  • Last one was probably my favourite! It was so amazing to watch 19 of the strongest climbers in the world fail to climb it and then #20 comes out and does it 🤯

    • Me too! And a great reminder that pure power boulders can still split up world class boulderers if set well!

    • @@impactroutesetting but to be realistic if worldcups really were decided based on power alone Flohe would win all of them. Boulders like that are way too rare nowadays to represent the sport

  • I am an incredibly mediocre climber who struggles on v4s and can occasionally do v5s, but these people have inspired me to try my hardest to reach their level one day. I’m making progress as well, and climbing is all I think about now besides Elden Ring

  • The Brixen boulder done by Max Milne was my favourite of the year. That boulder looked incredible.

  • 6:53 Lee Dohyun's top of this boulder is the one that has always stuck in my mind. IIRC, he was the first one to actually get stood up on those volumes, and his subsequent excitement when he topped it just made it even more memorable for me.

  • Saw brixen semis and finals live from brixen, gotta say flohes problem at the end was absolutely insane, so was milnes finals one, he absolutely crushed that last move, beautiful

  • With all the evolution that the sport had over the last years I just think the camera angles and the multicamera directors could improve for a better enjoyment of the sport at home.

    • I know right? I swear, it's like they're trying to find an inconvenient zoom in or out in every single comp, when we're trying to see how they manage to position themselves for a move, or if they caught something, but then there is a 20 second zoom in on their no-reaching hand or on their face, or a zoom out so far you can't make out anything. Ugh

  • But what about W4 in the Seoul finals? That feet first start and super powerful and tricky middle with a real fight just to get to the zone was incredible! Oriane Bertone's scream of victory and relief when she tops it is the best! Also Brooke and Natalia being absolute beasts but in their own unique way was just great to see.

  • There's something for everyone, but men's climbing is too dynamic/monotonous for me, 4 out of 4 boulders ver dynamic in the men's finals, I get it's the direction sports climbing is going in, but I'm not really fond of it.
