! Such a cute, adorable smile!

This song reminds me of a really good friend I had when I was a kid, we pretty much lived together, there was nothing we weren't willing to do for each other, sadly he passed away when I was 14, it hurt like a kick in the balls, I haven't stopped thinking about him ever since he passed away. This is Avicii's best song for me
Great way to describe the pain brother
