Finally found the right snowblower close enough for the right price. It has been on the list for the past several years but never quite made it high enough on the priority list to happen until now. After plowing out several times already this year, and having a bunch of wear and tear accumulate on the plowing equipment, we decided to make a serious effort to acquire a FRONT MOUNT - REAR PTO snowblower for our tractor. Just as we started looking with intent to buy, one came available about 80 miles away and was worth the effort. All we can say is, what an improvement!

Best time to blow snow is middle of the night when the snow is crisp and frozen instead of wet
I ran one of those blowers on the Willamette pass in oregon for over 25 years when i worked for the highway department I got so many srories about things i saw, being buried for 6 hours in a avalanche and getting hit by numerous semi trucks and cars while blowing snow.
WOW! Bravo - this is one of the most honest, introspective, and insightful quotes I've ever seen anywhere! "...lucky for me, this year mother nature has been kind enough to review and and audit all my system dependencies highlighting all of the flaws and weaknesses..."
Help on the way. Your neighbor Heath finished his plow truck. Too much snow this year for one guy to handle.
I sold my rear blower years ago because my neck just couldn't take it anymore, I wish I knew these frames existed at the time to put it up front.
Keith must love to have you in the neiborhood
It’s a big pain in the -- to be looking back at a rear mounted snowblower so I don’t blame you for buying a front mounted snowblower.
GOOD TO FIND YOU ALL.
Hope your wife Mark had a safe trip to work
Front mount rear PTO drive blower. I'm 62, lives in North Ontario and been around tractors all my life. Learned something new today.
its rare to see this. I knew it existed but hardly anyone has it
If you think you are cold then you will be cold!! 38 degrees is so 🥶😅
Hey on those couplings just find the coupling that fits the snow blower and put it on one end of a piece of hose and then on the other end that features on your tractor then what you can do is have that short hose that you can just put in between the 2 and you won't have to buy a long long hose
Plexi glass and wooden frame, at least in the front to keep the snow and wind off you……. Love the new snowblower just in the nick of time.❤❤
Alot of work , effort and money just to access your land. Now you are rocking with your snow blower.
WOW. Thanks for sharing! Ron PTL USA
"SWEET", a snowblower! How this will make a dramatic and positive change in your life. Food for thought, you should consider an LED light bar upon the top of your tractor roll bar, facing forward and backward; if possible. Fun video, "thanks" for sharing; until next time, stay safe and healthy.
Now I see a need for a second tractor dedicated for snow duty (no loader only the hydro) and as a spare since you already have a loader. Redundancy since you need a tractor for the ranch.
Your back will thank you.
Definitely a cab is a good idea.
A new toy....you just need to build a cover over your tractor seat. It's what one would call a cold shower in the morning. lol I bet Heath appreciated you for plowing his road too. Stay warm!
I toss a hd trash bag over mind to keep it dry. Cold show is right haha. Nothing worse than a cold wet seat! 😮

You and your wife are amazing! God bless you all and your family!🥰❤️🤍💙🇺🇸💒
That blower is going to be nice. That way you blow the snow over the banks and down the hill.
U should have been a NEWSMAN with that neat voice
Nice looking snowblower Mark
I have one mounted on an industrial Ford tractor with cab. Works pretty good. Only downfall is, the tractor is only 2 WD. So I have to carry a rear weight.
Snowblower It awesome! It does a great job!
Great job snowblowing Mark
What a great result Especially 5 am love
Excellent Video.
Seems the Snow Blower needs more Power and Speed to the Snow Blower itself. Is there a way to up the speed on the Blower without increasing speed on the Tractor ? When running snow Blowers here we always make sure the Blowers are throwing the snow 25 to 40 Feet to get the snow of and away from the road. Of course you know all this. Maybe away to Hear proper speed to Blower. Great Show I'll watch some more. Place seems really nice. You can make a cab. On the tractor. Run a 12 volt Heater they work better then you might think. Happy Travels stay safe.
No music, just naturally recorded sound.
I could tell this winter you prepare everything, white snow make your land more beautiful
Great video Mark
Sweet blower... it's priceless to have in your location. Have a great day!
RPR sent me here. Your videos kept me here. Good job on your narration
Awesome, thank you!
happy you go that machine brother.
Just a suggestion. I know I'm late to the party but if you put an impeller kit on there it will go a long ways towards keeping your snowblower from slugging up with that wet stuff. Also you should do yourself a huge favor and look up a soft tractor cab for that thing that you can take off in the summer. I know they seem like a little bit of money but dang it they are so worth it mine's original tractor cab ,but there's another company called cover my tractor that also makes them. They look like pretty solid units too. As an added bonus in the summertime you have a sunshade is something to keep the rain off of you when you take the skin off. Anyway no criticism just a suggestion thanks for taking us along on the ride
If you are going to live there you should get a beast for a snow blower and tractor.
