  • It was a top game back in the day. Iugoslavia had a great team. I celebrated Alfonso’s goal with my father. It was one of our best games until our golden years in EURO 2008, WORLDCUP 2010 and EURO 2012.

Ušao sam samo da prokomentarisem, jer iako sam bio mali svega se napamet sećam, pogotovu onog usranog sudije koji je pustio da se igra čak sedam minuta nadoknade bez ikakvog razloga i čim je Alfonso dao gol on je svirao kraj! Takvu namestaljku nisam video ni u našoj srpskoj ligi! Čoveče to je bila očigledna kraja naočigled milionskog auditorijuma i niko to nije ni pomenuo, a sad fifa ili uefa nam nešto pametuju i kažnjavaju nas sramota! Jebena stoka, a kakvu smo tad reprezentaciju imali!!!

  • Este partido lo vimos en la casa de la playa con mis amigos, cuando marcó Alfonso salimos a la calle a celebrarlo, mi amigo Antonio de la emoción le pegó una patada al aire con tanto ímpetu que la chancla (COOL) del pie derecho se le salió, fue a parar al tejado del apartamento de al lado y mi amigo tuve que volverse en la Vespino con una chancla nada mas. He vuelto a ver la chancla el verano pasado, todavía sigue en el tejado de mi vecino.

  • Fun Fact due to Spain winning this match Spain ended up first in the group and Yugoslavia second. Because of that Spain ended up facing France the eventual winners of the euro with zidenine zidane. So really even if the penalty was absolutely non existent Spain kinda helped Yugoslavia as they faced Netherlands instead(Although that match ended pretty bad for Yugoslavia)

  • I remember this game as it stands out as been a fantastic game. Two very talented teams and technically excellent. It was attack after attack. Not sure who got sent off but Michalovic was a dirty player. One of the dirtiest I've ever seen.

  • Raúl tuvo la desgracia de jugar en la temporada equivocada. Llevaba un equipo a la espalda con Paco, Alfonso, Helguera, Salgado, Mendieta... Imagínese a Raúl Gonzales en su mejor momento jugando junto a Xavi, Iniesta, Xabi Alonso, Busquets, Puyol, David Villa. Sería aún más imbatible.

  • Although the end really stank (narrow Spanish victory had both teams advance), it was a great game to watch. Serbia-Montenegro (which was really "Yugoslavia" in 2000) had an amazing team back then...

    • Not at all. Spain played high level football in 2002 wc. They scored 9 goals just in their first 3 matches. If the refferes didnt steal them againsts South Korea they definitely would have reached the final by beating Germany

    • Con bemoles no se ganan títulos. Antes con pasar de cuartos ya era un premio. Siempre ilusionados al principio y decepcionados otra vez al final, ya casi acostumbrados... hasta 2008!

  • Više materrijala za fudbalsku reportažu u jednoj utakmici nego danas na deset utakmica " top " klase . Svi igrači za razliku od aktuelnih imaju fudbalske noge i sportski grudni koš . Ovi danas bi gubili duele sa Bambijem , sreća pa se on ne takmiči .
