The 'You' here is, Allah AZW. 'If You forgive them' , = if Allah AZW forgives those who doesn't believe in Isa Ibn Maryam AS and those who say He AS is God. But in The Noble Quran and in The Hadith Mubarak, Allah AZW has confirmed that associating partners with Allah SWT, is the only sin that Allah AZW will not forgive!

One of the reasons the guy broke down when he was reciting was the fact that if Jesus, one of the Mighty Messengers of Allah will be questioned about his mission, how would our questioning be as normal humans..

Pure spirit is angel Gabriel, he was always the helper of all the prophets. When you learn more about Islam you’ll realise God is not inside you but he has knowledge of everything within you. Sahih Bukhari 7:71:590 * Narrated Said bin Al-Musaiyab: Abu Huraira said, “I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, ‘There is none born among the off-spring of Adam, but Satan touches it. **A child therefore, cries loudly at the time of birth because of the touch of Satan**, except Mary and her child.” Then Abu Huraira recited: “And I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from the outcast Satan.” (3.36) Sahih Bukhari Book 55 No. 641

Psychologically, crying is a catharsis; a release of burden in your heart. In the night prayers strong men cried out to God, in the day they are ready to face anything.
When a human comprehends the wait of Allah's words, they become in ore of Allah. It's recognition of the divine. Men and woman find tears in salah, and reading quran where the heart submits and the emotions are release either because of gratitude or love and also fear of Allah.
The Quran makes me cry all the time ❤

Pls don’t get it mixed up. Allah (may He forgive us) is never a part of His creation, He is above it (how-only He knows). Thinking of Him as a part of us (or any of His creations) is a big big sin. Allah doesn’t have to be a part of His creation to command something.

@edsss666 Ilah just means God. Allah means: The one true God. But the names don't matter (We Muslims keep to the ones revealed) but as long as you worship the Creator, the God of Abraham. We worship the same God. You might have a different name for Him, but it's the same one.

The thing is, we don't know if their name for Allah was given to them by Allah or if it was an innovation. So we Muslims don't use their name, just to be safe. But my point was that Muslims and Jews both worship the God of Abraham. So that in this particular case 'the name doesn't matter' since we worship the same God but that guy tried to claim Allah is a 'different' God. Thanks for trying to make it clear, as we don't want to spread anything false of course. It's just hard to make short messages and not oversimplfy things

The reciter is late Syekh Ali Jaber an Arabian originated from Madinah but residential in Jakarta Indonesia, a very well-known ulama and we all love him and missed him so much..

@edsss666 Bro English is a new language. The word "j" was not a part of English before. The real english translated name from armenic to greek to English was "yesus" whis is actually same as "esa". But with time english language evolved and they started pronouncing y as j. Thats how a new Alphabet j was created and jesus name came into existence instead of yesus.

As Salaamu Alaikum, May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless you. But I have to correct you, this was not Isa Alaihi Salam begging Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to forgive them. This is Isa Alaihi Salam expressing his content with whatever decision Allah Azzawajal makes concerning those who deviated. All matters refer back to Allah, for He does what He Wills and none can question Him about what He does, while He will question them.
Notice he does not invoke at all. Notice Issa AS doesn't use the word "The Merciful" here because its forbidden
Astaghfirullah. Shirk only has one consequence in the hearafter. Allah SWT mercy surrounds the heavens and earth but does not include Shirk

I assume you mean that it is shirk to ask Allah (SWT) to forgive someone that died as a disbeliever? Is that what you meant? I know that in Surah Tawbah even our Prophet (SAW) was told not to make dua for his uncle, so that does make sense. May Allah (SWT) guide us all towards the right path before it is too late

Yess was going to say that. Makes more sense in arabic cause this is the language of the Quran. In english you can get it mixed up. But also in the translation you see the capital Y in You, meaning Allah.