Keep on , keep on, brutha and thanks for the video.
You need to show that to red poppy ranch he might find him one
A nice tractor with a closed heated cab would certainly be on my list of to gets!! Freeze your butt off out in that weather
Yes we hope to get one next year.
I like your choice of music. 😎
Its funny how that little voice was telling you again it was time to get a snow thrower... For me the little voice told me to get a generator (back in 2003). 2 weeks before the entire east coast of north america had a big power failure.. Course my power stayed on but for most went it was out for 2 days. Still glad I listened , its given me a lot of comfort.
I own just a couple acres but my drive is 900' long, suffered for years with lawn tractors etc: then in 2003 I went to the New Holland dealer and told him I wanted the biggest hp tractor and still get mid pto for front mounted blower, still have it, has never left me sit and the neighbors call like crazy when the snow blows, 2 yrs ago I put a soft cab on it just couldn't take that snow blowing back in my face any longer
Woah that's awsome.
I watch you and red poppy, I am sure glad you both are buddies and help each other. He is gunna love that new toy too. I bet he is next to buy a blower instead of a plow?
He had a blower and sold it
You do a very good job narrating the vid. I hope more people appreciate the quality of your channel.
His narrating and story telling is what I like best about this channel.
Can’t wait for the next video!
Great investment for your homestead I don't know how you and heath do it in the winter keeping the road open and the wife's happy stay safe lots of love from ohio
Great investment IF you are going to live in that Gawd forsaken place in the winter. You have to have the right equipment to live there. That is a hell of apiece of equipment, never knew that type existed but it really makes sense. Now IH your neighbor Heath will het a blower for his new skid steer you guys might have that winter licked !! !
Buy several spray bottles of the Turtle Wax Spray and coat the whole blower and chute with it, that'll help keep the snow from sticking to the metal.
Hi Marc I saw you blowing snow yesterday the 12th of january on red poppy ranch . between you and Heath you should have it contained.
you will never forget thompsons pass your whole life
Very true!! Or the town of Valdez:)
what an interesting implement, thanks for sharing
Awesome, just what you needed
I am a long time snowblower…40+ years. My current unit is 72” wide and 24” high. I’ve read many of the other comments and much of what they say is good info. I would emphasize; keep your rpm’s high ( I presume 540 rpm) and your ground speed low enough that your tractor doesn’t bog down. My snowblower’s discharge chute has polypropylene sheets lining it so snow will not build up in it. Polypropylene is very slippery. I have also heard of some folks painting the impeller area with nonstick paint. Don’t know how well it works but seems like it might be a workable idea. Keep a set of tools with you along with shear bolts. Regular preventive maintenance real important. Keep everything well lubed. Best luck to you!
Great content memories of my younger self not great at the time looking back would not have changed anything.
That's good you found one I would not have a snowblower that mount on the back of my tractor nether that be a pain in the nick lol if i cud not fine one I would have look for a brush hog or find a trans and a snowblower that mount on the back and some steel and made it into a front snowblower. Maybe later on you can fine a older 4x4 tractor that you can put the snowblower on and your newer tractor you can put the back blade and the front lift. If you get some block of wax melt it an brush it on the snowblower it will help a lot from the snow a slush sticking. Wow you do have a lot to snow remove
Just a thought from the peanut gallery. If you're going to have to deal with a lot of snow, you need a real tractor with size, weight, and cab, I somehow picture this little beast sliding off the road to "I don't know where". Weight is your friend in snow, along with good tires and chains.
Another great video, thanks!
It was nice to see the elk horn arch landmark in that little town! Don’t live there now but was born and raised about half of my youth years there. -Like always, really enjoy your videos!
That's great! My sister lived just outside (south) of there for several years before moving to Thayne and then Jackson. I spent many days visiting here and getting breakfast at the old lodge diner. It's surprising how much it's grown over the past 10 years.
