The expert for this week’s masterclass is Dr Mushtaq Hussain. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science, SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University. He teaches International relations and Political Theory there. He has obtained Ph D., in west Asian studies from the School of International Studies, JNU. His Specialization is in Palestinian Conflict.
His Research Interests are; the Israel-Palestine Conflict, the Role of religion in International Relations, and Diplomacy in West Asia. He is also a Recipient of the Israel Government Scholarship in 2012-13.
Dr Mushtaq also recommended some books, movies and documentaries to better understand Israel.

  • Initially I thought its too long and will complete in pieces. But, once I started I could not stop until the end. The knowledge and the way Dr. Mushtaq explained, is excellent. Really the word is "Guru" for him.

  • Its surprising you missed one of biggest event, when Hazrat Omar(Second Caliph of Islam) conquered Palestine in 637 AD, he signed a treaty with romans that Jews can now worship and visit in Jerusalem after 500 years. Before they were banned by Romans.

Early Muslims used to pray facing Al Aqsa Mosque…. During the prayer Mohammad pbuh received instructions from Allah/God to change the position to face Kaaba/Mecca.

  • Excellent analysis !! But the only thing which needs to be corrected (58:41) is the First Jewish temple was destroyed by Babylonians during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar and not by Romans, in 587 BC.

  • I've been diving into IDF / Mossad army videos on your channel and beyond, watching nearly all your content, documentaries, and reading related books. From what I've gathered, it seems like there's a strong focus on glorifying the IDF / Mossad army without acknowledging a crucial point: they haven't independently fought any wars. It's the unwavering support from the USA that backs them every step of the way. There are numerous armies that excel beyond them, like the Indian army, which, despite limited resources, showcases remarkable performance worth exploring and admiring.

  • Good talk. Here is my critical comment for this video: Mostly oriented towards Israel and somehow indirectly empathizing with Israel actions and the words coming from a Muslim research scholar makes it more convincing. Conveniently skipping the atrocities, injustice, lie , no regards for later UN resolution and a blind support on their back by the USA, UK and European union which actually makes them powerful. I wish a similar episode on the similar topic from a non muslim research scholar describing all the atrocities and crimes of Western powers and Israel done on Palestinians.

What the Delhi Professor should also understand that in 1947, 22% Muslims of Undivided Bharat were given 30% land,leaving 3crores Muslims & 3 crores of Hindus in Pakistan. What an injustice was done to Hindus in total. Is these details are given in our text books.