Jesus says to Allah, “And if you forgive them, then you are the Mighty, the Wise.” This is not a request for forgiveness for them, but rather to show his innocence towards them, and that this matter concerns Allah, and Jesus does not dare to express his opinion. He also mentioned that God is Mighty and Wise, because some kings and presidents of the earth may forgive some of their wrongdoers because of their weakness, and because if they punish them, this may lead to the destabilization of their authority and kingdom. As for Allah, no one can dispute His authority, for He is the Mighty, the Wise, Glory be to Him.

This scene you just heard in Day of Judgement, maybe followed by the scene described by Jesus in Matthew 7:22-21 "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" (Matthew 7:22-23) First they call him LORD!! when he is a Prophet. Second, they say we did these deeds IN YOUR NAME, instead of In the Name of God. Of course the context in the bible is altered, and many would say "No no, Jesus meant this and that it is not about this or that.." Just like when Jesus said "My father is greater than I " they explain this as "they are co equal but he is humbling himself" wow so Jesus is not able to express himself in simple phrase, they need to clarify a mighty prophet words with their words.. when we start interpreting words as we wish, our speech or any text will mean anything to any one. My father is greater than I, is a simple straightforward sentence, how could this be "I am humbly co equal with God"!! So I am almost sure that God, who knows everything, asked Jesus in the Quran "Did you tell them to take me and my mother as deities " To let Jesus worshipers hear the truth from Jesus himself, denying their claim.. Because there are verses in Quran where God explain that in That day many False Gods and Idols will deny their worshipers in front of them.... And Jesus pbuh is one case here.

The Roman Empired tricked the later generations of Christians by melting the Romans beliefs with Jesus AS teachings. For example the "Give the other cheek stuff" is the way for an empire to make people subordinate and being less rebelious to the empire. At that time only few people could write and read, so they did whatever they wanted with the scriptures.. What a disaster!

I just cried ...how our creator promised heavy punishment for the disbelievers unlike those punishment meted before and our prophet Isa lpbuh tried to save them, begging on their behalf. I am just humbled by his love and sincerity even though his umat did not followed his teachings. It scared me to imagine what kind of heavy punishment waiting for the disbelievers.
When the quran mentions anything to do with the holy spirit it is talking about the angel jibreel. Jibreel is the one angel that connects all prophets to allah.

The Pure Spirit in Islam is the angel Gabriel, who is the angel responsible for the revelation to all the prophets, not just Muhammad and Jesus (pbuthem) He was also mentioned in the Qur’an in the story of the Prophet Abraham and the Prophet Lot (pbuthem) The Holy Spirit was unknown when the Romans adopted Christianity, but they later decided that it was a god or part of god
الروح القدس او روح القدس Rouh el Qudus is the Holy Spirit in Arabic. The translation here with the word pure is not accurate. He is the Messenger of the LORD, Gabriel عليه السلام

It is Jesus who is saying to Allah " If you punish them indeed they are your servents - but if you forgive them indeed it is you who is exalted in Might the wise". Jesus is trying to say that it's my plea to you that if you forgive them it is you who is already exalted in might and wise because Allah has punishment also . Look at the start of the verses: Assembly of Messengers. All prophets will be questioned by Allah. When it comes to Jesus the question is interesting and specific whether Jesus was the one asked himself to be worshipped? Jesus pbuh immediately denied it and says he only will be a witness for his followers while he is with them ( before ascending to heaven). You are on yourself my Christian friends. Come to Islam.

