Obviously is not for close range, but my concern is that sometimes the projectile explode at the exact moment you shoot it
I made the same mistake.
When I first shot it I thought it being hit by robot’s rocket then exploded on my face
It’s definitely got a few bugs in it right now but once those are taken care of it’s definitely going to be good for when there’s to many enemies like last night I killed around 20-30 bots with one shot because there was just so many dropping in on me and my team
@@bryx309d Well the “proximity” part of the projectile detonation is working a little too well I’d say
The fact that a weapon working as intended 4 times in a row is something worth not only a clip, but even a full feature on a YT compilation just shows how bad things have to be for the SPEAR
At least the Spear is better than the Airburst Launcher in that it doesn't kill its user when it fails to work properly.
What the hell does the air bust launcher kill when it works properly? Only played bots but it's horrible@@CharlesUrban
@@CharlesUrban @isaacMSingleton1 The Spear is an excellent Gunship killer, 1-shots the Factory-Strider's turret, and can blow up bot fabricators from any angle(presuming you can get a lock). It locks on better from the high ground, or against aerial targets(don't bother shooting at dropships, it hits the belly instead of a thruster). It has effectively unlimited range(assuming you can get line of sight on the target).
Eveything the airburst does is done better by other strats, but cool factor always wins. Whyd they even pit the anti tank mines against it
@@Mihomiti yes just started using the spear this morning and it's pretty awesome, still has some lock on issues but it's alot more reliable then I thought it would be. Being able to bring down a bile titan from 100 meters away is pretty good.

Congratulations, now you officially have a weapon that reloads even slower AND is less reliable than the Spear.
Gun is horrible, it kills you and your teammates from a long ass distance and doesn't even kill the bot it explodes next to
I love how people coming to watch funny moments and plays complain about the fact that we have a portable cluster bomb that will make a shit tom more of these moments

I just hit Scull Admiral this week. Was doing a lv4 with three cadets yesterday showing them the ropes like going prone when you catch on fire, or doing the main objective last to avoid extra patrols.
I swear for as violent and bloody as this game is, I've never giggled more from deadly shenanigans 🤣

One time while using the spear, i had a lockon bug but not the usual one. I had instalock for a whole backpack worth of rocket, killed 2 bile titan and a charger :D. I've never been more happy to use the spear.
Wait til the Ministry of Truth tells us that dissidents have been switching the Helldivers' armor insulation material with acrylic based ones to instantly catch fire.
I finally got my Eruptor earlier and can't wait to try it out in the field. I also wish I'd gotten the EMS Morter sentry sooner. That thing is really handy.
The cutter warbond has some useful stun grenades.

Used the grenade launcher today without even realising it was the personal order and got it on the first mission lol so confusing when that happens

When the spear locks on like that it turns you into a believer. When it happens and you have 2 players using it the same match then it becomes something else entirely.

If you ask me, they should reduce the instant dmg fire does, increase its dmg over time and let it stagger. Maybe not for Hulks but for Players.
Agreed. Fire is instant death. You can't even stim in time. Me and a squad of randos just agreed to that sentiment.
Yeah. In a session last night I got ever so briefly tickled by the very end of a hulk flame burst and still instakilled me.
It would be awesome if we could get a tamed charger vehicle stratagem. Imagine riding one of those into battle, would make you feel like a proper space cowboy.
