SpaceX Preparations on Starship Flight 4 launch schedule! New problems...SpaceX Weekly #4
These calm days at Starbase might just be the calm before the storm. Even though the testing with S29 and B11 has tapered off recently, it doesn't mean that nothing is happening. SpaceX is still actively upgrading systems from the test site to the launch site in preparation for upcoming plans, starting with Flight 4. So let's take a flyover of Starbase on today's episode of Great SpaceX to see what they've been up to over the past few days in anticipation of the exciting times ahead.
SpaceX Preparations on Starship Flight 4 launch schedule! New problems...SpaceX Weekly #4
Let's first go over the activities at the Massey Test Site. Right now, construction of the flame trench at the test stand systems is in full swing. Towards the end of last month, two sections of the water-cooled manifold system were delivered to Starbase. And just at the start of this month, the final section joined them. With all sections now on site, installation kicked off promptly.

Last week, cranes were bustling with activity at the site. A sizable block, likely part of the flame bucket, was hoisted by a crane and carefully maneuvered into place beside the trench. With the flame holes already excavated, it seems this component is poised for integration into the main system in the near future.

  • What if, instead of refueling, there is an additional stage rocket that attaches to the main and uses that stage as a booster in space to get to the desired destination?

    @stewartsanborn181@stewartsanborn181Ай бұрын
    • The refuel is important but I really like the idea of placing boosters in orbit for missions or emergency. We know somewhere in the future there will be a mishap that will cost life. But you know Apollo 13 was a great triumph and that was with no emergency hardware available.

  • Seems like tumbling would be better than accelerating for fuel transfer. It wouldn't affect your orbit and you could get more Gs without wasting a bunch of fuel.

The returning Mars Starships could be left in high earth orbit and the returning astronauts could be ferried back to earth by the Dream Chaser or something similiar

    • He isn't any closer to achieving what he contracted to do with NASA. He wants to risk the launch pad on unproven engines. You couldn't make this up. This is why musk is now America's other unstable stable genius. Go check out his contracted timeline and see what you can find that is compliant with the contract. NASA isn't as stupid as muskrats, and they are looking to replace their mistake with something fit for purpose. Where's the tortoise, give it your best guess Thom.

  • If the QD on the booster was mounted higher the forces it would be subjected to would be less. Also if the QD was designed in a more vertical linear way the forces would also be less. A vertical alignment of the QD on the Booster/Starship would also be more conducive to fuel transfer in space on a round rocket. My hydrodynamics is lacking in this area but don't liquids turn into gasses with less gravity? Come to Jesus as 1 day to cross the Sun's ecliptic is as 1,000 years of the precession of the sun's shadow to cross the magnetic equator of the Sun's fermie cells alpha omega equinoxes. Gobekli tepe was buried by 19 east to west tidal deluges the last time we crossed 12-13,000 years ago.

For months I've been listening to the person reading the script for each video and he sounds like Trump when he repeats random words,. He isn't doing it to emphasize a point. It truly sounds like you are stitching together parts of the monolog. If you are stitching sentences together that's fine but try to eliminate the redundant words. Work smarter not harder!

  • His employees didn't seem even remotely motivated to cheer musk's next -brainfart- stage of his vision that they have to achieve for him, not even once through the entire performance of his -ketamine- visions. A bit like the ability to get the booster back in one piece after three failures in a row. in the last failure it was traveling over Mach one as it disintegrated in the air, it didn't even manage to crash into the sea. He told us Starships, plural, would be on Mars by now and so far, his Starship hasn't survived either any of the tests either, that's a lot of engines destroyed, just as well it is the American taxpayer that is footing the bill, eh? What fuel demo, we never saw any fuel test that NASA has paid SpaceX for. Why not show us the timeline you are contracted to with NASA and what you have actually achieved. You don't need to Thunderf00t has already done that just in case you didn't. smh.

No large project goes from start to finish without a few hiccups and those who work on these projects necessarily do so with optimism which might lead them to give overly optimistic predictions.
