When I can't tell if it's a nerf or a buff, I say that it is a "rework". The tower simply becomes different.
I would say it is a nerf because it no longer do fortified bloons which sucks late game
Even the price buff it's still not worth it
It have better towers than boom blitz for even cheap price
The bloon solver is even cheapers and it's performs better than bomb blitz
Idk about you but id call it a "rebalance" rework seems more like if the tower itself got a new mechanic or changed completly
It was a sideways change on a tower that needed a buff. Frankly, it sucks.
Yeah i already never went past the T4 recursive cluster, especially on chimps since its special ability is ineffective but now i'd never even use it outside of that, except in challenges and contested territory tiles
Honestly the only way to make this tower useful is doing it like in BTDB2, that it triggers just before the bloon leaks. It will make it slightly more useful in CHIMPS and won't force Corvus.
Unfortunately, in BTD6, this would be unbelievably broken because it would basically be tsar bomba but can actually do damage with its main attack. They would need to heavily increase its price or decrease the ability damage if they want to do go with that route.

It deals 25% less overall dps, the cost of the t5 got decreased by 20%, even without considering the cost of the whole tower it clearly got a nerf, but alch is alot more effective with it, i'll say its slightly better
Weirdly enough, I think it makes both crosspaths more useful. Since it now deals less damage, +1 from top crosspath is very nice and obviously middle crosspath is even better with an alchemist now
The decreased fortified damage is VERY apparent, but I'd say its slightly better
Early/mid game it seems like a small nerf in power, but arguably the lower price will give it better up-time throughout that period to make up for it. From round 80 onwards, when fortified bloons are everywhere, it's a massive nerf. They've taken what used to be a solid overall tower that couldn't be afforded until quite late, and made it an mid-game specialist. While that can be good in some modes, in chimps, you don't want to be wasting your limited money on a tower that won't help you when things really get tough. Add in that it's ability won't help you in chimps, and you have a tower that can really only shone on the 'lesser' modes.
By the numbers, it appears to have received a small cost reduction but a significant reduction in power. Honestly, this is baffling to me since most players considered it not worth using. The problem is with its role. Its good against bloons and poor against blimps. There's a place for that sort of thing (SotF and Bloon Solver for example), but Bomb Blitz is vastly inferior to the alternatives in its role. Why on Earth would you spend the same thing for the short range Blitz when you can spend about the same amount and get SotF and have $1k per round and global coverage?

It's a tower I think nobody really uses unless it's required for a challenge! and a nerf imo.

It's correct based on how nijakiwi does their patch notes notation, but that notation is confusing and opposite to how most people would think of it.

no I think you're right, it is misleading -33% (attack) speed in title clearly refers to a slower rate of fire, which would make it misleading The way that ninjakiwi words it, "attack cool down", though confusing, does imply a lower attack cool down would equal a faster rate of fire.
Top path should be better now because adding more damage has a relatively bigger effect than making it shoot faster, now that the speed has been increased and the damage decreased.
Bomb Blitz probably has some SERIOUS synergy with Shattering Shells/Blooncineration after this. Weak to fortified MOABs? Well, let's remove the fortification!
I think a new bomb blitz where it has no cooldown or a 1sec cooldown on its live lost ability could be really cool I mean you cant leak like a bunch of greens to activate the ability twice as the greens would just pop and with the soft livecap of 1000 you cant just gobble up everything that leaks If you get unlucky even with 500 lives you could easily loose to round 63
its obviously a nerf that theyre trying to sell as a balanced tower by making it cheaper. it basicly made it only decent for midgame, that damage cut from fortified is absurd since in late raounds pretty much everything starts to be fortified...
can you try out flash bomb and sauda in a chimps run? with sauda's increased damage to stunned bloons, i feel like it would be pretty good
I'm glad I get to use bomb blitz in more games, but it still feels mediocre I really hope it gets major buffs, because while it's nice it's more affordable, this ain't it, and the leak passive feels useless - by the time I have a bomb blitz, I'm either not leaking, or it's really rare for anything that's not a moab-class to leak

All those rapid explosions are satisfying to watch.
Also middle cross path is best for the bottom path bomb all the way through bomb blitz.

No id say its worse BECAUSE its cheaper. But rather have it be better and expensive Although now the 205 bomb is better early game utility with a 320 alc

Haven’t watched the video yet but I’m pretty sure the new bomb blitz pairs much better with the alchemist so I think it is better overall

Yeah idk. I want it to be better really bad. I think attackspeed has insane value in this game. But the fortified reduction feels painful
Duno why they even nerf tier 5 bottom path. Cos most ppl going spam 204 bomb anyways unless you wan the bomb blitz ability.