@@MountainMapleRanch left there about 38 years ago. Was back a few years ago to bury my uncle. still love that small town. -but it just kills me what Jackson has become… sad to me. Star valley winter’s sure last a long time there, but I’m told they aren’t as severe as they used to be. Lived on a sheep ranch there and boy did we have snow. I remember my siblings and I going trick-or - treating and there was already almost 2 feet of snow on the ground. -The wife and I are actually thinking of moving back to cold country. Everyone says we’re crazy cause we’re not supposed to move to the snow as we age, but I got one more “call of the wild” in me that I got to appease before I’m really old, so if we can get our house sold we will actually be fellow Idahoans. We considered Star Valley but the only real jobs are in Jackson. And we don’t want (nor can we afford) to live there, but Idaho is a pretty nice place so that’s the plan. We will be west of you though (closer to the capital unfortunately) but got bought a little piece of raw land up in the mountains, so we will be starting over from scratch as well. It will be about 50+ min drive to work for the wife, as she is also a nurse. She drives 30 minutes now so she feels like she can adapt. it’s just the adapting to driving in the snow that’s got us a little concerned cause down here in southern Utah we don’t have to deal with it. We may learn that we are going to need a snow blower and something to attach it to as well. -That attachment to your tractor was a great find, and I hope it serves you well for many years! …Ah, my apologies, that was very long winded…
@@nieldcreek2098 Well I enjoyed your comment and didn’t think it was long winded. Best wishes to you and your 😇wife. 🙏❤️
U should make a windshield out of plexiglass to keep some snow off of u just a idea
Have you seen impeller kits ? Impeller/fan having tighter fit in impeller/fan housing throws snow further. You can make your own with thick rubber bolted to impeller/fan.
First time viewer, looks like beautiful country
Apply a bunch of ceramic cover on the snowblower it will repel even the ice
Next you need to get yourself some sort of cab with a heater
Lucky that 5am pioneer woman has a Mountain man for a husband...this will be a game changer for yous...😊
That cab needs to be moved up priority list!
I don't know if this would help. Review some KZhead videos of people bolting mud flaps to the fan on the blower to tighten up the tolerances for throwing snow. I did this on my rear-mounted snow blower to reduce clogging. I haven't had a lot of snow to test it. But some people swear by it.
Awesome find...you might be able to find a canvas cab with metal frame and plexiglass windshield it's not perfect but it keeps the snow out of your face and it directs the warm air off the motor into where you sit
So happy you were able to get the blower.
Lots of snow this year...
Mark is a hardworking man with a loving wife who always supports him in all his projects around their place . Keep it up👍🙏 Nice and loved watching you both doing work together in your Ranch🥰❤️🥰
Great purchase , that will really help , as we can see . Another great video !!
Thank you so much:)
Great video! Thank you
Be tough living where you do without that neat little tractor. The front mount blower is nice but having the loader on the front and blower on back is handy also.
I have never seen a unit like that! It is quite intersting to say the least.
I know exactly what you mean. For years I've been wanting a walk behind snow blower like the one you recently got. Keeps getting put off for stuff that seems more important when I don't have snow to move. LOL
hi there looking good , got something like that for my tractor for the same reason , good luck with it john
Two 30” light bars, 1 facing forward and 1 backward,on the roll bar of the tractor will give you substantially more light at night…
Ever notice when you get a new snowblower your neighbor's driveway also is also a lot cleaner.
Hahahah, funny how that works.
Great that you were able to get the right snow blower attachment for your tractor!!
Spraying WD40 and coating the chute when blowing wet snow really helps
My heart goes to the both of you. Please tell the misses always wear something warm over or under those scrubs. My Late Wife was a Nurse in the mountains of Tennessee until we moved to Lower Michigan. I know the snow was no where what you are getting their so God Bless and please be careful. PS We moved to South Carolina a couple years before she passed.
Hi Mark pretty cool blower makes work more enjoyable ,,keep going man cheers 👍👍👍😀😎🦘🇦🇺
Its smart simple blower great
Hello from Saskatchewan. The Schulte units are made here. I made up a pto loader mount blower for my Massy 1742. Lots of work to build, worked well. Needed a ssqa so I could still use the loader to handle deer feed.
Hey the inside propeller that actually tosses the snow add Pollyanna to it so it's just barely touching or almost touching the the housing it makes a big difference with wet snow can use rubber aswell but poly is better
Looks like my house in Montana …..so sick of plowing that’s why I’m in Yuma 😊
Please show Marc in his high heel boots next go round! He is doing a fantastic job on the road. Thank you. 🥰 ~Cedar
I’ll send you the picture!! 😂
Now you need to get the tractor with the cab so you can stay dry and warm
What a neat job that blower does. Looking forward to you getting a cab for that tractor. Thanks for sharing and be safe.
Looks very nice
Add rubber to the ends of the inner impeller. Snow will throw farther and stop the clogging.
I would've put a plow on front and snowblower on back to plow smaller storms fast.
Well need a cab for your tractor in winter.
man that was a tough two days of work! Congrats on the new blower, hope u find a good deal on a cab to keep u warm :)
im glad you got your heating shed up and going before the snow came. i love watching you guys.. brandon from Burton. keep warm and be safe
Looks like a great buy and should pay for itself promptly
First video I watched of yours, loved it! I just subscribed to it.
We really appreciate that. Thank you