Excuse me if i may, if im not wrong, the conversation that saying " If You should punish them indeed they are your servants, but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." The word "You" in this verse means ALLAH...it is jesus talking to Allah, may be the whole verse means : " If you punish them, O Lord, they are your servants and You can do with them as You wish. If You graciously forgive those of them who had faith, nothing can stop You from doing so because You are the Mighty, Who cannot be overpowered, and the Wise in Your handling of matters."
ALLAH’s answer was extremely wise when Jesus prayed for those of his people who went astray after him. This is a day that will benefit those who are honest AND truthful. Indeed, everything revolves around honesty. Any person who is honest with himself will find the truth and follow it inevitably. May God guide us all to His straight path.
Jesus is saying to Allah, if you punish them, Allah they are you servant, who disobeyed you. Nothing is worse than worship someone other than Allah, infront of Allah. So Jesus is asking Allah to forgive them.
No it is the opposite. He is not asking or invoking. It's crystal clear in Arabic. Issa (As) is simply STATING that Allah can do whatever he wants because he is their owner. Notice the names of Allah 'all Merciful' and 'All Forgiving' are missing here. We as muslims know the consequence of Shirk in the hearafter.

I too have found myself weeping especially when I remember how some of my Christian friends worship Jesus instead of God.l pray that they shall worship ONE GOD .
the reciter broke down because they felt the weight of the burden on the shoulders of Jesus who is a good and righteous man trying to save his people but is hearing of their punishment. “shirk” is associating partners with God including modern Christians that believe in the Trinity (Jesus as a partner to God). Jesus is sad his message may have led people to committing shirk which is the greatest sin in Islam. He doesnt want anyone to suffer the wrath of God

Just to clarify, the line that talks about forgiveness and exultation @7:05 is Jesus addressing Allah. Jesus will appeal to Allah and say to Him, "but if You forgive them- indeed it is You who is Exalted in Might, the Wise." Jesus in this line will be asking Allah on this day to forgive those people, i.e the people following the Christian belief of the trinity. Going back to @5:00 Allah will ask Jesus, "'O son of Mary, did you say to the people, "Take me and my mother as dieties beside Allah?'" Jesus' reply at @5:06 will be: "'He(Jesus) will say to Allah, "Exalted are You'", "It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it... Indeed, it is You(Allah) who is the Knower of the unseen.'"

Salamualaikum brother Han and sister Kelly, i just wanted to clear up the confusion you had, so the answer to your question at 13:22 when the verse says "you" it is Isa (Jesus) peace be upon him saying 'You" to Allah. Meaning Allah would punish who he wills and forgive who he wills because he is the most exalted.
It's great to see people have the soft heart to feel and experience the emotion of the verses, but its really not about the crying. Please guys take a deep dive into the message of these verses.

These verses in Qur'an are in past tense when you read in Arabic, its as if this is already happened which means it is definite and this conversation will definitely happen on the day of Judgement.. Allahu Akbar You can see how sensitive and important this is, who has done the Shirk here? Those who takes Jesus peace be upon him equavalent to Allah S.W.T., the Christians.. but why Allah S.W.T. instead asked Isa ibne Maryam A.S. even when Allah S.W.T. knows everything, that did he said to Worship himself and his Mother instead The Almighty?. This is to show us how sensitive this is And you can see how Isa ibne Maryam A.S. answered to Allah S.W.T. saying "Exalted are You! It is not for me to say 'that' to which I have no right." and now see how Isa ibne Maryam A S. is losing his confidence while saying "If I have said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed it is You who is Knower of the unseen". We Muslims all believe Isa ibne Maryam A.S. will never say such unrighful words, but even though see how Isa ibne Maryam A.S. loses his confidence here.. Allahu Akbar. Shirk is the most sensitive issue in the sight of Allah S.W.T. And after this Ayats Isa ibne Maryam A.S. says that he only said not to them except to worship Allah S.W.T. who is My Lord and Your Lord. All Praise is for Allah S.W.T. who has made Qur'an easy to read for us. He is so Merciful that He is like showing us a recorded video of what will happen on the day of Judgement even before we are being judged and much more things like this one.. Alhamdulillah for everything.

The reciter was really emotional and fearful, especially when he recited the verses regarding the punishment of God on those who don't believe in his signs and the evidence provided when Allah send down a full feast to feed all of the people present there!!! And the Pure Spirit or Holy Spirit is the angel Gabriel! First part of the conversation already happened, and the second part of the conversation will happen in the future on Judgment Day!
