Yeah it was a cleaver instead during the swinging frames, I guess cause the wider blade gives a nice looking movement 'trail'? So buttery smooth.

It's actually a cut out piece of aluminum! Went to a metal shop and bought a big pane of aluminum to use as different metal smears :D

Fun fact: I go to an art college and are on an animation course. We’re currently learning about stop motion animation and this exact video (along with a few other works of yours) was shown to us by the teacher for examples of cool stuff we could do with stop motion. I just find that pretty neat.
