Music Synchronized Roller Coaster (Front Seat POV)

I've synchronized Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture to the full length of a Roller Coaster. The coaster twists and turns with the music, as well as triggering special effects that match the beat. The sound of the cannons are coming from the music, not the roller coaster (Tchaikovsky was a madlad). This was a challenging project because the rides in Planet Coaster do not always run at the same speed. I found that the timing changed based on changes to my CPU load or graphics settings. In total, I spent over 90 hours making this video.
The quality of this video was upscaled from HD to 4k because KZhead grants higher bitrates at this quality. I also think it solves some audio shifting issues.
If you'd like to explore the roller coaster and try it out, I post the map files for my patrons:
/ doodlechaos
Note: The music is not integrated into the map itself, but must be run externally. I used VLC so I could fine tune the speed if there was any lag in the game and I needed the music to slow down or catch up.

  • Everyone talks about how there’s real cannons used in the piece, but no one talks about how it’s meant to be “authentically” played only in either St. Petersburg or Moscow, and feature every single church in the city ringing their bells at the same time on cue.

If you wouldn't die, your bones might become the milk in the milkshake that your bones would make with your muscles, but, it would be fun, by the time you finish the velocity change, you won't have much of a brain left to feel all of these stuff, you'd die happy One might say, you'd become a Twisted Spoon :)))

    • @ChocoGamin3 Yes this was to symbolise the army of Napoleon invading Russia, then the Russian burn all the food and the French were forced to go back. France and USA always fight together in all wars (or one after the other in VietNam!), they are friend and that's the reason of the present of the Statue of Liberty. That was for your "thing to learn today"! ;-)

  • This is just staggering. What a work of art... I'm at a loss at the comments around here about how they'd want to ride this , or why would you not want to build this, whether it's dangerous or not...you're missing the points, dudes! The point is that this guy built a rollercoaster in Planet Tycoon to synchronize with a 4 minutes piece of music, and he NAILED IT!. The pacing, the feeling, the cannons, the theme, everything to perfection. Not a beat missed. I can only imagine how painstaking must've been to not only design the rollercoaster to keep the pacing right, but to add all the things in the proper spots and to fire at the exact precise time in order for this to work. This is mad genius, and I'm really sorry to see so many people in the comment section missing the point of the video and the rollercoaster so much. This work deserves better appreciation, imho...
