He is a big guy that cuts weight well, he is naturally big for the division so likely has bigger tendons/ligaments/muscle in the neck area which does help with chin. Just because his neck doesn't look bulky doesn't mean it isn't strong. For example myself and a friend used the Tanita body composition analyser at uni to check what our segmental muscle mass was. We were similar in weight but he is 5 inches shorter and appears visibly more muscular than me/stocky. But in fact i had more muscle on every part of my body but because i am longer it is more spread out. That being said i agree Smith has a decent defence, a combination of high guard and waist movement (the waist movement is a pretty new element to Smiths game which i think is an improvement, i think he only used it out of necessity tbh but i do think he should stick with it).

You don't see many zebras dying of old age in the wild. It is very rare that a lion, tiger, or crocodile would get mortally wounded or even scratched while hunting zebras down; they're (the zebras, that is) generally very cooperative.

    • sometimes in a fight when one fighters have a large disadvantage on paper, when it comes to reach and height, it can play as an advantage, because canelos punch’s are shorter and more efficient, that’s how mike tyson was so successful, he was small for heavy weight, but he was tight, and had a phenomenal style to complement it, this is the same thing here
