Funny thing is, after doing sound design for Star Wars, Ben Burtt never wanted to do a movie with robots in it ever again. Until Pixar told him about Wall E (even recorded more sounds for wall e than for Star wars). Really shows how spectacular this movie is
I get why, WALL-E robots are so much more expressive and characterized, where in Star Wars they're kind of just comic relief with computer beeps and power tool sounds.

Wasn't there a scene before the credits rolled where we could see more plants growing just beyond the city where the Axiom landed? Life was probably already sustainable then, it's just that it took a lot of effort (and one singular plant that just happens to be growing in the general search area) for everyone else to notice.

I like how after Eve shot that robot, WallE was actually confused on why it was organic
That is weird, I expected to be oil(it's color is often depicted as black, and oil is essential the typical lifeblood of robots). Another question is why EVE is holding a shotgun? In fact, why even bother using it when you are equipped with an extremely powerful ion cannon that essentially destroys everything in its path.

The ending where everyone dies was actually accurate. In real life the lack of exercise and the fact that they suffered from extreme muscle athropy cuz they where so reliant on robots to do everything for they would have left them unable to fend for themselves and die.
Artificial gravity should have simulated Earth's gravity, so that wouldn't have been a problem. It's the lifetime of muscle atrophy that would have done it
They were out there for about 700 years if I’m remembering correctly; the captain said that the day WALL-E and EVE made it to the ship that it was the 700th anniversary of the 5 year trip (lol-)

Ok this has to be one of the funniest recaps you've ever done. Really lampshaded the way Pixar made things kid friendly when they probably wouldn't have really turned out that way. I lost it when Wall-E didn't help that other dying Wall-E. The timing on that was so perfect

@@ijkdenem I mean, true to the film, just happened off screen. He had extra parts in the big garage to replace his treads and eye piece - where else would they come from? And the movie does illustrate in old footage that there were dozens of WALL E units cleaning the earth at one time, ours is basically the last of his robotic kind.

Sometimes when I see the tag “not made for kids” I forget I’m not a child and panic for 0.0009 seconds
I think wall-e killed all the other wall-e robots. You find them in poses a sentient robot would die in. He’s scrapping them for parts. They are made to have their parts replaced. They are built to detect and fear sandstorms. The shelter protects them from the sandstorm. No complete bodies are in the shelter (maybe because they didn’t get inside in time but ok) The door can be closed from inside. They must have had a stockpile of replacement parts for a time but then it ran out. In a fight for survival wall-e locked the others outside and let them die in the sandstorm, wall-e now survives off of their dead bodies.
I love the part where he finds the plant in then trips over the power saw cable.

Although I have not yet seen it, I still don’t get why the videotape would only play clips instead of the whole thing. Still, I think Wall-e is an eclectic robot to collect literally everything from all walks of life and from all different eras of culture. Anyways, my parents are boomers.
